Michael Bolton follows up his Optimum campaign with a cameo in the Starburst ads  part of a new campaign from DDB Chicago that offers theories on why the candy is so "Unexplainably juicy." In "Orchard," it's because Bolton serenades trees whose fruit then becomes extra luscious, obviously. Another spot says it has something to do with Keyboard Cat and dragon tears. The spots were directed by Andy McLeod of Rattling Stick.

Hey Petra & Sylvia, glad you enjoyed yours TREATS.....now the Big Question is, which one did you get....they have so many kinds? LOL! Which is your favorite flavor from the Orchard?

Good thing I can resist this temptation...or else I wouldn't love my job, working the Candy aisle:)!

Not too sure about your terminology Mary in saying; "what kind did you get" for surely there is only one kind but you say there are many kinds or do you mean in the way they are packed i.e. tube, packet/bag or loose ????   Here where I stay all they have is the tubes but possibly in larger towns and cities they have the different packaging because I know when they were the old Opal Fruits I used to buy them in Glasgow in the larger bags.   I have said in other post my favourite is blackcurrant;  always has been and always will be for I love blackcurrants....my favourite drink is blackcurrant and pernod or ouzo !!!! LOL

BTW I have seen the advert quite a few times but definitely it is a shorter advert they are showing here for you don't see Michael singing as long as in original.  Practically all the time when he is singing there is the talk over him not as in original where there is the short part where you hear only him singing.   Have yet to see the "Painting in the Orchard" one.

Hi Mary,

Since you are the expert do all Starburst's have that sour taste? I really don't like them much, but wondered if some flavors are more sweet?

I don't like Jolly Rancher's either as they have that sour taste!

Hey Joy, Don't try the "Sour Gummy worms" they are sooo sour...then they turn sweet, but OMG....very sour:)! LOL!

Hey ladies, They have all sorts of them....LOL...that "New" small bag of unwrapped ones is a real pain in the behind to keep standing up:)! LMBO!!! I will do more inventory on the names...but Joy...I'm sorry to say they are all SOUR:(....I don't eat them, I just put them out on the shelves!!! But I do like them:)! Now Wee One...I was referring to the Singing in the Orchard:)!

Well now Joy, I have to go see those Jellybeans...in the Easter Candy aisle!!!

Ok ladies, I did some inventory & I wrote the names all down for the lot of you:)! There is a 44oz.bag of the Original flavor.."now that's a lot of Starburst"....LOL..and they sell out quick:)! Next there is the "FlaveRed"..."Very Berry"....Tropical"....Fruity Slushy"...& of course the "MIni's IN a Bag"....and of course the small ones you get in the check out lane:)! How's that for Starburst trivia?

Don't get me going on the M&M's...they have got so many flavors in them now it's crazy...the newest is "Birthday Cake"....LOL:)!

The Pretzel ones are very good....but I don't know about the "Mint" ones or the "Raspberry" either...they don't sound very good to me:)!

Well I hope that gets you all to go out and grab a bag...:)! LMBO!

Hello Maria,

The original Starburst are to be ordered in Germany about Ebay. But there is not the Gummibursts, minis, jellybeans and candycorn here! Unfortunately! Above all, candycorns I would have tried with pleasure!
