RUSSEL WATSON

DENNIS LOCCORIERE (DR HOOK) AND ME AFTER THE SHOW

FM AND ME AFTER THE SHOW!!

Hi Markham,  well I can’t say that I’m very familiar with the artists you’ve mentioned, possibly only 3 aside from Michael. Are these mostly AOR artists? Oh, BTW, that’s Russell Watson the tenor?  I’ve heard him once or twice on our PBS channels. For my part, here’s my list:

Van Halen 1981

Daryl Hall & John Oates 1981, 1989, 2005, 2006

Olivia Newton-John 1981, 2005

Michael Bolton 1998, 2002, 2003 (twice), 2004, 2005, 2009, 2015

Marie-Josée Lord (soprano) 2010  2012 2013 2014 2016

I’ve also attended 14 operas, but I won’t list those here... XD Since you’re a big Meatloaf fan, have you seen the “Pavarotti & friends for the children of Bosnea” concert? I think that was probably the best one in the series and luckily, it included Michael too. :D All right, that’s about it, thanks for sharing Markham, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

hi Syvlie, yeah thats Russel The Tenor, really nice guy to talk too... yes have seen the bosnia concert.. it was very good all of it was... Opera I like but I have to be in the mood for it.. because some of it is really heavy going.. I'm partial to Strauss.. my dad The Strauss Family Lp, and he gave his collection of albums to my sister, and as of late I started my vinyl collection again, asked her if she was selling them...  she said no... i mean they are just stuck in her loft doing nothing.... she never plays them.... so finally got a copy of the strauss lp.... among others like that were in my dads collection.... great stuff to hear. anyway better get on... take care. m

Hi again Markham, oh I completely understand about opera: the heavy drama stuff is not for everyone. A few of my friends are more into popera, like you unless I’m mistaken, but that’s okay.  When you say you like Strauss, you mean Richard and not Yohan?  I’m guessing you probably enjoy operettas, because it’s lighter. It’s a shame  about your sister. If you have a USB turntable, maybe you can at least borrow your dad's LP's  and record them, if she insists on keeping them. In any case, good luck with that. Take care Markham and thanks again for sharing. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

the classical strauss blue danube, regards the lp's... no she wont even let me borrow them... my sister I get along with but things like this, lets just but it  this way she's selfish... but the old adage goes "You Can't choose your family" but thats ok, I'm not in arms about it cause I know what my dad had on Lp.. just gotta find all the lp's on discogs. and the stuff that my dad had, that I've got and recorded gave my dad copies on cd.. M

I've seen quite a few people over the years.  The ones I've seen in the last couple of years...

Kurt Elling (saw this year.  He's my 2nd favorite male singer ever)

Chris Standring (I've seen him twice last year and will be seeing him again in May)

Keith Silverman (I saw him last year and will be seeing him this month)

Brian Culbertson (love his shows)

Euge Groove (love his shows also)

Michael Lington (love his shows too).

I've met all of these guys in person.  Wonderful people.  :)
