Miscellany but exceptionally relevant information about, or from Michael on, MB.

Thought I would start this thread for there does appear, at times, to be different relevant articles, tweets, retweets, pictures etc relating to Michael but not really fitting into an already recognized thread nor, each of them individually, being able to be grouped together where a relevant thread could be started and so decided on this "Miscellany" thread.   

I hope you agree with its relevance and that you enjoy everything that is put in as well as hoping that many will find interesting tidbits about Michael that can be included and help to make this, whilst a serious sharing of information, a FUN page to be able to visit too and, as is my intention, somewhere that everything which does not have a particular "home" can be placed, so that is all grouped together and can be easily found and located if someone wants to look at.

Here now, so that we can all focus on the main reason for this thread, is a beautiful picture of the "Theme" of the thread.......wonder if MB has ever been called that before ???? LOL. 

 

 

Believe this one definitely belongs in here for I would say sharing with us that coconut sorbet is his favourite dessert is both miscellaneous and more than extremely relevant to the "THEME" of this website and in particular, to this thread  !! LOL.

What a nice article on Drew and the band in general.  Didn't know Drew grew up in Westport.  Love how he mentions about fans crying and freaking out in other countries! I have always told other people about this, that MB is still around and more famous in other countries than the US. Of course some of us here still do cry & freak out don't we???!!!! I just love the comments at the end of the article from Drew's Mom and locals! So sweet....

Below is link into some lovely photos of Chengdu which is hosting the Fortune Global Forum from 6th to 8th June for about 600 industrialists intent on advancing China's reputation in the business and commercial markets throughout the world and which will culminate in the Fortune Night - Grammy Award Winning Superstars Concert  when nine Grammy winners, including Michael, will take part in the concert on 8th June.

Article with a little bit more information about the concert tomorrow in Chengdu, China at which Michael is performing as the Global Fortune Forum draws to a close and by headline contained in webpage it looks as though it is a sell out and it is reported that things are changing in China with regard to concerts and audiences because Metalica tickets went on sale at 10.00 a.m. this morning and by 10.06 a.m. they were sold out....unknown in China !!  Concert is being held in the Chengdu Gynmasium.

Are you sad you missed out on Michael Bolton the last time he played in Shanghai? Too young to see Shawn Colvin at Lilith Fair? Here’s your chance to see nine Grammy winners in concert, at the Night of Fortune Grammy Superstars Concert in Chengdu. Supposedly the closing party for the 2013 Fortune Global Forum, the lineup includes Leo Sayer, Jody Watley, Shawn Colvin, Richard Marx, Yolanda Adams, Patti Austin, Diane Schuur, and Michael Bolton. We’re not exactly sure what these stars have in common with the confirmed conference attendees, which read like a Who’s Who of international and Chinese companies, SOEs, and media.

The Grammy winners will be joined by Chinese stars including pianist Lang Lang, Cantopop singers Nicholas Tse and Joey Yung, and PLA-approved songstresses Song Zuying and Tan Jing. Prices range in price from 186 RMB all the way to a staggering 7320 RMB for VVIP tickets which includes some quality hangout time with Michael Bolton, Yolanda Adams and Jody Watley.

The Global Forum takes place from June 6-8 in Chengdu. The closing party is June 8 at Chengdu Gymnasium. Damai has tickets … if you’re so inclined.

Thanks a million for that Katia and it looks as though he did it in the elevator where he took the picture of himself and sent it on Twitter.  Probably wary of doing anywhere else just in case frowned upon for as he said leaving China quickly and they maybe flew straight out after concert.  I found out further information and it wasn't as I thought "venues" that had links for guests to Twitter and FB it was only the ONE hotel that was linked up.

Voices in Brescia for, and with, Michael Bolton. Three artists of the team (as well Brescia) Gne Records, two of which originating in the Lioness - Elodea and Vanessa Kirsty, who will add Mattia Del Conte (of the duo Antigua) - it will open the three dates of the Italian American singer-songwriter. With a duet that will interpret Elodea "When a man loves a woman 'side of Bolton.

Michael will be performing in our country, 25, 28 and 29 July, respectively, at the ancient theater of Taormina amphitheater in Molfetta and Castel Sant 'Elmo in Naples. Each of the three Brescia sing six songs in 'shoulders' of the live big. In particular, Vanessa Kirsty, 23 year old Gardone Valtrompia - winner of the Critics Award for Best Actor at the Italian Music Festival in New York - will present six of the songs that would make up his record, primarily the recent single 'Rockstar', which has followed that debut, "light years away."

Elodea evoke his achievements, including the latest single "About myself" and "Just for Fun" (with whom he had attended last year at Sanremo Social, ranking among the five finalists but narrowly missing the admission Ariston). The exhibition alongside Bolton underpin a process that started in 2007, when Elodea had accompanied the American star as a chorister in the concert in Piazza Duomo in Milan with the Symphony Orchestra of Rome. "Bolton remembers her - Prandelli confirmed by Giancarlo, the owner of the label Gne - and enthusiastically welcomed the idea to have her side on stage for a duet."

Mattia Del Conte, finally, propose imminent release of the single "Party," plus a series of unpublished soon placed in an album that also boasts featuring "a certain level, but - said Prandelli - is soon to announce."
