Michael has said on Twitter today that he will be doing another update, through Pledge Music, on his new studio album this week.

Thanks for the 4-1-1 Sylvia, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Does anybody know when this new album AKA: cd is set to be released in the stores? Just wondering!!!

Mary (meg''s mom)!

Hi Mary, I'm guessing you haven't pre-ordered from PledgeMusic. To my knowledge, there is no mention of release in the stores on the site, so either it won't happen or they'll let us know in due time sweetie. When you pledge to buy the CD or download, they send it to you when it's done, so I don't know if they'll just press however many they need. I guess we'll find out soon enough.  Take care Mary. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Little bit of info and it is that a "mini campaign" has kicked off on Twitter to get Home Free and in particular, Austin Brown, to do a "Michael Bolton".  Some people are suggesting a duet so I've put in my suggestion of a duet for the new album and of course given Pledge Music a plug in my tweet and have also put a comment in Pledge Music.  Believe if Michael did do a duet with them it would be SOMETHING ELSE  ... awesome !!! :)   For those not familiar with Home Free here they are singing a song called "Cruise" and they are an archipelago group.

Hi Sylvia, thanks for the update. I wasn't familiar with Home Free so thanks for the link. They kind of sound like Straight No  Chaser, but a smaller band with a deeper base. So which one is Austin? Just wondering. I haven't checked PledgeMusic yet: did you make a song suggestion for a duet? I think the important thing would be to find a song that balances well and would make both voices shine. Keep us posted Sylvia, take care and thanks again. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Austin is the lead singer and to add that Michael replied to their tweet yesterday and he said: "Go for it!"  Here are the tweets with the one from a fan that Michael answered on:

  1. I wanna hear do some (Michael Bolton). And I'm very, very serious.

  2. I can totally jive with this. And you have to do it 3 octaves lower too.

  3. That would be AWESOME!! "Soul Provider" , "Steel Bars" or "Back On My Feet Again". Take your pick

Michael has sent below tweet which contains a Playlist he has created in Spotify on his favourite soundtracks.  As he says, this is in the theme of his new album, it is not a list of songs the album will contain and it is not specifically to do with Pledge Music.  Putting on here because a few people have said they cannot get Spotify and are wondering what is on the Playlist so, below tweet, is a list of all the songs on MB's Playlist.

In the theme of my new album, I've made a playlist of my favorite soundtracks at ... but what are yours?

Thanks so much for bringing this over Sylvia! I suppose that to see the whole thing, you have to be registered on the site. In any case, thanks again, much appreciated. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Yes Sylvie you have to have downloaded Spotify to gain access.   It is a great idea making the playlist for with Spotify it is not just the list that appears but you hear the songs and they play in rotation or you can shuffle or jump to whichever one you want to listen to.  Just a little point on the playlist is that I have put "Purple Rain" at end although it was about middle but it looked as though Michael could have added and then had change of mind but it does make up the 31.  Going to tweet him and ask if it is included as it is not showing on playlist as it should and don't want to have drawn up the list, which I know people are copying, and it shouldn't be on it......need to check !!! :)  Sorry I don't have the films they are all from for Michael has shown the albums they come from as that is what is supplied on Spotify when you chose a song so some have films against them but not all and felt to start looking for films as well as writing and then typing all that up was just a bit too much.....hope majority understand !!!

Hi Sylvia, thanks for all clarification. “Purple rain” is a great song, whether it’s on Michael’s list of faves or not. Don’t worry about the movies the songs are from: we’re all perfectly capable of looking them up if we want to know. :D I appreciate the updates Sylvia, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi!

Here is a great song that I think would be good for the new album:  Song by Johnny Mathis entitled:  "The Last Time I Felt Like This"  from the movie "Same Time Next Year"

All the best,

Luisa
