Here we go with the New 2011 Concert Tour Review Thread. Michael's tour begins again in the USA in Florida on January 13, 2011!!!!!!!! I hope Michael is well rested and ready to get back out on the road!
Please share your concert experiences, pictures, video links etc. with us here. We love hearing about the concerts and the great times had by the fans.
You all have made these threads fun in the past and I look forward to more adventures and fun this year!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Sylvia, Sylvie and Kathy for your warm Welcomes! I'm still livin' "in the afterglow" of a fun, fun, fun trip and great MB concert! And, Sylvie, you're right-- I tend to run a bit on the shy side, so though I don't post I do check from time to time to see what's going on. -- But maybe I will go ahead and tell the story of "Annie's Awakening" (my daughter), or should I call it "A Bolton Awakening!" I don't know if anyone else will care, but I think it's kinda cute-- but then, again, she's my daughter! --but here goes.... So, it really all started pre-concert on the drive TO California... About 3 hours into the trip Annie fell asleep in the back seat, so, with no more chatter from her, or "Mommy, tell me a story...", I decided to put in a --guess what-- Michael Bolton cd. Well, I just grabbed one out of my cd case, which happened to be the "Only a Woman Like You" album, and cranked it up a bit. Well, a little while later Annie wakes up and after she "comes to" for a bit she says, "Mom, what was that Aladdin song? Play the Aladdin song again... I like that one." --- "The Aladdin song?????" I ask --- "Yeah, the one that woke me up" she says. Well, I didn't know what "The Alladin song" was -- I had only been listening to MB!-- but we start re-playing songs to figure out which one it was. Turns out the instrumental intro on "Wanna Love With My Eyes Closed", sure enough, sounds like an Arabian-Nights kinda thing...it's one of my favorite songs but I hadn't really paid that much attention to the instrumentals!... well, Annie loved it and had to play it over and over. She loves to sing and picks up lyrics easily, so now she knows it better than I do! lol! Then, of course, she had to play the whole cd numerous times through--- lol!-- also played some other of MB cds, but she kept going back to that one, and "Gems". So, there it is, the Annie/Bolton Awakening!

Hi Mer, that's such a sweet story, thanks for sharing! Do your other kids enjoy Michael? My kids were raised on Michael but only 2 out of 4 do love his music and my eldest son only enjoys "Jack Sparrow"! lol I like the fact that you used "awakening" to describe Annie's experience... :D Thanks for sharing sweetie: that's what this forum is all about! Kids sure do have an ear for music. My son was the same way but sadly...not for Bolton music...lol

Oh Kathy you are in with a fabulous nom de plume right away - love it ......you will learn quickly Mer that Kathy is the nom de plumer and Sylvie is the Solver and I am just the Wee One but thanks for coming back in and telling your story about Annie and I certainly agree with her about the intro to "Love With My Eyes Closed" and I think the whole of that CD has an eastern feel to it especially too "Dance With Me", "Simply" and "Slowly" - absolutely beautiful and certainly didn't get the recognition it deserved !! So glad to hear though that Annie has got impeccable taste just like her mother !! :)

LOVE that CD Mer...When he did Dance with me and I Wanna Hear You Say it and songs off Only A Woman CD I loved them. He would dedicate Only A Woman LIke you to the ladies in the audience...That Album is still one of my fav's that he ever recorded. I was sad when those songs left the setlist....Love this one tho, GEMS has some lovely ones done live. Saw him in CT in June and I agree with Kathy R....blew me away then also....

Welcome to all friends&family here to the forum. Love OAWLY too. It, too, is one of ultimate favorite CD'S. "Wanna Love You With My Eyes Closed" is my favorite song off there. I extremely LOVE the way he multi tracks his voice on that song. Boltonnut from L. A. CA
