I think this song I am looking for is a MB song but not sure.  It was out in the early 90's (on a jukebox in a local tavern I went to) and I do not know the name of the song sadly.  It had the word completely in it but it was not Completely.  It was a very slow love song though - very very slow.  Extreme romantic song as well.  Any ideas anyone?  I am sorry i do not have any more to offer.

I honestly don't know if that is the same McDonald Sylvie. I am so terrible with musical histories other than our dear Michael. My husband would know.....he and our son are big music fans and know all the titles and names of singers and when the songs came out etc. Perhaps I should have said adult contemporary genre instead of country. Won't be my last mistake!! You see Solver.....that is why I learn slowly...I forever rely on my guys!!! lol I will get back to you on that :) So glad you are tickled pink working on this! BTW...I have just returned from writing Oprah AGAIN...LOL Perhaps she will let all the other fans IN and keep me OUT!!! Nah....I think she knows better...LOL No need to blush my friend because the truth is the truth!! Happy Helping to Sylvie the Solver!!! Cheers!!!

Hi Juliet....a little too hot for you also eh?.....the video that is!! LOL

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Hi again Kathy, I just wanted to say, what’s not to like about this job? I get to try and think of MB songs that fit the description, look for them and listen to them… It’s a tough job but I’m up for the challenge! :D Plus I get to show off again! Woops, did I just say that? J But seriously Kathy, I’ve said this before: music is like oxygen to me and I just love sharing about it. I’ve responded about Oprah on the other thread, see you there! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

You go girl...the Solver that is!! If anyone can help that fan remember what song she heard...it will be you!!

Kathy and LAFD Bob

I agree :-) thank you so much!!!!  And if I do find the song or the version of completely if it is that song then I will definitely share.  It is just bugging me lol.  Thabnks so much again@!

Hi Jennifer D, let me attempt one more try at helping. In the case the song you’re looking for is not from MB, check these artists to see if the voices spark anything for you. This is Bryan Adams:

And this is Richard Marx:

Take care sweetie and hope that helps. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Nope not either of those :-(  I am getting more confused now :-(  I did not think it was completely but now am not sure.  The versions of completely I have heard are just too "noisy".  Does that make sense?  The song I remember was soft low, slow, and the singer had a very powerful voice and could really hit the notes.  It will come to me I am sure :-)

Since we are mentioning other singers here, which I never knew if it was OK to do as I am new to this site.  We don't want to hurt MB's feelings!   But I think he knows he is #1 for all of us, no one else can take his place.  I came across a new singer on "America's Got Talent" this year, and he did end up winning the show.  He is someone to watch, he will make it big in my opinion.  He is similar to our Michael as he has the raspy soulful voice.  I really like this guy, check him out.

Hi Joy....wasn't that a great performance when he sang WAMLAW? That is the first thing Bob and I said...wow what a great rendition and Michael interpretation. More bluesy than Michael. Very well done and I hope he goes far. So far no one has been arrested for talking about other singers...lol There is room for others...a little room that is. Michael is number one here!!! Thanks for the sneak peek :)

Kathy,

Yes, I almost forgot that Grimm sang WAMLAW for the final.  I am sure that helped him win!  Grimm is similar to our Michael a little, a little of Joe Cocker in there too.  I do like him, but MB is and will always be the KING!

Hi Joy,

thank you for sharing. I live in Germany so I missed this talent. God bless 'You Tube' :-), so I could check him out. I really like how he sings and his voice too. These duets with McKenna and Jewel are wonderful too. I hope, he will have success.

Of course, he has not Michaels vocal range and I can not imagine him developing a similar number of musical genres such as Michael did (and does). On the other hand, who would have ever predicted, that a (former) - (former?, hm) - hard rock singer from New England (Michaels own words :-)) could unite so many fans with such a different taste in music? :-).

This world has plenty of room for talented singers and as for me, I exactly know where my musical heart is at home.

Thank you again.

Best wishes

Astrid.

Hi Astrid, I agree that Youtube is one of the best ideas ever had and I’m very thankful we have it. It’s a terrific way to share music we know and music we don’t know. Well, not all artists can be as awesome as Michael Bolton, but it would be  very 2-dimensional of people to enjoy only one artist, wouldn’t it? Other artists have interesting voices, some great voices and some have interesting  things to say. Besides, I think it’s okay for artists to have a specific genre or sound: would anyone have enjoyed Pavarotti singing jazz or Marvin Gaye sing country music? I, myself have a pretty big music collection and enjoy many genres. Variety is the spice of life! Michael himself enjoys a ton of various genres and artists and keeps discovering new ones every day it seems… That’s just one of the many reasons he’ll always be the musical love of my life… :D Thanks for sharing Astrid, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
