Hi everyone, well this is my first attempt at starting a discussion so hope I’m doing this right... :D . A couple of weeks ago, I asked Gail when she thought would be a proper time to start thinking of what we fans want to do for our Michael’s 60th birthday. She said she was out of ideas, but suggested I’d start a thread asking fans for suggestions. I figure we have exactly 4 months, starting today,  to come up with something fun and get mobilised to achieve it. I’m no organizer, I just thought we could share ideas so let’s put our heads together and see what we can come up with! :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada J

*The 2 most popular suggestions so far are:

- individual donations to michaelboltoncharities.com, mentionning they are made in honor of Michael’s birthday, of any amount you feel comfortable with.

-a collective wall-hanging made from personalized fabric squares sent by fans that will be stitched together. The 4 inch/10 cm squares (with small blank margin) only need have your signature and location but can be crafty as you are able. For

more info, ask here, or PM either me, or Amie Angeli who will be doing the stitching and presenting the finished product to our Michael.

**Note: The final deadline for recieving fabric squares is February 15th, so you don't have much time left. :D

**It would also mean a lot to Michael if fans donate to the Red Cross for victims of hurricane Sandy at:

www.redcross.org/

then E-mail Gail at boltoninfo@aol.com with your name and location, so she can add  them to the MBC donors list.

**If you feel strongly about sending Michael a card or personal gift, you may send it to:

Michael Bolton

c/o Michael Bolton Charities

P.O. Box 936

Branford, CT 06405

U.S.A.

*Note that the deadline for recieving cards and presents is February 20th 2013, whether you send them to either Gail or Michael Bolton Charities.

Silvy

Thanks Sylvia for the description of the cake. Yum. I want some. :)))))))

Tami, I think we've met in PA back in 20003, @ the one in Bloomsburg or somewhere. I know we've met. :)))))))))

Tami, the cake was great, a special touch to a special day!  Just one thought, Michael should have let us have a nibble when he had his "Meet and Greet" after the show.  You know the "cake" , yeh  the "cake"!!!  (lol!)  Seriously, a Big Thanks to everyone who made this a great day and so much fun to be a part of!  Michael seemed to be having a great time also, which made a great time for all, for those luck enough to be there in York, and those who were there in spirit!  Thanks for letting me be part of the fun!!!

Was fun meeting you there Missy!!! We did have fun...yeah where was our pieces of cake?? LOL Just kidding.

OK, let's give this a shot!

I haven't processed any of them to make sure they are straight or anything, so let's see if they come out all right here.

Tami's cake was beautiful & great photos of it, too!

Hey Arnie,

Really great work on this!!!!!  Thank you so much for doing this for us!!!!!  I am sure that you are happy that it is done and delivered.  I felt the same way about the cake.  I worried about it for weeks!!!!  Now that it is delivered, I think that all the nightmares and loss of sleep were well worth the look on his face and his VERY sweet words of appreciation!!!!!!!!

  Anyway, thanks again.

Tami

Loved that cake, Tami.  It looked great & your photos turned out well, too.  Thanks for doing that for him.  Turned out to be worth the sleepless nights!

My photos, working with a massive "thing-y" which took up most of the dining room, didn't turn out too great.  Couldn't back up far enough to get it all in, nowhere to hang it, and no way get above it (my friend would shoot me if I knocked down the crystal chandelier, but who wouldn't?).  So I hope people can get a glimpse of their squares and how they worked in.  It's 7-1/2 feet long.  The top has 3-inches to insert a dowel or curtain rod to hang it.

The top photo is part of "the plaque on the back."

So I hope everybody thinks it turned out ok, even though it was not exactly what I envisioned when I first suggested the wallhanging.  I think MB will love it because so many contributed.

Cheers, Amie
