Hi everyone, well this is my first attempt at starting a discussion so hope I’m doing this right... :D . A couple of weeks ago, I asked Gail when she thought would be a proper time to start thinking of what we fans want to do for our Michael’s 60th birthday. She said she was out of ideas, but suggested I’d start a thread asking fans for suggestions. I figure we have exactly 4 months, starting today,  to come up with something fun and get mobilised to achieve it. I’m no organizer, I just thought we could share ideas so let’s put our heads together and see what we can come up with! :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada J

*The 2 most popular suggestions so far are:

- individual donations to michaelboltoncharities.com, mentionning they are made in honor of Michael’s birthday, of any amount you feel comfortable with.

-a collective wall-hanging made from personalized fabric squares sent by fans that will be stitched together. The 4 inch/10 cm squares (with small blank margin) only need have your signature and location but can be crafty as you are able. For

more info, ask here, or PM either me, or Amie Angeli who will be doing the stitching and presenting the finished product to our Michael.

**Note: The final deadline for recieving fabric squares is February 15th, so you don't have much time left. :D

**It would also mean a lot to Michael if fans donate to the Red Cross for victims of hurricane Sandy at:

www.redcross.org/

then E-mail Gail at boltoninfo@aol.com with your name and location, so she can add  them to the MBC donors list.

**If you feel strongly about sending Michael a card or personal gift, you may send it to:

Michael Bolton

c/o Michael Bolton Charities

P.O. Box 936

Branford, CT 06405

U.S.A.

*Note that the deadline for recieving cards and presents is February 20th 2013, whether you send them to either Gail or Michael Bolton Charities.

Amie, if I didn't say thanks for doing all that you did before, I'm saying it now. I'd rather say it twice than not @ all. I'm sure it is beautiful. Everyone's hands went into integrate work. Awesome. Michael will see that hard work was put into it&thanks for your extra work sewing it&taking it.

Hi all!  I see the far left side of the wallhanging is kinda hard to see when shooting from the far right side of the dining table.  I had no room to stand at that left end of the dining table to shoot very well.  But the ones which are hardest to see include the Pink Ladies' photo transfer of their German Bolton Fans website, first one on the left in the top row, just left of the "Hole in One" panel.  And Wee Sylvia's purple thistles are right below the German screenshot and first of the series on the felts, "Hole in One," etc. I just hope the photos are enough to see all the squares got in there!

Maybe MB will hang it up & get a good shot of where he hangs it??!

I missed posting the shot of it all wrapped up - the paper was starbursts on a turquoise background with silver and gold "starburst effect" bows.  Yes, it was kinda big, and I could only get it into the storage bin to haul it over by inserting it at an angle!  But it all got there ok.

I'm glad everybody likes it ok, even though it did not come out quite as I envisioned it to begin with.  It was fun figuring out how to put it all together.  I like "making things" even if I'm no great seamstress.  Thanks to everyone for all your kind words!  You've all made my week & month worthwhile!

Cheers, Amie

Amie, just saw the photos of the wall hanging, great job...You put a lot of work into it. Thanks for the hard work and trying to figure out how to put all the different size squares together!!  I did see mine on there Yeah!!  Anyway, a big THANK YOU!!!!

Kerie

Hi Amie, thank you so much for your work and the pics. It was so much fun to be part of this world-wide-project. I could see the squares I sent to you, so all is well. As far as I am concerned I quite often experienced, that materializing a vision requires some adaptions to reality LOL. I hope you are now able to relax, enjoy and be proud of yourself.

All the best from Germany, Astrid

Thanks Amie for saying about the ones at the side for I copied the picture and then zoomed in and saw them quite clearly;  just me old eyes don't like looking round corners and I was looking at original at wrong angle or at least not straight on to that side.....thanks again Amie  !!! :)
