Hi Jennifer,
To bad you can't remember a few more words, or at least one line from the song as I am sure one of us would be able to help you. It really sounds like the song "Completely" on The One Thing album from 1993. It is a slow love song, but you say that's not it. I will listen for the word completely when I listen to my CD's of Michael, which is every day! He has so very many love songs like you are looking for from the 90's there is no way to know. My favorites are "Now That I've Found You" and "In The Arms of Love". I would go to YouTube.com and start clicking on some of his older songs, maybe you might find it that way. Good luck, and let us know what the song is-if you figure it out!
Joy
Hi again Jennifer D. I did a little research and although I still don’t know what your song is, I’ve found the discography:
http://www.michaelbolton.com/page/music-1
Now, to make absolutely sure, this is Michael’s song « Completely »
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hkljInt210
In the discography/videography, you’ll find most of Michael’s albums, lyrics and direct links to where you can buy the albums. Hope that helps, if not, let us know! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Jennifer D, I’m back. I thought about it and I have a few suggestions. Okay, first one, off the album “The one thing” in ’93, this one is very slow and one of the last songs on the CD: “A time for letting go”:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWP90vzwXzA
A second one off “The one thing” that’s a lot of people’s favorite, “Said I loved you… but I lied”, another slow one that’s the first song on the CD:
Here’s an older one from “The hunger” in 1987 called “Walk away”, last song on the CD:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp0g4k0PHvo&feature=related
Here’s another one from “The one thing” called “in the arms of love”, gorgeous last song of the CD:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgEzjWddMb0&feature=related
Here’s one from 1995 from his “Greatest hits” CD called “I promise you”, one of the last songs:

Here’s one from “Timeless the classics” in 1992, the Beatles song “yesterday”, this one’s in the middle of the CD though:

And last but certainly not least, off the 1989 album “Soul provider”, the most incredible song ever in my opinion, “When I’m back on my feet again”, track 7 on the CD:
Wow, it took a while to find this version: most of the videos or audios on Youtube have the remix version. I must have checked a dozen before I found it… Well anyway, Jennifer, I have to thank you for asking this question, doing the research for you was a lot of fun! I’d have more suggestions, but they might extend beyond 1993. What I would suggest, since you remember the album cover, go to the discography link I gave you in my previous post, so you can at least narrow it down to what album. Let us know if we need to look further. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Juliet, I thought of « Missing you now”, but I think she would have remembered the saxophone… Just in case:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUE7kzI2gdY
Jennifer D. mentioned piano and not much else and a slow song so I’m also thinking it could be either “Georgia on my mind”, second song on “Soul provider”:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxZLgZs8Q1g
Or the beautiful “Stand up for love”, last song from “Soul provider”:

After all that search for WIBOMFA this morning, I had to listen to “Soul provider! :D I think I’ll wait for Jennifer’s response now. Take care Juliet. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Jennifer welcome to the forum I was thinking and maybe it is
"Can I touch you...there"

Love Dianna xxx
Still thinking though :)
Hi!
Ummmm. wow... difficult... could be "complete" and not "completely" and the song New Love when it says "always something takes me by complete surprise"??
Sorry... hope you find the answer soon!
Hi again Jennifer D. well sweetie, from what you’ve just said, sounds like some of the lyrics from “Completely:
--------
Completely
Wanna give my love, completely
I'd rather be alone than be
In love just half the way
I want to find someone
That I can trust
Completely
Wanna give my heart, completely
To someone who'll completely give
Their heart to only me
And when I find that one
That's when I'll fall in love
Chorus:
Completely
Not half but whole
With heart and soul, completely
Not in between
But everything, completely
That's the way it's gotta be
The way I want someone to fall in love with me
Forever
Wanna feel the word, forever
And know there'll be somebody there
Forever by my side
And when that feelin' comes
That's when I'll give my love
Chorus:
Completely
Not half but whole
With heart and soul, completely
Not in between
But everything, completely
That's the way it's gotta be
The way I want someone to fall in love with me
It's all or nothin' at all
For this heart of mine
And I won't give up this heart
Until the day I find
Somebody who can be
Someone who loves me
Completely
Not half but whole
With heart and soul, completely
Not in between
But everything, completely
That's the way it's gotta be
The way I want someone to fall in love with me
The way I'll meet someone to fall in love with me

So I don’t know what to tell you. It’s not impossible that it’s not an MB song you’re thinking of. Some people have mistaken Bryan Adams’ voice, thinking it was Michael. As a matter of fact, I came across a karaoke CD of both Bryan and Michael once. However, I can’t think of a Bryan Adams song that fits your description, with similar lyrics Or could it have been Richard Marx? I’m just grasping at straws. Well, sorry I couldn’t help more sweetie. Good luck finding it, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hey Kathy, are you kidding? I live for this! Lol Oh good grief, don’t give our Scottish friend any ideas! Lol You see Kathy, I have a lot of help to give and I had it all bottled up during my years without access so I’m trying hard to catch up! :D Yikes! Michael McDonald, a country singer? Have I been sleeping that long? Kathy, the last I heard, Michael McDonald had been the lead singer of the Doobie Brothers for a few years until he went out on his own and he’s recorded 2 or 3 tributes to Motown CD’s in the past few years. If he’s doing country now, I haven’t heard… I think he has a very distinctive voice though and fail to catch the resemblance in their voices, sorry. Oh I agree “Completely” should have been a hit though, so should have a lot of songs but we won’t go there. Thanks a lot for singing my praises to new members Kathy, I’m blushing! :D Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
