As you can see Michael is again playing in this tournament and the schedule of play is as follows:-

3M Celebrity Challenge Competition will take place on Wednesday, 8th February, and will be competed for over 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 17th and 18th holes and then from Thursday, 9th February until Sunday, 12th February the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Final Rounds will take place and I am sure I can speak for us all in wishing Michael all the very, very best in the competition and in hoping that he thoroughly enjoys his rounds of golf and that too he has as much success as he did last year in the 3M Celebrity Challenge Competition when the following picture was taken after Michael had holed the winning putt:-

No wonder they ended up losing so many shots if the rough was like that.....OMG I thought that was maybe somewhere in Scotland like an overgrown wilderness but that is great to have a photo from this year.....at least we have got one for I couldn't find any !!! lol

Here is another article I found whilst looking for all things Michael and golf and it is part of an article I found in the Daily Record, a Glasgow based newspaper, and is from 2009 and Michael also says about hoping to play a round of golf one day at St. Andrews and possibly will be able to when he next tours in 2010......does anyone know if Michael managed a round at St. Andrews ???????   Michael come on into this thread and let us know, please, even pretty please ???????? LOL.

"is also looking for love and hasn't ruled out meeting a Scottish partner.

He said: "I've recently been propositioned with some crazy things, including a reality show where they try to find me a wife. I'm single at the moment, but I'm not going to pretend I'm shut off to the idea of meeting someone new - and I do like the Scots.

"All my memories of performing in Glasgow and throughout Scotland are connected to the energy the people give off.

"The audiences are so emotional and warm in Glasgow, not staid like in some places.

"I guess that sums up many Scots and I really like that.

"The single most important thing when I tour is how the people are. If they're not gracious and don't make me feel welcome, it doesn't matter how beautiful the country is or how great the architecture is. I won't go back there again unless the vibe is right."

I never expected to find an article like that where Michael had said anything about the Scots.....OMG do you think he could still feel the same in 2012 as in 2009 and that maybe, maybe, just maybe I MIGHT still stand a chance ....eh, what do you think ???????????? ROFL: literally......yeah, dream on kid !!!!! LOL.

As the 3rd Round is nearly over and it is nearly 11.45 here and I am needing a pair of matchsticks I'll tell you what the score is on the 17th for Michael is standing at -4 which will give him a round of 66 so he has done a 69 in the 1st Round and 72 in the 2nd so a total overall of 207 and he has beaten his partner Garth Mulroy who had a 73 in the 1st round and a 74 in the second and in the 3rd is lying +8 which will give him a 78 so in total overall  225 and I think we can safely say they have not made the cut for tomorrow's final but I would say that Kenny G's score is pretty good and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the cut !! :)

Well as I found no other photos of Michael....went into Zimbio and thought when I saw over 200 photos from Pebble Beach Michael was sure to be there but this was, in my opinion, one of the best photos that appeared -

To let everyone know that at the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach unfortunately Kenny G just missed out on the cut....hardlines, for he played well.....better luck next year Kenny !!! :)    Also better luck next year to Michael for he too missed out on the cut but what he has got to do next year is come in with rounds equalling the age he will be on 26th Feb. 2013 and he will be through.....now that is something to aim for Michael !!! LOL

Thought as such a beautiful picture of the two of them a more than fitting way to close this little thread ....although....I am still going to look through plenty of pages to see if I can spot one more of Michael and will announce the winners after today's Final Round !! :)

Sylvia.   Your wee Scottish friend and in case Michael comes in to have a little look .....just to let you know I am from Glasgow that place where you think we are all "warm and friendly" because we really are....we are renowned for it in Scotland ....one of the most friendliest cities you can ever visit and I ain't just "bumming" for that is said about Glasgow so Michael, going to think long and hard about maybe, just maybe, coming back and paying a wee visit and I keep telling you too that there are gorgeous golf courses all around Glasgow and there are and I know a member of the Bearsden Golf Club and it is in Glasgow so I could get you a round there and I also know the Captain of one of our golf courses here in Largs so no problem for a round here too......do you think my sales pitch stands a chance of working folks ?????????? ROFL    Oh, I forgot, I make a wonderful mushroom omelette !!!!!!!!! Literally ROFL.

Just found this one of MB Round Two at Pebble Beach!!!  So serious!!LOL

Robin in MD :)

Thanks for finding this picture Robin and doesn't he just look serious......do you think his caddy has just given him into trouble for going into the rough or for not getting out of in one go for he is certainly explaining something to him !!! LOL.   The scenery at the back does look a little like that on the 16th where he had to kind of dig himself out by the looks of that other picture !! LOL.

Thanks again for finding this one !! :)

To close this thread for this year I must let you know that Phil Mickelson won the trophy at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am by scoring a 269 over the necessary four rounds of golf.    In the Pro-Am Tournament Harman/Ontiveros and Harrington/McManus tied for first place coming in with scores of 251 four the four rounds.

Want to wish all the golfers that took part happy, safe and satisfying rounds of golf for the rest of the year until, God willing, we all meet again in 2013 !! :)
