I'm starting this thread so our thoughts as we all start to read Michael's new book don't get all jumbled up with the promotions for the book or CD or regular info and we know where to come.  So when you read the book and want to make comments on what you thought...post them here.  Thanks, Gail

Oh Joy,

Your Dad is soooo right about that...tell him you are not alone!  But we keep our clothes on...LMBO:)!

Have lots of Fun at the show...and wait for him to look at you, then hold up your Sharpie & Book...do it, I dare you...I double dog dare you:)! LOL!

Mary (M&M's)!

Hey Debbie, In my opinion Michael could sing the phone-book and I would love it! It's the Voice! And "Tracks of my tears" is one of my all time favs.  You have your opinion and  that's ok...but "Pitino" rules here in Lou. Ky .....LMBO:)!

Mary (meg's mom)!

LOL l meggy, I  use to be the biggest Pitino fan, but learned he had a big "potty mouth", not to mention a womanizer.  He fell from my graces.

LOL ok folks   ,, I ONLY said that MB singing Motown wasn't my FAVORITE,,,LMAO

I agree with Sylvia but I was very uncomfortable with the hostesses.  She seemed to "cut short" every answer Michael had.  I know they had a time limit but it seemed rude at times.  I also think that Michael feeds off of his audience.  This audience was probably told how to behave.  I also noticed that Michael had to "cover" for some of the other performers that did not seem to know their parts.  I am ready for a concert where he is in control.  Cannot wait to hear him sing these songs.  Ordered the CD for me and my friends.  Also will travel as far as my car can go to hear him sing them live.  Oh and Michael was not the first to go on DWTS.  Second but not the first.  I voted to keep him on but to no avail.

Alison

Allison, perhaps your take on the TV concert is what I was picking up on.  It seemed discomboulated (no fault of MB) . I had recently seen MB in concert and he just seemed more comfortable. Its always a thrill to see MB , just was not my favorite.  Allison, what do you mean about MB being the second on DWTS?   Second what?  Allison, I LOOOOVVVVEEE MB, but he cannot dance !!!!!  I still choose to believe he dance SO bad because he needed to be voted off soon to get on with his concert tour.  Someone with that much musical talent has to have RHYTHM !!!  It appears MB is a class A personaility  he problem needed drugs to relax (in younger days).

Hi Debbie, well first, Michael was voted off the second week of DWTS because David Hasselhoff was voted off the first week. Michael agreed to do DWTS and he was looking forward to go far in the competition, especially with the amount of work he was putting in. As for his level of comfort, only he could answer that, but think about it a little: he had time constrictions, he was not in charge of the show and with all the emotions he must have been going through with these legends and oodles of friends there to support him, that would be a lot for the average bear! lol Now I'm no psychologist  as far as his personality goes, but Michael has mentionned once or twice that he was an introvert as a child, which completely floored me the first time I heard it, but it was the 60's, the "Woodstock generation" so guess he just hopped on the love train like everyone else... :D Thanks for sharing Debbie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Hi Debbie, OMG,  sweetie, as Sylvia said, I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one. I’m blind so I can’t see how comfortable Michael is but he sure sounded more than fine to me! I did “watch” DWTS and yes, I’ve heard “Hallelujah” and it was simply magical: he sang it in a higher key than on “Gems” and the choir was awesome! Girl,  as you may or may not know, “Hallelujah” was written by the Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen and I really don’t care for his... attempt at singing and I always thought, that if anyone could breathe life into a Cohen song, it would be Michael and he sure did! Man, I can not wait until I get my book, because I’m wondering about how much I don’t know... XD I should get my audio book by Wednesday and I’m sure it’ll be done before the weekend! Take care Debbie and thanks for sharing. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

P.S.: Deb, I've sent you a friend request.

Hi Sylvie and Debbie,

LOL Sylvie, L. Cohen rather "recites and acts" his songs which might have a deep impression if you don't expect him to win a Grammy for best male vocalist! LOL.

I remember vividly "the Hallelujah-times", esp. MB's version in Düsseldorf 12/7/2010, when I stood in front of the stage ... Memories I'll take with me when I leave this world. All the best from Germany, Astrid

Hallo Astrid, well more power to art lovers who can appreciate L Cohen's reciting, but I personally can't get past the voice. Again, to each his own. Take care sweetie and hope you're feeling better. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Ok,,,I see I am going to have to finish reading THE BOOK to add a little controversy here.  Surely someone has something to say about the book other then its great.

I won't be getting my copy until "Mother's Day"...so whenyou all really start talking alot about his book...I'll duck out of this conversation! I have waited for many moons to read a book of his like this! I;m finished with my 2nd trilogy book! So now I will start on the 3rd!

Have a Great Day Everyone:)!

Mary (Meg's mom)!
