Hi everyone, well this is my first attempt at starting a discussion so hope I’m doing this right... :D . A couple of weeks ago, I asked Gail when she thought would be a proper time to start thinking of what we fans want to do for our Michael’s 60th birthday. She said she was out of ideas, but suggested I’d start a thread asking fans for suggestions. I figure we have exactly 4 months, starting today,  to come up with something fun and get mobilised to achieve it. I’m no organizer, I just thought we could share ideas so let’s put our heads together and see what we can come up with! :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada J

*The 2 most popular suggestions so far are:

- individual donations to michaelboltoncharities.com, mentionning they are made in honor of Michael’s birthday, of any amount you feel comfortable with.

-a collective wall-hanging made from personalized fabric squares sent by fans that will be stitched together. The 4 inch/10 cm squares (with small blank margin) only need have your signature and location but can be crafty as you are able. For

more info, ask here, or PM either me, or Amie Angeli who will be doing the stitching and presenting the finished product to our Michael.

**Note: The final deadline for recieving fabric squares is February 15th, so you don't have much time left. :D

**It would also mean a lot to Michael if fans donate to the Red Cross for victims of hurricane Sandy at:

then E-mail Gail at boltoninfo@aol.com with your name and location, so she can add  them to the MBC donors list.

**If you feel strongly about sending Michael a card or personal gift, you may send it to:

Michael Bolton

c/o Michael Bolton Charities

P.O. Box 936

Branford, CT 06405

*Note that the deadline for recieving cards and presents is February 20th 2013, whether you send them to either Gail or Michael Bolton Charities.

Hi Gail, I sent mine on the 19th, but sent it directly to MBC this time. In any case, chances are Michael won't be picking up all his presents  from there on Tuesday, so I feel remotely safe... :D Thanks for the update Gail, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

No problem Sylvie, Andrena is taking good care of those coming there as well and Michael will get them safely I know.  Gail

Hi Gail, oh I'm not worried about Andrena, just the postal service. Amie was saying international post seemed to be slow. I'm not losing sleep over it, just hoping it makes it on time, thanks again Gail. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc canada

Thanks for doing this for us, Gail!

Love, Anna (in MO)

Gail asked me to post the pictures for the card. It arrived yesterday morning. It's made of a plastic corrigated material. I forget the "real" name for it. And it comes in a cardboard envelope. (ignore the messy room in the background - it's my sewing room). Robin and I both picked up fine tip markers in different colors. She is going to call the venue and see if we can get a table to put the card on so it should be easier to sign. Thank you Gail for helping with this. The card is better then I expected.

Who will we be seeing at the York? York must be excited to have Michael there for his birthday, I've seen quite a few articles about it.

Thanks for posting it here Sally..It looks great!!!  I hope to get the table arranged the day before.  We all are pitching in to do our best here...And spreading the word to have it for the fans for sign. Sally the pics are lovely.

Thanks again for posting it!

I have seen some neat articles too.  Great publicity for the show!!

Robin in MD:)

The card looks great!! Thanks for posting Sally!! Have a GREAT time ladies :) It sounds like as long as you use permanent markers they should write on any type of surface. Good luck and can't wait to see the card filled with names!! Thanks again Gail, Sally and Robin Md and whom ever else is getting this card completed and delivered to Michael!! WooHoo!!!!

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Awesome about the card&Sally, thanks for the pictures&descriptions. Don't worry about the "messy" sewing room. I can't see it. :)))))) Don't mind my sick sense of humor. Laughter's the best medicine, my friends.
