Love the article. Yay mentioning the bee Gees as they are an ultimate favorite of mine. Loved the article&awesome about the couple celebrating their 20th&loved about soul provider in their rings. AW

Maybe it was a slow song and they were still seated!!However, look at all the smiles on their faces!!!! LOL I love rocking out too but sometimes the audience is not as lively and unfortunately then we chair dance, not the same!! Great pics everyone.  Keep them coming!!

I just joined this site, having attended my first Michael Bolton concert in St. Charles, IL last Sunday evening, and your comments about everyone sitting was an observation I made right from the start!  I'm so glad I was seated in the back row of main floor (every seat was actually a good seat in this theatre) because we were able to stand and dance the whole time!  I was surprised to see there were a lot of older fans (meaning older than my 57 yrs) and thought maybe this is why they stayed seated.  I was happy to see several standing ovations by most of the audience but still surprised they could stay seated during some of his AMAZING songs!

Welcome Nancy to the forum site and this thread..  MB's audiences are a wide range in ages sometimes, depending where the show is in what part of the country. Did MB come close to where you were for When A Man Loves A Woman?  I like sitting up front but I understand about not worrying about blocking people further back.  So glad you like the show. MB give the best concerts ever!!!

Again Welcome!!

Robin in MD :)

Welcome Nancy & thanks ever so much for your review. Did you get to go up to the stage & shake hands. Awesome your 1st concert. It seems as if you enjoyed yourself & I'm glad.W

Sadly, he didn't quite make it back by us during When A Man Loves A Woman and I can TOTALLY understand why sitting up close would be preferred!   He did, however, shake my hand and wink at me while smiling!   I was first in line for the signing table, thanks to his merchandise handler who was absolutely wonderful to me when I asked for 'tips' on where to line up once the concert was over.  He showed me where the line would begin and explained Michael wouldn't appear until people were through buying merchandise.  As I thanked him and headed back inside the theater the guy called to me and asked my name... when I told him Nancy, he said, "well Nancy, come on back over here".  He pulled out a pad of yellow sticky notes and after writing my name on it, he put a number 1 and said I would be the first in line!  He explained "no one will see Michael unless they have one of my little notes".  Sure enough, when the concert was over and I started out for the lobby, I saw the line had already wrapped around a corner and down the hall!  I walked ahead to the front of the line where the guy said it would begin and encountered two women in the front of the line. One of the women held up a cd with a yellow sticky note while enthusiastically exclaiming she was number 2 - and I, of course, was just as excited and held up my number 1 !!   Words cannot express what a thrill it was to meet Michael!  And because I was first in line, I was able to talk to him for what seemed like forever because they hadn't finished getting everything settled.  Even when one of the security guys said I needed to move on - Michael said he wasn't done  (I had bought his book and 2 cd's, and he was unwrapping the cd's himself to pull out the covers!)  I have loved his voice for over 25 years - he has been one of my favorite singers of all time.  What I didn't know until this night was what a CLASS act he is - a total entertainer, funny, utterly charming and charasmatic.  Seeing him in this theatre which seats only 900 people made the concert experience so much more intimate and exciting...  Yes, I am now a Michael Bolton super fan!  This is the first time I have EVER joined a fan club and the first time I have spent hours on You Tube watching all his interviews and video's.  It's great to see I am not alone and there is a place where his fans can share and dwell on him!   I'm curious to know, prior to this current concert tour, do you know the last time he toured the U.S.?  (and thank you Robin for your kind comments!)

Hi Nancy and welcome......oh sweetie, you had one very, very special MB experience, that is great, Nancy :)). I absolutely love your review and your experience and enthusiasm. That was so nice you were able to spend extra time meeting with MB too, awesome, and how neat he opened your cds for you too :). In answer to your question about MB's touring....he opened this time with his One Love, One World Tour in 2010-2011 and has been at it ever since all over the world as well as in the U. S. If I am not mistaken it began in London England at the Royal Albert Hall which is available on DVD through Amazon and various other vendors, if you do not have it already you must get it, it is awesome, Nancy. You are right, he is a fabulous entertainer. Would you mind sharing what merchandise was available to purchase? I will see MB in Durant, Oklahoma this Thursday night with a meet and greet as well and I am so very excited. Again, I really loved your review and experience and hope you are finding your way around here on the site too, there is so much to discover. Just whistle at us if you have more questions or need help. Enjoy discovering MB's exciting world, Nancy :)). We have a saying here.....ENJOY YOUR CLOUD NINE ;)).

You are welcome Nancy and YES MB is a very Class Act, and has always been wonderful to the fans.  He really cares about his fans and really does appreciate all the support of his loyal fans. That's so nice you got to talk to him at the book/cd signing.  He had one in York, PA last year after our show and we talked to him too..those are alot of fun.  He takes his time with you despite the security sometimes wanting to push you through.  MB is not like that.

Come on in and post as often as you like and I'm glad you found this site.. Some of the girls already answered your questions. .He toured the USA earlier this year and I went to four of those concerts. He's been touring most times every year, I know in 2009 he didn't as much near me as I saw him just once at the MBC Event (His  Charity is Michael Bolton Charities Inc.), check it out.You can also check out the New Dates Added thread on here, one of the feature threads, that's where Gail, our Administrator here, will post confirmed concert dates.   MB is always touring somewhere it seems like. He has more energy than I ever could and following him has bee fun all these years. I'm coming up on my 2th year going to see him in concert. Alot of fun times and great memories thanks to MB!! So glad you joined us to share your great night!!!  Check out the gallery here and click on all albums and you will see many pages of fan photos from concerts and events, mine included.  There is a video link here as well to check out!!

Have fun exploring the site...

P.S. there are two Robin's on here, me back East in Maryland Robin R. in CA..who used to live here in MD too and we used to go to some of the same shows and got to know each other! LOL Just an FYI. So now we are his West Coast and East Coast fans named Robin we say!!LOL

Hi Nancy, oh wow, talk about a dream come true: your first concert and meeting Michael! Welcome to the forum sweetie. I know how you feel about finally finding a fan group and site you can participate on  and I’ll tell you: it’s wonderful! Thank you so much for the account of your evening. It’s a good thing you thought of asking the merchandise guy! Nancy, you really did a fantastic description, because we can feel how overjoyed you still are... As the ladies said before me, Michael has described his touring since 2010 as the “neverending tour”. He’s toured the U.S. earlier this year, is touring the U.S. now, takes a break in January, a couple of Canadian dates and back in the U.S. until March, then Germany and the U.K. and though he’s been crazy busy especially since his birthday, he said he’s not planning to stop, God bless him. :D  Here is where you can have access to the complete confirmed tour list:

http://michaelbolton.com/events/event/listUpcoming

...and here is where you can keep an eye on the upcoming, not always confirmed dates, by either fans or our wonderful moderator Gail:

If you can take the time, click on “all discussions” and browse the different categories like “General chat”, “the music” etc and feel free to join in on any thread. If you don’t see a topic you’d like to discuss, either ask us about it, or start your own discussion. We’re a friendly bunch here and it’s always nice to meet fans who are enthusiastic as you are! Take care sweetie and hope you post often. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
