I FIND IT TO MY AMAZEMENT HOW EASY IT HAS BEEN FOR A LOT OF YOU TO HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH MB, PERSONAL PHOTOS, BACK STAGE PASSES AND PERSONALIZE AUTOGRAPHS. THOUGH IM VERY HAPPY TO HAVE NOW LEARNED HOW SOME OF YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THESE OPPORTUNITY, I WONDER HOW THIS IS ALL SO POSSIBLE. SO GIVE IT UP? I HEARD A LOT OF IT IS ABOUT BEING AT THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME. IM GOING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN JAN FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND IF ANYONE READ HOW I GOT MY TICKETS THEY WOULD KNOW EXACTLY HOW EXCITED I AM. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOU PERSONAL STORIES LIKE SOME I HAVE ALREADY READ. I HEARD HOW KIND HE WAS WHEN YOU MET HIM. WHAT IT WAS LIKE FOR YOU. I HEARD SOME OF YOU SAY HOW DOWN TO EARTH HE WAS, FLOWER SENT FROM HIM. WHEN YOU SHARES THESE I FEEL LIKE IM THERE AS WELL. ESPECIALLY THE PHOTO'S I LOVE SO VERY MUCH.

THANKS,

TINA

Hi Tina,
I loved reading everyone's stoy here. It's amazing how different everyone's encounters with Michael are, yet we all share the same feeling about him and his music.
I first saw Michael in Feb 92, had my friend drove us 6 hours for his concert. Oprah was a surprise guest, she was filming part of his concert for her Special that year. Are seats were nosebleed sections but being in that room you felt like he was signing just to you. After the concert we waited till 1am just to get a glimps and we did! In a far distance he walked onto his bus and waved to us. That was it I was in LOVE, I joined his fan club and listen to his tapes everwhere I went!! Drove one of my boyfriends crazy because everytime he heard a Michael Bolton song he thought of me, and that put a smile on his face, at least that's what he told me. lol.
The 2nd time I saw him I had won tickets on a radio show. He was preforming at SeaWorld and Celine Dion was opening. I drove up 4 hours for that one. It was an outdoor venue and packed, but I waited about 6 hours in my spot until the show. I was a lot closer this time, got some far distance pictures and a sunburn, but that didn't matter. I saw Michael!!!
In 94 I moved to Vegas and saw him at huge venue then again at a baseball charity game, that one I video taped.
In 2002, the picture here, is where he came to my hometown. This was a very small venue. I waited afterwards and got to see him enter his limo, I couldn't believe how close I was to him. I felt so happy I finally got to see him up close!!!
On Aug 30th this year however was the turning point. I actually got to meet him!!! The day of the concert the local radio station were giving away meet and greet tickets/passes. I tried to win but didn't, but determined to see MB I called the DJ up and BEGGED for a pass. I told him I had a ticket all I needed was the pass, I also mentioned MB history, eventually he gave me the pass. On the "Tours forum" I mentioned by spectacular evening with Michael Bolton. I will always treasure the memory MB gave me. I wonder if he knows how incrediable he makes us feel just giving us a little of his time. One guest told him God gave you a gift and I'm glad your sharing it with us. I do hope you get the chance to meet him. Good Luck
Sylvia from Texas
P.S.At this show some fans were waiting to meet him and some lady was handing out passes, I got mine from the DJ who was there, but if you hang around the area you might get lucky. Also an "ex-rodie" I recently met told me the best way to meet the "band" was just to wait, wait, wait. Of course you have to been in the right area, so if you have time stay awhile and see what happens. Will keep my fingers crossed.
Wow Sylvia, loved your story! I remember during the OAWLY tour, Michael did a lot of interviews and he said he’d heard, well most likely read in the “Bolton on-line updates” at the time, that people rearrange their lives around his concerts and I think he probably had but a small inkling of all it involved for all of us devoted fans… Just for a chance to have a more direct contact with someone who gives us so much joy… Thank you so much for sharing Sylvia! Take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Kerie, I hear you girl, You've had a great adventure being a fan. Cool you got the thank-you note!

Dear Eileen,
Michael has taken me with him through his music as well. You're time will come. He is a wonderful person from what everyone has said. I only pray that we too one day too will experience the joy of meeting him or at least seeing him in person. Ive enjoyed him even if its only on youtube and interview and stories from others. I'm going to request you as a friend and I love this site. everyone has been so kind and sweet. take care you.

Tina
I'm glad you mentioned adding people as friends Tina, I always forget to do this. I need to spend some time and check to see if I've added all of you wonderful people as my friends.

I love having a look to see what other people have done to their private pages and see what music plays when you open someone elses page. It never fails to make me jump when it starts playing!!

Love Jennifer XX
Your so right,
I need to work this site a little bit better as well. I'm slowing gaining a few friends here and there. I feel like a family of boltons lol. I need to decorate mine it with music as well and maybe by Jan when I go I can post my very own pictures. I just watched the nashville concert. I felt like I was there it was wonderful...simply wonderful.

Tina
Tina you will... If you are front row you will have pictures to share!! Along with the excitement of seeing MB in person. There is nothing better than watching a live show.. His music is such food for the soul. This past year my husband was ill for a while and going to the show in March was the pick-me-up I really needed. My husband wanted me to go and have fun with my friends and see Michael again too.. It was great and his music just makes me feel so much better when there are things on my mind..

Thanks everyone for sharing here too.
Robin :)
sounds like you have a wonderful husband. I will post my pic's and my storie about my first major adventure in my whole life aside from the birth of my children. Thanks for sharing as well.

I met Michael way back in the late 70's long before he went solo and became a swooning sensation.I knew another side of my dear friend. We corresponded for a few years and lost touch for awhile but he's always remained a friend.Check out FanEmporium, With a membership theirs offers of back stage passes and everything.Atleast thats what they used to offer.
I was a aspiring song writer in the 70's and briefly met mike, and he was still married to then wife Maureen.I have always loved mike and remain his loyal fan and have supported his career.Love the man and his music.Mike I still live in NewBrunswick Canada and would sure love to see you come to Harbour Station in Saint John,NB,Canada.Email me and see whats possible. So happy for you with Taryn expecting the baby soon.Where have all the years gone, they were just little tikes now thier beautiful young women.Great job babe.I have a 14 year old son who is always being compared to Brad Pitt.
I offered to run a fan club for mike here in Canada back in the early 80's,but got no response.Any Canadian fans on here?
Love you michael,,,Your Soul Provider.Nothing beats a live performance of a entertainer.I have met many through the years both personally such as Christopher Lambert,Engelbert Humperdinck and our beloved dear Michael.
Got to love New York City a place where any dreams can come true.I still have all my letters you wrote hun. Will cherish them always.
Hi Pamela, yes there are Canadian fans on here. I left you a message on your profile page a few weeks back but I guess you’re just learning about this forum and haven’t found your profile page yet: click on your name and you'll find it! There’s a thread about Canadian fans also, Beverly Blanchard started it. As far as Fan Emporium, I haven’t heard that mentioned in years! As far as I know, Michael hasn’t had any relation with FE in years and hasn’t had an official fan club since the last one he disassociated himself with, because it wasn’t giving us our money’s worth. Well, lucky you having corresponded with him. Maybe you can add those to an MB museum someday… :D Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Qc Canada
