Hi, I would really love to hear from some Canadian fans who seen MB in concert.  We have a few from Halifax, and on the old forum we had one from Quebec, but I would love to hear how things went in Ottawa and the western part of the country!!  Please post a review of your concert!!
Thanks,
Bev

Hi Sylvie!!!

Thank you for the information!  I don't know if I get that channel because I don't have digital cable, but I will check my tv guide and see if it might be airing on some of the other channels.

I haven't been on here in awhile, but I have it set so message come to my regular e-mail address.  I follow MB's facebook page a lot now.  I still like to check back on the site occasionally, just never seems to be enough hours in the day to get much time on the computer.

How are things with you?  I hope you are not near the floods in Quebec.  Have you ordered the new cd "GEMS".  I pre-ordered mine and can't wait till it arrives!!

Hope you are doing well and it was great to hear from you!  Take care Sylvie : )

Bev

Hey Bev, I’m glad you got the message sweetie! I didn’t know how many people it would reach, but it made my day so thought I’d share. :D I think probably a lot of people follow Michael on Facebook now, especially since Michael posts there first. I’m not on it myself, I have enough trouble keeping up with this site!Tell me  about not having enough hours in a day… No, I’m not anywhere near the floods, but these poor people have had it rough and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping unfortunately. I’ve just heard on the news that thousands of volunteers have signed up to help with the clean up, whenever the water starts receding, because apparently, the army isn’t enough. My heart goes out to them. Oh I’m doing well Beverly, I’m just dealing with my girls moving away, but thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you too! Oh yes, my bundle has been ordered and I’m anxious to get it. Girl, have you heard the live South American performances of “Over the rainbow”, “Love is everything” and “Pride in the name of love”, along with “I’m not ready” on Youtube? Now that’s something you might not have seen on Facebook! The performances are all fabulous, of course! :D Good luck at finding the concert being played in your area! Thanks for your response sweetie, it was great hearing from you, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Qc Canada

Hi Canadian fans and especially Quebec fans. I just became aware that Musimax will be playing the Royal Albert Hall concert tonight at 8:00 EST. Those who have it know that when such shows play once, they repeat over the weekend and since that doesn't happen often, let's rejoice! lol I know I'll be watching and don't care that I have it on DVD... :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Qc Canada

Well of course, I was right and Musimax did replay the RAH concert again today, I've just finished watching it again. Of course, I was thrilled to hear it again for the second time this weekend, but found myself, just about at the halfway mark, starting to feel a little sad that Michael's visits to our province are so few and far-between that we have to resort to re-running recorded concerts... :D I know I'm just another little voice in the darkcalling and begging Michael on their knees for him to come back, but just felt like expressing it right now. And yes, my voice is on its knees... ;D I do hope and wish with all my heart that he'll be back when the new CD drops, or the autobiography is released or any old time, for no special reason... No New Year's day to celebrate... no chocolate candy hearts to give away... but I'm getting away with myself... Thanks for indulging me... :D sincerely, Sylvie from Quebec Canada :D

Hi all, about the “Q” show on CBC Radio 1, it’s aired live throughout Canada on the radio at 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.. I don’t know if the night show is a rerun of the morning show or vice-versa. There is a link on the “Q” page:

http://www.cbc.ca/q/

to listen live and also a link to listen to the latest show. Everyone should be aware

that I have no clue how long the latest show stays there, or whether it can be heard outside Canada. You have until Friday to find out so good luck to all! Sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Hi everyone, I’m here to report on Michael’s first interview in Canada, “The Morning Show” on Global TV. Well first, let me say that the interviewer seemed very comfortable and respectful of Michael. I wish interviewers would get their facts straight though when they say: “and now author...”, as if this was his first book. The interviewer mentioned the book, CD and “Jack Sparrow”, but they didn’t talk about the CD. However, they did play 3 excerpts: “You keep me hanging on”, “Ain’t no mountain high enough” and “Gotta keep dreaming” and the entire interview was sprinkled with video/audio clips in the background of career-spanning songs. . They talked about the contents of the book and you could tell she’d read it. There was no mention of the hazy 60’s,but Michael did talk about a phrase that struck the interviewer from the book. That would be the one where Michael mentions how much bigger his life has become, much bigger than he would have ever imagined and he said that this was an understatement. So he talked about the bigger than life events like meeting Ray, Pavarotti, Stevie Wonder and all the great songwriters he’s worked with, Zelma Redding’s statement about his version of DOTB and then they talked a bit about Nicolette. Apparently, a friend of his who lives in upstate NY, after reading his book, is now inhibited about trying to match him up, thinking she can’t compete with the memory of Nicolette. I thought that was interesting. I thought it was a very nice, somewhat different interview and enjoyed it very much. I wish they would have plugged the CD more actively, but I guess playing the 3 excerpts was pretty good and no mention about the hair! Lol That’s it for now guys. I’m checking “ET Canada this afternoon, though it might be a rerun preview from last Friday so I’ll keep you posted. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Hi Sylvie, thanks for keeping us updated! From your report I'd say it was a pleasant experience for MB, his host and audience too. How long was the interview (just out of curiosity)?

Thanks again, big hug, Astrid

Hallo Astrid, yes, it sounded pretty cool and Michael even slipped in a little funny, saying that when he stood next to Pavarotti, Pavarotti was asking for directions! Lol Incidentally, “Nowhere to hide” was the first clip from the CD they put on, not that i’ts important. I’d say the interview was about 10 minutes or so. I don’t think I’ve ever watched that show before, but I really liked the interviewer. For the record, I watched “ET Canada” both this afternoon and tonight and I suspect this afternoon’s show was a repeat from last Friday. That clip only lasted about a minute and Michael talked about the fact that it was hard to revisit some tough times as he was writing his book. OMG Astrid, have you read it yet? Sweetie, you simply have to get the audio version! I’m pretty busy this week but hope to re-read it soon and would love to discuss some parts with you... :D No problem for the report by the way: it’s not often that I can contribute. :D Take care sweetie and hope you’re feeling better this week. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Hi everyone, thanks to Nic who was sweet enough to find these and put them on the “New videos on YouTube” thread, here are 2 interviews done  on Monday in Toronto. First, the Noon News:

The only thing is that on this one, Michael is about 7 minutes in, since it’s the whole show, but it’s definitely worth it! Everyone enjoy! Take care and hugs to all and thanks again Nic, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
