Welcome everyone to the 2017 Tour Review Thread!   The upcoming year is going to be exciting with concerts scheduled already for 2017!!  MB has some USA shows starting off the year in January and more shows through early April so far and I’m sure many more to come around the globe as the year unfolds!  Also exciting for 2017 is the February 10th release of Songs of Cinema and I am betting a few more songs from the CD will make it in the tour setlist!  Woo Hoo!  This is the best time to be a fan with MB’s concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2017 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Let the year long concert party begin and I wish concerts for all of you in 2017!! I know many fans are on other social media sites but I do hope we can continue with the exciting tour reviews here in 2017!  You all make the thread fun.

Happy Concert Time again in 2017!!

I should have come here before but I had a health problem and then the holidays kept me buy. I was at the York and Greensburg concert but Robin took care of those reviews. We also had the M&G that became a sound check performance. Sadly we couldn’t get in town earlier to see it. Michael did comment during the show that we had new shirts and he really liked them.

Our next show was at Red Bank NJ. This one was pretty exciting for us. One of the ladies hadn’t been able to make it to the other shows or Philly. Michael wore his velvet jacket and white shirt. He had his shirt tucked in with a belt, which he doesn’t usually do. Looking quite handsome of course. Here he did the Christmas song before leaving the stage. I think he did Have yourself a Merry, but I can’t swear by that. His oncore was Georgia. After the show, we went to see Ruki because we hadn’t seen her. She told us she had been sick and on the mend. Of course we chatted to Ashley to. As they were clearing the theater, we were told to wait there. The venue kept shuffling us to the lobby and back in the venue. Each person had to go verify that we were told to wait for Michael! We’d wait all night if we had to. We were told he was with a friend and it would be awhile, group shot only because of the time. Next thing we knew, here comes Michael from backstage with his friend, Steve and Ruki. He asked us where we should get the picture then looked around and said get the sears in the background. How about if we sat down, then he sat. Someone from the stage said no, I think it was Steve because he had our camera and Michael jumped up. Lol. When we looked at the stage, everyone had a camera taking pictures. We never did figure out who or why they wanted our picture. So much for telling us it had to be quick. Michael took his time talking with us. I told him we had a request and that we would like to hear Ashley sing. Why couldn’t she sing when they band did their number? He said he’d tell Ashley about the request and that she had a very beautiful voice.

Our last show was in Philly. Doug James told he was going to be there, but I wasn’t sure since it was snowing like crazy. Not much on the ground, but the 40 minute ride took me over 3 hours just because of traffic. This venue was really small. A ballroom that they put chairs in. But the sound was really good. The stage was low. The song arrangement was different at the end. He didn’t do WAMLAW in the audience. When he did the oncore, he did 2 Christmas songs in addition to Georgia. I had my niece with me, she’s always wanted Michael to sign her Hercules doll. Ruki took it back for her. She said Michael was really surprised to see it. I’m sure it was a first. Lol. But Kirsta is thrilled. Jackie was at both shows, she yells “turn around Michael” and it always makes the band laugh. When she was leaving, the band was out in the lobby and they were thrilled to meet “the turn around lady”. I think half the theater was in line to meet Michael. The meet and greet area was behind a curtain off the lobby. That’s how small this place was.

Sally. Thanks for your reviews as well. Awesome about the M&G'S. Cool about the shirts. Hmm. Wonder if he'll wear that velvet jacket in CA? That would be cool.

Thanks for coming in and posting Sally. Sounds like a great time at both despite weather getting to Philly.  I am glad you got to see Doug James again and had Kirsta along! She's gotta be getting so grown up by now!  Time flies! :)  I like the photo of you all and MB. I saw it on FB. I thought I heard your friend asking him for a group pic at the car in Greensburg since one of your friends would only been in Red Bank when we all were taking turns talking to him at the car in Greensburg.  How nice he granted her request for all of you.  MB is the best.  I keep saying it and Ruki and Milo and all of them are awesome! :)

I am glad you ladies had fun at both of your other two shows. Was nice to see you all again at York and Greensburg.   Cool that Kirsta got her doll signed. That's neat.  I am sure she was thrilled.

The lady that says Turn Around Michael is a hoot. I chatted with her in Englewood last year before the show. She is very nice! I know MB gets a kick out of her too!!LOL

Thanks for posting Sally and Happy New Year to you!!

Just to let you all know Gail has started a new Tour thread for 2018.  I have been in touch with her about the change.  I have enjoyed doing them for many years but it's time for someone else to take over. I have a lot still going on with personal life stuff and feel I am not able to give it the attention it needs to keep it fun and exciting for the fans.  I will be happy to share my concert experiences in 2018 on the new thread once I have some! LOL

Thank you all for your participation and making the Tour threads a bunch of fun over the years since this site started in 2010 and the one before this one!

Happy New Year to all of you and I hope you all have an amazing  Bolton Year in 2018.

She sure is! Turns 17 this month and 5’9”. She heard Michael was singing Go The Distance and wanted to be there. It’s one of her favorite Disney songs. Last time she saw him, she told him she hoped he would sing it, and he told her “Maybe next time”.

I remember seeing her last at the show in Lancaster, PA in 2015 and we all waited at the car for MB. She was getting taller then.  They grow up fast!!! Neat she got to hear him sing it!!!

Loved hearing your reviews Sally and Robin. You know, Robin, we've spoken already and love it. Can't wait to see Michael 1/19.18. Want to com out here and wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. If there's guilt and regret, and we've all had them, just let it go.

Sally, cool your daughter's 17, loves "Go the Distance" and awesome she got her doll signed. Now. How cool is that? Robin. Thanks ever so much for your hard work with this thread and I wish you well Gail with this thread. Thanks in advance.
