2010 Concert Tour Reviews-Please share your reviews with us here!

Hi everyone, I thought it might be nice to have a thread for everyone to post their concert reviews in again like we've done in the past. It's such fun hearing about all the shows and everyone's experiences and see their photos. 

 

Anyone attending, please post your review.  Its exciting that Michael and his band are hitting the road again and traveling the world!

What a night at the Youkey Theater in Lakeland,Fl. on the 01/19/11! Michael was great as always and my sister was blown away with him lol.  It was my sister Linda first ever concert of Michael's as she has been a fan of his music for years. It was a treat for me to enjoy the concert through her excitment. My sisters comments were "he is so kind as he talk to the audience" and when he came in the audience to sing WAMLAW she states "oh that is so thoughtful of him" This was my first time to hear Michael sing Sweet Home Chicago because it has been about five years since I've seen him in concert. When Michael sung Nessuan Dorma he recieved a standing ovation but the song sounded better than I have ever heard Michael sing this song. I say this after many concerts and the audience response was awesome I thought. The sax player was great too but they had problems with the sound at times so Michael talk to them at one point in between songs and got a little better towards the end of show. All this said it was a pleasure again to hear Michael sing again and My sister Linda left happy and impressed with his talent. Michael sung all his hits and one song  from the OWOL cd Hope Its To Late.

Hey Jimmy, glad you made it here! Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review! Aww so glad your sister enjoyed the show: you did a great description of her concert discovery... Did you know that Michael's "Sweet home Chicago" is all over Youtube? Or did you mean it was your first time hearing it live in person? If you go back a few pages on this thread, back in November, many fans were saying Michael is sounding better and better, if that's possible! lol Jimmy, I'm really glad you've posted your review. Two other fans have posted theirs too, but in the "new 2011 tour review" thread, along with the setlist, in case you want to be reminded of the great night you've had. I'm glad you've posted here though, because that might give you a chance to browse through one of everybody's favorite threads! Several fans have posted both pictures and Youtube links to their uploaded videos and I'm sure you can find  a few of "Sweet home Chicago". Well thanks again for sharing Jimmy and happy reading! I can only reiterate what my two friends have said above and thank you too for your review of the show......am so glad too that nothing detracted from you and your sister's enjoyability of it.....was so pleased to hear of the reception Michael got for Nessum Dorma - know that kind of reception would blow him away - and can only hope that if he realizes how much people love to hear him sing opera we may yet get another operatic CD - as I say, live in hope !!!  :)     Thanks again Jimmy for a great review !

Hey Janniche, good to see you resurfacing again! Oh I do  hope you get a concert this year sweetie, I think you could use it! Okay, the CD you're talking about sounds like yet another compilation. The song "This river" is on the "Greatest hits" album and "From now on" is on "Soul provider, right after "When I'm back on my feet again". The Xmas album seems to have been postponed until next Xmas season, although we were told Michael already recorded a few duets for it and the picture of the Xmas CD is in the latest tour program. We were also told that in the spring, there'll be a new CD/DVD of the "David Foster and friends" show that was recorded back in October, but it has a bunch of other people on it. Michael's next album of which we basically know nothing about, except that "Hallelujah" is supposed to be on it, is scheduled to be released in May. Sweetie, as long as you make the best of what happens to you, think positive and listen to Michael, I think life should be a lot more bareable, until it becomes more enjoyable. I've missed you sweetie and I'm glad to know you're back for good! Take good care of yourself my little Norwegian friend. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi again Janniche, yes sweetie, "The prayer" is one of the duets (with Lara Fabian) that's supposed to be on the Xmas album. If I remember correctly, there are supposed to be 2 duets with Helene Fischer and one with Katherine Jenkins. From the info Florin had found for us, the duet with Miss Jenkins was going to be live so, I have a feeling it was the one from the Xmas show he did somewhere in Europe in 2009. Hi Sylvie...I honestly can't remember his name but he is so sweet and has almost every bit of Michael's career put down on paper! How fun it would be to listen to you two converse on the delightful topic of Michael Bolton!!! You both would end up applying Michael for sainthood!!! LOL Love it :) You could also send a glass of water over here to me to gulp down just in hopes of learning how to use a computer!!!!! ;)
