Is this a joke??

I've just checked some of the lyrics from this album and they are disgusting!!! Really vile and very explicit!!

Akon sings one song called 'I just had sex' and the lyrics describe the guys sexual exploits and details what happened to his 'manhood tools' during this act!!!!  Vile!!

I truly hope this is a mistake and that Michael is not involved in something a vile as this or the incorrect lyrics have been posted??

When you follow the links that Florin has kindly provided, it takes you to a site where you can view some of the lyrics to a few of the songs on the album.

I am not a prude, far from it infact, but the lyrics to these songs are disgusting!!

The song entitled 'We're back' details how dirty the guys 'manhood tools' are!!

Justin Timberlakes song' Motherlover' is also vile and crude.

The song called 'The Creep' tells of how she spys on the boys getting undressed in the locker room?

Can somebody explain what is going on here? Or have I completely missed the plot or has the wrong information been posted on the sites???

Hi Jennifer,

Completely correct -  no mis-information - no April Fool - the Akon song "I Just Had Sex" was a huge hit - don't know what Michael's songs about !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Sylvia.   Your wee Scottish friend.

As the rest have said..it isn't a mistake.  I don't know the lyrics to Michael's song but keep watch because you may be hearing more about it in the near future.  Gail

Thank's Gail.

Love, Shannon xx

Thanks Gail!

Here is an interview with the Lonely Island guys...they seem to like MB!!

.
You’d think Andy Samberg would be tough to excite. After all, the Saturday Night Live actor, digital-short maven, and frontman of “fake-rap” comedy trio The Lonely Island acts alongside Hollywood big-wigs like De Niro and Diaz by trade, and rubs elbows in the studio with Timberlake and Casablancas in his spare time. A recent encounter however, left the 32-year-old utterly charmed. “There was no one that we’ve ever worked with that I was more delighted to hear singing words that we had written,” Samberg says, not of Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj or a host of other A-listers who appear on his group’s second album, Turtleneck and Chain, but of the king of schmaltz: Michael Bolton. “We love that guy and he obviously can sing his ass off,” Samberg says, laughing. Bolton — who became a household name for Samberg’s generation thanks to an incredible lampoon job courtesy of the 1999 cult-comedy Office Space — took some “cajoling,” but was finally convinced to appear on album highlight “Jack Sparrow” where he indulges his inner-cinephile during his “big sexy hook.”
.
But Bolton is just one of several guests who blew Sandberg’s mind upon agreeing to appear on the album which hits stores on May 10th; perhaps the most impressive being the notoriously idiosyncratic musician Beck, who thanks to shared management, was persuaded to log his production and vocal talents for album shy-guy anthem “Attracted To Us.” “Beck is like crazy prolific,” Samberg says, still seemingly baffled that the singer was down for what some might consider a frivolous project. “We were basically just over the moon that he was into it.”

.
Following the success of Incredibad, the group’s debut LP — anchored by its instant viral hits (“I’m On A Boat,” “Dick In A Box,” and “Lazy Sunday”) — The Lonely Island, which also features SNL writers, and Samberg’s childhood friends, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, spent their entire last summer exclusively focused on crafting their sophomore LP. “If we’re gonna do this, we’re gonna do it full force,” Samberg says, recalling the group’s motto before immersing themselves in a host of full-day sessions at a rented LA mansion. Things weren’t necessarily easy, however. “The most difficult part,” says Samberg, “was getting out of our heads and just getting back to making each other laugh…which is kind of always our rule for how we make any kind of comedy.” As the group also found out, thanks to their hectic schedules, various side projects, and growing familial units, finding time to record would prove to be a challenge. But as Samberg says, the group, in the end, was able to successfully block out all outside factors. “When we’re (recording for The Lonely Island),” Samberg says, “it’s definitely our number one priority.”
.

The Lonely Island’s brand of musical parody, while varying in its specific topics, tends to focus on the hip-hop world’s absurd appetite for boastful behavior (see Incredibad’s “Like A Boss”). Perhaps then, it should come as no surprise that the group chose to once again riff on this theme when titling their new project with what appears to be the antithesis of hip-hop cool: a turtle neck and, as Samberg calls it, a “thin ass chain.” This unique pairing, which Samberg maintains is “underrated,” did however have sentimental value to the group: it was the three member’s wardrobe calling card back in junior high.
.
Back when they were sporting turtlenecks and chains on the regular, the three friends never dreamt that comedy music could become a career. Two decades later, this talent has not only allowed them to sell a healthy dose of records, but has also made them the most consistently enjoyable aspect of SNL.
“We did daydream about putting out our own comedy records of joke songs,” Samberg admits, “but it wasn’t like a calculated thing of like ’someday we’ll get on SNL and (make musical parodies).’”
