Hello everybody.   I'm a newbie to this forum, but not to being a huge fan of Michael.  I've been a fan for 19 years now :)  I love his origional pieces, but he is so darn good at covering the classics too.   I wish I could put a bug in his ear and have him record two of my favorite songs.  "Song to the Siren" by Tim Buckley, and " I Don't Need No Doctor" by Ray Charles.  That one would fit beautifully on his blues album waiting in the wings.  :)   Do any of you have a wish list for him to cover?       Payten

Hey Ozlem, I had no idea who Paul Weller was and looked him up on Youtube: you’re right, that’s a great song! And he doesn’t have a bad voice either!
Paul Weller, you do something to me

When you said the title “you do something to me”, the only song that came to mind is a really old song I know by Mario Lanza, but probably a lot of other people have covered.

I think Michael would do an excellent job at both… and pretty much anything else. Thanks for sharing Oz, I enjoyed it, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
You do something to me by mario Lanza, (pardon spelling) is much better by him than Paul Weller. Paul Weller's ok. Michael probably would do it better than Paul Weller. Just my opinion though. :)

HI Sylvie, both songs are very different but both great and I agree that MB would do an excellent job with both!

Hi all, I was listening to a compilation CD I just put together recently and thought I should add another song I think would sound fantastic by Michael. It’s called “How do you keep the music playing” and I have it by both James Ingram

And Tony Bennett:

I just love both versions, it’s a great song! Take care all. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
didn't care for the Tony Bennett song&the one by James Ingram's ok. I still would love Michael to do any song by Paul Carrack&If I could turn back the hands of time by R. Kelly. pardon if it's an incorrect title&I don't know how to show the song but it's a tear jerker.

I know Michael's writing ability is awesome but he can also recover the song Love songs on the radio by James Ingram&Michael McDonald. Love that song. Have Michael McDonald back him up with the multiple tracks of his voice but better yet, Michael Bolton do the melody&the multi tracking with his voice like he does on I Wanna Love you With my Eyes close. Now, I can get in to serious harmonizing.

Hi Caroline, Michael certainly has recorded "El dia que me quieras", I have it on CD! I agree with some of your choices: I would just love to hear Michael sing "You are so beautiful to me"! The Raul DiBlasio CD is called "Di Blasio gardel tango" and I'm sure it's fairly easy to find on-line, good luck! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Christine, those are interesting choices, I love those 3 songs! Who would he sing “I finally found someone” with though? As far as Bryan Adams songs go though, I’d love to hear what Michael would do with “Have you ever really loved a woman”…

The music is great and the lyrics would really be up Michael’s alley, I think… Plus it sounds to me like it would settle nicely in his voice. Well anyway, thanks for sharing Christine, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi again Christine, wow, does Belinda Carlisle still sing? I used to like her with the Go-Go’s and some of her solo hits, but I haven’t heard from her in ages, have you? I thought of someone: how about Corinne Bailey Rae? Michael mentioned in one or 2 interviews that he’d love to sing with her and I think she has a great voice with a lot of soul. In case you don’t know her, listen to this:

I just love that song!  Oh I know what you mean: I love to sing but only sing at home, to my kids who sometimes get tired of hearing me! Lol I agree that Michael and Bryan should have sung together. Bryan Adams is one of the very few Canadian artists I actually buy music by. Oh cool you might be coming this way! I’m from the province of Quebec. Christine, if you want to know where someone is from, click on their name and it says where they’re from, close to the top of their page. Well, hope you have a nice vacation when you do visit these parts. Nice talking with you Christine, thanks for sharing. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Qc Canada

Hi,

Being a former metalhead (finally gave up metal in 2008), A song like "Still Loving You" would be very interesting to hear how Michael would interpret that.

Audrey

Hi Audrey, do you think Michael would want to sing it though?  As much as I love the song, I don't know if Michael would consider it... BTW, you were a metal head? :D I thought you liked jazz...  Not that you can't like both, I guess. Is there anything else you'd enjoy if Michael covered it? Just curious. Thanks for sharing Audrey, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
