Hey, I was wondering what everyones first experience was of enjoying Michael's music? the first time you realised you were a fan?

I must admit, my first interaction was when I watched the movie Snow Dogs a couple of years ago and heard Time, Love and Tenderness at the end, I thought it was fantastic and my love has just grown from there!

Sorry if this has already been discussed before, but I'm interested to hear your stories!

I like your lioness and cub picture Sylvia.  Can you feel the love tonight?  I saw the Lion King on Broadway few years ago, what a fantastic show!!!  Love the animated movie too....   :)

Hi Astrid,

I really enjoyed reading about your love for Michael and becoming a fan of his!!  And thanks for the pictures too, I may take one and put it on my facebook page, hope you don't mind.....

I was just remembering a few weeks ago when I was on the subway going home from work.....some guy with long hair was playing a guitar and he had a nice voice...don't remember what song he was singing....but he kind of reminded me more of Orrin than Michael by his looks.  Anyway we smiled at each other and I gave him some money before he ran off the train to go to the next car.  I haven't seen him since, but if I did see him again I should ask him to sing a MB song!!  :)

Hi Helena,

I am glad that you enjoyed my story. - The pictures are taken from various websides and intended to be shared for private use - so feel free to do so!

There are a lot of good singers on the street - which song would you ask for? I hope you will have your chance :-)

Hugs, Astrid

Thanks Astrid!!

I'm not sure which song I would ask for...need to think about that...LOL!!!  :)

Hi Helena, it would be interesting to find out, if you asked a streett musician to sing you a Michael Bolton song, which one would he sing? I guess it would depend  on the musician's age, what do you think? Food for thought. Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

hi girls

sometimes here in Switzerland you can find street musicians from US (or English speaking), if I see one, I'll ask him to sing a song of M.B., let's see what happens!

Hi Silvy, frankly, in Switzerland, I'd just be happy if the musician knew a song and I would give him money, never mind how bad he'd be, as long as he tried! :D How much does Michael play on the radio in Switzerland Silvy? Just curious. Take good care of yourself sweetie. Tanti baci, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Well you know girls, sometimes these musicians don't take request....they just sing what they know or feel like singing.  I may be a little nervous to ask, depending on (like you said Sylvie) his age, attitude, what he is already singing.  Then there are these Spanish guys singing Mexican songs and black guys singing Doo Wopp type songs....so can't really ask them for a MB song.....LOL!

Hello Jenna,

The first song I ever heard from Michael was 'That's what love is all about'. At that time I did not know who sung that song and I never found the song in a music store. Until 'How am I supposed to live without you'. I immediately fell in love with the song, played it over and over again. It became a great hit in my country (Belgium). I immediately bought the CD. From the first till the last song this CD is spectacular. I became a big fan and started to buy earlier records. On one of those earlier records I finally found out who the singer of 'That's what love is all about' was.

I went to a concert in Rotterdam (Ahoy) -> waw what a voice, what a performance! That concert was FANTASTIC!!

And now after all these years I am still a big fan of Michael.

The moment I found out he was coming to Belgium I bought a ticket. I'm looking forward to seeing him live again.

Lots of love from Belgium!!

Hilde

Hi Hilde,

Lovely to hear from you and I am so glad you have got tickets to see the show in Belgium - once you have been you must come into the 2011 concert thread and tell us all about the show - we just love to hear all the stories.  There is a concert taking place in Atlantic City in America tonight and we know some girls who are going and they are going to send in their reviews of the show so come on over to that thread and get a little appetizer of what your show could be like  !!!  :)

Lovely to hear too how you came to be a fan of Michael's - everyone has beautiful stories to tell !!!  :)

Bonjour Hilde and welcomne to the forum! That’s great that you’ve been a fan all these years! Wow, I hadn’t realized Michael was going to Belgium, when is that? I haven’t read  Belgium on the tour list. Well anyway, hope you enjoy the forum as much as we do Hilde, take care and thanks for sharing. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Hilde,

I have just come back onto this thread and have seen reply by Sylvie wondering about concert in Belgium, so I went and checked tour schedule that we have and Sylvie is right we do not have a tour date for Belgium - it is Portugal and Tenerife plus three dates in Germany that we have so if you have a definite date for Belgium it would be good to hear about it so that we could add it to tour dates calendar !!!

Sylvia.   Your wee Scottish friend.
