Welcome everyone to the 2016 Tour Review Thread!   The upcoming year is going to be exciting with many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!!MB has some Canada and USA shows in February and March 2016 and then he heads to the UK in April 2016!!!  This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2016 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Happy Concert Time again in 2016!! Let the year long concert party begin soon!!

I think you should take us all to your Birthday Party next time!!! Although must say you did have an Angel this whole party! Thanks for sharing your fabulous time with us! Know that he enjoyed you too!

Love,

Kellie

Hi Sylvia and thanks for your review. Oh, how sweet about mentioning Drew’s birthday... Glad to hear the show was awesome and thanks so much for asking about the new album.  So cool you were able to go to the stage, I guess the audience really was great! Take good care and stay safe Sylvia, thanks again for sharing. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

It was fab wasn't it Sylvia! Whereabouts were you sitting I noticed someone's flash going off behind me somewhere was it you? It's so annoying they get so narky about cameras Michael always says take loads of pictures ( just make sure you get my good side he says!) but the overzealous camera police are always about, there's one hard faced woman at st davids hall that has a major attitude. I fell foul of her hast time. It's so annoying. I'm a huge fan of photography take a camera everywhere and it's not the same using a phone camera no matter how they are getting better. I would have loved to take a proper camera with a good lens but I know miss nasty would have got me as she told me to put it away before. Made me feel really stupid in front of everyone.

Thanks for another great review Sylvia and congrats on getting your handshakes!! MB will be very busy in May because he also has concerts in northern California AND working on the album!! He never stops!! What round are you on now Sylvia? 5? lol I know you are having one heck of MB road trip!! Enjoy!! Drive safely!!

Kathy and LAFD Bob

i know what you mean st davids are known for it especially the hitler type stern woman. no customer skills at all. have expetienced her at other concerts as well. werent even using camera was putting it back in handbag.

Listen girls I am so sorry I don't believe I have replied to any of your posts ....OMG, talk about playing catch up and I can have it verified because it has become a standing joke....I don't even know what day of the week it is any more !!!! LOL  I'm having such a blast I could be on the moon for all I care !!! LOL

I was actually in the front row and I remembered her too from 2014 but then I never bothered with my camera as I had decided, seeing first show on tour, I was going to sit and just listen to and enjoy.  What annoyed me about her was we know they have their instructions and a job to do but when she came she just pushed her way between me to get to row behind, there wasn't even an excuse me nor sorry after and I had to move to let her in because she was half over the front seats .... still, water under the bridge now !!! lol  At least for my next one, Southend, if I remember correctly everything is okay there.

To answer you Kathy.....I was at Glasgow last night and you were with me (imagine me remembering that ????) and that was fifth, two more to go and hey, surprise, surprise, I've even remembered that was on Friday and that is just because I've seen some where this morning that this is Saturday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Here is a lovely photo from Cardiff last night and it comes courtesy of Sophie Cubbin

BTW forgot to add that last night I got my handshake, or TWO, at stage and a lovely recognition.

Also during Gabrielle's set there suddenly was a lot of cheering and further over, in centre aisle from me, there was a couple up dancing.  Way they were dancing would not have been surprised if it was "their song" she was singing and she acknowledged and thanked them and said: "wow, great to see such love in the house tonight !!!"   It was a lovely moment.

Hi Sylvia

Sounds like tour is just getting better! Gabrielle did tweet afte 1st show wondering where dancing would start, and I gave tweet back sayin Manchester!! So Cardif beat us to it!! So excited for Manchester on Monday. Hopefully see you RAH! X
Julie.

Well, what can I say! Not much to add to what has already been said about last night, however for my 15th MB gig since 1991's TLT World Tour, this was up there with the best! Great performance from our man, clearly back on song after the illness, every note was perfection. My Wife, Jen, was finally won over last night. As a qualified Royal School Of Music teacher, she is a fierce critic of many, however MB delivered an outstanding performance. He just gets better. So pleased with the Steel Bar encore! The Prayer and Make You Feel My Love are just magical!

I actually thought that Sam's vocals were excellent and she more than held her own. Love the medley. Personally, don't think the wardrobe changes detract from the show at all. JP is an outstanding saxophonist as we know and the band are tight! Understand others frustration, but it didn't spoil it for me! Very little in the way of merchandise though! May have to up my pledge to go for the book!!

We had great seats to, four rows from the front to the left, so were perfectly placed for WAMLAW! Did anyone see that woman dancing in front of MB!? He couldn't stop laughing! Lovely venue too.

Thought MB was really relaxed, on good form and the whole place was silent when he was speaking and telling stories! Packed too! I was speaking with some of the crew before the show and they said that all dates are sell outs! Gabrielle was awesome too!

Just a brilliant, brilliant night. Have pics and vids, will upload. Really do believe that a blues album should be forthcoming!!! Sweet Home Chicago and Rock Me Baby are musts, with his voice and guitar playing, it'd be a smash!

Hi James you must have been right by us! We were d 42 and 43 left hand side yeah that woman was thoroughly enjoying herself!

Just coming in to post a link to an article about last night's show and great to see you all in here.....here is the link

Hi again Jan and I was actually in 2nd row, aisle seat, centre right just behind those girls you spoke about in review who MB was joking with. They had a little to drink but at same time they held it well and were really funny. Couldn't believe it when I found seat and realized I was at the aisle because that was one I had upgraded to a M&G when I had a little win on Lottery and with it being 2nd row wondered if I had done right thing and if would stand any chance of getting to stage, stand any chance, think I was one of the first there !!!! LOL  I agree with you that audience did seem a bit, shall we say, conservative at beginning and then wow off they went and just as well too for as I said Bristol was as good, so did MB the power of good to have audiences like that.

Glad you had great time James and pity we didn't meet up.  I looked for you but now realize when you say where you were how I didn't spot you and that girl was a knock out and Michael was having to look away from her to stop laughing and keep singing because at one point he turned toward where I was and his face, he was in hysterics and I don't know how he managed to keep singing.  From where I was I could only see the top half of her and her facial expressions but OMG she was fantastic.  I felt when he got off box he should have gone her way and given her a hug but, then again, he might just have been smothered if he had gone anywhere near her.

I agree with you that Sam is brilliant, I love her and believe he has found the perfect DUET partner.  Who they remind me of is Sonny and Cher but obviously in reverse...LOL  Where Kelly was fantastic I always felt it was two "singers" on stage but with Sam it is a definite duet partnership.  I love the end of "To Make You Feel My Love" where she holds that note to perfection with no warbling or anything else and she lets Michael shine with his ending....how I wish they would record that, how I wish !!! :)

On people saying about too much of other people and not enough of Michael I totally disagree and would say that in fact Michael is on stage more than he was in 2014.  Okay, Jason plays the sax for maybe a couple minutes longer than before and Brian plays the piano a couple of minutes more but when Sam does the medley it is only part of THREE songs.  In 2014, if my memory serves me right, and if I am wrong please correct, but did Kelly and Amanda not BOTH sing medley's containing THREE songs which, if my arithmetic is anything to go by, was twice as long as now.  I feel it is a fantastic show that is put on and I have loved each one and BTW have now arrived in Bournemouth for tomorrow night.  There was quite heavy rain in different parts coming along from Cardiff but it looks as though trying to turn into a nice evening so going to go and get watered and fed and then go for a short evening stroll along the prom.

See you later folks!!! :)

I believe you are right about Kelly and Amanda Brown, they both sang medleys the same show.  I heard them at the Living Arts, here in Mississauga, On Canada, where I live.
