Unfortunately this very sad news has just been published.....let's all say a little prayer ........

"London’s Central Hall in Westminster saw the world premiere of a new symphonic work, ‘The Titanic Requiem’ tonight (April 10). The piece, which features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, was written to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the famous ship on April 15, 1912. However, one of the composers of the piece, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, was unable to attend due to his deteriorating health.

The 62-year old singer, who wrote the piece with his son Robin-John, was hospitalized on March 25 due to an twisted bowel and has remained in the private clinic since. Gibb and his twin brother Maurice, were born with the intestinal issue known as volvulus. Maurice passed away in 2003 from complications resulting from the condition.

On Sunday (April 8), it was reported that Barry Gibb flew from his home in Tennessee to London to be at his brother’s side. Barry’s son Stephen also flew from Miami. British tabloids are quoting an unnamed family friend, who says that Robin has possibly contracted pneumonia and that his condition is getting worse.

This sad news comes a little more than a month after Gibb announced that he was in remission from liver cancer. Gibb was diagnosed with the disease in the fall of 2011."

Thanks you 2. You both are the best. Thanks for the updates. I pray he perseveres. Sylvie has been with me through all that went on with Maurice, Robin's brother. So, yeah! It's tough. JMO though. I feel Mo's death was Mal practive but that's JMO, no proof but I know I'm not alone in this. I'm so sorry Robin missed the show last night that he was suppose to participate in. he would have been there. He wrote a song for the CD about the Titanic. Boltonnut from L. A. CA USA :( feeling sad right now.

I'll definitely keep him in my prayer's...The Bee Gee's & me go way back. I grew up listening to there Music...along with everyone else, even our Michael!

One of my favs. is "To Love Somebody"....along with each & everyone of there other songs! Hopefully he will bounce back! This is sad news, but Thanks for telling Us about it Sylvia! Please keep Us posted!

Mary (Meg's mom)!

Thanks Mary. Yes ma'm. I remember the Bee Gees in May 1967. Fortunately, I've met them & Andy. From 1985-1992, I'd go to their studeo & participate in their charity events so I've met them many times. I still cry about Mo'S death. You guys are the best. I'll still neverforget in 2003 October 19, Michael was getting ready to do "To Love Somebody." I was there in Bethlehem PA&I said, "Michael?' He said, "Yes." I said, "Could you dedicate "To Love Somebody" to Maurice Gibb who died this year?" & he granted me my request. there were a few seconds of silence & you talk about tears? Yes. I cried. Mo (Morris) correctly Maurice was my favorite of the Bee Gees so, thanks. Boltonnut from L. A. CA Michael knows what's right doing TLS.

Thanks for sharing that information about your show in 2003 Robin and all can you really say about Michael is; "typical" of the man "with the heart in the right place !"

As you say Mary so many of us grew up surrounded by the Bee Gees and their music and I must admit although not a huge fan I was a fan and would always stop and listen to and watch them on TV and I loved and still love Barry and I listen quite often to the "Guilty" album he did with Barbra Streisand as that for me is still a knock-out as is "Guilty Too" !!   I believe too that was why and how I fell in love with little DeAndre on AI and the very first time I heard him, my thought was that, if only Barry Gibb could get a hold of him and be his mentor that boy could go far.   Also of course had a soft spot for Maurice especially when he and Lulu married but unfortunately our thoughts are with Robin right now and as we all know, not for any happy reason but maybe we can adapt the old adage and hope it is ringing true that:  "no news, is good news !"....let's hold on to that !!

Unfortunately below article appears in the New York Post today, Saturday, 14th April.....there are no words; just thoughts and memories !!!!"

"LONDON -- Bee Gees pop legend Robin Gibb was in a coma Saturday amid fears he  has only days to live, with the 62-year-old star's family keeping a bedside  vigil.

Gibb has been battling colon and liver cancer and now has pneumonia. Family  and fans of the Bee Gee were praying for his survival late Friday.

The singer, whose many hits include "How Deep Is Your Love," recently  appeared to have made a miracle recovery. But doctors now believe a secondary  tumor is present -- and he has developed pneumonia.

Gibb's wife Dwina, brother Barry, 65, daughter Melissa, 37, and sons Spencer,  39, and Robin-John, 29, were at his bedside in a private hospital in Chelsea,  West London.

A family friend said, "Our prayers are with Robin. He has kept so positive  and always believed he could beat this."

"Sadly, it looks like he has developed pneumonia, which is very bad in his  situation. If there is anyone you would put money on pulling through such a dire  situation, it would be Robin because he is a fighter. But this is a battle he  will struggle to win," the friend added.

Gibb's health problems began in October 2010, when he had emergency surgery  to treat a blocked bowel. He then had further surgery to treat a twisted bowel  -- the condition that killed his twin brother Maurice nine years ago at the age  of 53.

Colon cancer was diagnosed and it spread to his liver.

As he battled to recover, the star launched into composing a requiem for the  Titanic, the doomed ship for which he has had a lifelong fascination.

The music, co-written with his son Robin-John, premiered in central London on  Thursday. Sadly, Robin was too ill to attend."
