Here we go with the New 2011 Concert Tour Review Thread. Michael's tour begins again in the USA in Florida on January 13, 2011!!!!!!!!  I hope Michael is well rested and ready to get back out on the road!

 

Please share your concert experiences, pictures, video links etc. with us here. We love hearing about the concerts and the great times had by the fans.

You all have made these threads fun in the past and I look forward to more adventures and fun this year!!

I look forward to reading everyone's reviews once again and also contributing some of my own in 2011!

The next show on MB's tour is at The Mansion Theater, Branson, MO tomorrow, Saturday, 10/6/2011.

I know Kerie and Tom and Ashley will be there and hopefully some more fans from the forum.

Everyone attending have a great time! Hope to see some more reviews after this one!!!

We went to the concert in St. Charles, MO last night (10/06/11) and it was fantastic! 1998 was the last time Michael performed in my "neck of the woods". It was one of the best I've attended, and I've been to a LOT of them! The crowd was very enthusiastic and Michael laughed and was very chatty all night long. The concert lasted 2 hours and, of course, that's never long enough. In the past his set list rarely varied, but WOW it sure did last night. Sorry girls, but I was too busy watching/listening to Michael to write down each song. :o) The concert started with the "Go The Distance" melody which sequed into Michael's entrance and "Soul Provider".  He sang 2 songs from "One World, One Love (Just One Love and Hope It's Too Late)...4 songs from "Gems" ("Love Is Everything", "Over the Rainbow", "The Prayer", and "Pride...In The Name of Love" which was one of the encore songs). Then, in no special order, there was "Steel Bars", "How Can We Be Lovers", "Said I Loved You, But I Lied",  "Dock of the Bay", "Georgia", "Summertime", "Nessun Dorma", "Sweet Home Chicago", etc. I know I'm missing some songs, but trust me....he was awesome! Evidently, Kelly LaBeck (??...not sure about her last name), is doing a few concerts with Michael and they sang a few duets together! That was so cool! She has a beautiful voice. And, yep, he did his "walk through the audience" which thrilled everyone. From then on, we all stood at the front of the stage and enjoyed the view and MB's voice. He did 4 songs for his encore which is the most I've seen him do. Everyone left happy wishing he could have stayed all night!

 

As far as merchandise is concerned....not much there. No t-shirts or tour books. They did have 4 or 5 different CDs ("Gems" was autographed), an autographed 8 x 10 "Jack Sparrow" photograph (which I grabbed! LOL!), and a Michael Lington CD. What I thought was amusing was that before the show, there were very few people at the merchandise booth....AFTER the show it was packed!! I'm sure the two girls sitting behind me were among those wanting to get "Gems". Neither one were aware of Michael's newest albums nor had they even heard about "Jack Sparrow"!! I kindly told them they need to check out the video ASAP.

 

To all those who still have shows to look forward to...you won't be disappointed!

P.S. Michael's next stop is Branson, MO on Saturday (Oct. 8th) and I'm now kicking myself for not getting tickets for that one. The 5-hour drive would have definitely been worth it.

Thanks so much for your review Anna and so glad to hear you had such a fantastic time and that Michael was in fine form and you lucky little devil getting a picture from Jack Sparrow, especially one signed too - absolutely great and so pleased for you !!! :)
