Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval. I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like. Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year. I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me. For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US. Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture. When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us. It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael. Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65! Looking forward to hearing from you, Sally

Hi Tina,
Yes isn't that picture yummy of him. I like him with short hair, I don't know why. When he had long hair we were all crazy about those locks. I could just imagine running my fingers through it. ;-D I see your from GA, I have family in Mariette is that close by? Have a good weekend. Sylvia
Hi again Tina, I’m really glad I could help. Hee-hee, I’m one of the 2 blind girls sweetie! I’m really sorry, I remember vaguely reading your story but don’t remember the details. Tina, if you have a chance to meet Michael, I think you have to treat it as your only shot, so you can’t pass out! Lol Who’s the little girl asking questions on the forum? Well anyway, keep me posted if you ever do get passes and let me know how you’re finding things on the forum, good luck! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Tina, well, I don’t know if I’ve helped really but the forum isn’t that complicated: if 2 blind girls can figure it out, it’s possible. What I did at first was to check one discussion at a time like “general chat” and go through the threads one by one to figure out what I’d like to follow and so on. Jennifer was one of the first here and started a thread with “hints and tips” in the “off topic” discussion, to configure one’s page, if that helps. Yeah, I think being a single mom, backstage passes might be too steep for you on EBay. You can write to the promoters, call radio stations that promote his concert or even call the venue he’ll be at. You have to dare and ask. My friend Sylvia from Texas called a radio station that had a contest, didn’t win but called back and begged for passes and got them! Her concert review is on the 2010 tour review thread. I love your attitude Tina! You’ll have the pictures, the memories of a great concert and if you’re not too shy, go to the stage after “When a man loves a woman” and you might shake his hand! Oh Tina, you’re so sweet, I just know you’ll have a great time, whatever happens, God bless you! Good luck with your page, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Tina, I’ve just read your comment on the thread you’ve started “Okay so…” about working to learn about this forum and making friends. I was here since the beginning and it took me a while to figure it all out and the site has grown so much since then. I think it’s just a matter of taking the time to experiment with things and sort through discussions: it’s a lot of fun! And as far as this feeling like a family, it made me smile when you wrote that because I have a dear Bolton buddy, Robin from California and we’ve been corresponding for 10 years next January and we call each other “Bolton sister”! lol Hope you work it all out and wish you a wonderful time in January and don’t lose hope about passes, think positive! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hey Tina, You are very welcome. The main thing is to watch the shows, enjoy and then vote...you can vote on your cell, home phone and online. I believe you can vote the number of times there are contestants so the first night you can vote 12 times on each of these devices. It would be fantastic for all the fans to vote this many times!! Thanks, Gail
Welcome to the forum. Feel free to check out the different sections, there are pics in the gallery tab, click on All Albums or All photos to see all of them, I have some in there from a Golf event in June this year and some from earlier times too. My page has some more recent ones. Also check out the Home page where MB blogs periodically. Enjoy the site.
Welcome again,Robin
