I think he's taking about Joe Brander, a close friend, who lost his battle with cancer and how he got involved with cancer charities/research. Michael has done quite a bit with Mrs. Brander over the years through the This Close for Cancer charity that was started in his friend's honor by his wife. Great cause that I know quite a few of us have supported over the years. I think he is the friend Michael is talking about in the YouTube video. I could be wrong, if I am someone please correct me. Thanks.

What a great find Robin and thank you for sharing it.

As a cancer sufferer myself, I appreciate the breakthroughs that are discovered by the research scietists in the cancer labs on an almost weekly basis.

Good on you Michael and thank you to all fund raisers worldwide.

I am sure Jennifer this one is close to your heart. I truly understand, my grandfather lost his battle with cancer and I saw what suffering he went through. It's always good to know when someone has won the battle!
I just happened to find this one!!

On the coverage today on TV there was just now one small shot of MB making a put on his last hole on TV coverage for today. He seemed happy he made the shot!!! :) He's done for the day now. He wore all black today.. Looks like all the celebrities are having a great time. See how he does tomorrow! I watched most of it and I don't think he was shown more than once. There is a section on the website you can get live updates of each player and what hole they are one as the tournament progresses. They also post the player pairings and the hole they started with and times they tee off. It's amazing to me how all these things get coordinated!

I was doing other things and for the 3 hours it was on I had it on in the background most of the time doing other stuff. MB was not mentioned till the end of his round when it ended and the put was his last hole. Since I was home today it's not a problem to watch it for him. The DVR is my back-up if I don't catch him!!LOL Glad to share! These tournaments run like clockwork. It's amazing to me how it works and stays on track!!!Robin :)

HI! I had a family reunion today!! But came home and put it on to watch it on dvr! Only one shot of MB! But he did look happy about his shot! Yeah hope it was cooler there then here!!! It reached 100 degrees!!! Black was not the thing to wear today at least here! Thanks Robin!

Yes he looked good for the short clip they showed of MB yesterday. He tees off today on the 10th hole again today at 9:30 -West coast time--according to the pairing schedule on the website. So he will finish at the 9th again today like yesterday. Broadcast time for today is same as yesterday. I hope we catch a few more shots of him playing today. I like watching some of the other celebs play too.
Looks like they all are having a fun time.
