Hi everyone,

I think enough of us are watching American Idol (AI) to make this thread worthwhile. So I am taking Sylvie from Canada's suggestion to move it from New Tour Reviews 2011 and give it it's own thread here in Off Topic. Since tonight starts the top 11 voting, it's getting interesting and a good time to start talking about it.

I have been a fan since it started 10 years ago. Hard to believe it's been on that long, not many TV shows last that long. So to anyone watching: "who is your favorite?"

Kathy,

There are some other states on the East coast that charge for beach access, MA, CT, RI and maybe a few others. And that is if you want to swim or stay on the beach. If you are walking on the beach you don't have to pay. Not sure how you prove that, I guess if you don't have an umbrella, towels and bags etc. they let you in free. We just go after hours when we want to walk, and there is no one there to even ask you.

But this is NJ, as much I as love some things about it-there is a lot to hate about it. Don't get me started! This is one bad thing, besides the property taxes.

You couldn't pay me enough to go to a public swimming pool....oh my they'd all run off:)! LMAO:)! We had a pool in our backyard, but it's been put to rest! It was a headache keeping it going! I stay in the AC as much as possible:)!

But yes it is very Hot & Humid here! I hope your friend gets well soon! I've always heard we have the best heart specialists, here!

BTW it was Michael & Rascal Flatts that I made the books for:)! Jason got the sign:)!

Thanks Mary :) Our firned was just released from the hospital and is now waiting to be cleared to fly home :))))

Now are you surprised I would forget which item you gave to which singer??? lol I am proud that I at least had some facts correct!!! LOL 

I agree....no public pools for me...and public hot tubs???? GROSS!!! lol

Hey Gloria, thanks for the heads up and thanks a lot for the links! I've just listened to the press conference she gave after the show: she really was happy for Phillip and thought he and Joshua would be the last 2 standing and she does want to go the urban/soul route with a bit of pop. Thanks so much for doing that!  Joshua was so good!  Can't wait to see what type of songs he will record.

They will all be on the Idol tour for a year before they can do much of anything.  But after that, we will see how they develop into super stars!  The second link was disabled :(

Thanks for the link Gloria and that was a nice interview with him !! :)     Does little Phillip not get to do any chat shows or has he got to wait till release of CD before he is allowed to appear on anything.....is there some regulation because he won ???? :)

Hi Gloria, thanks again for the link sweetie, Joshua was great! It seems the only person I remember watching "Live" for is our Michael... Here's a bit of useless trivia about  "It's a man's world" and James Brown. He was scheduled to be on "Live" years ago, could have been when it was with Regis & Kathie Lee, but he refused to go on because of the 2 minute song rule, can you imagine?Although, in a way, I suppose they have to move the show along and James Brown was known to sing extensively long versions of his songs. Then again, if you have James Brown on, do you really want to cut him off? Well anyway, have you guys heard about Kathie Lee's faux pas on her show yesterday?
