Here we go with the New 2011 Concert Tour Review Thread. Michael's tour begins again in the USA in Florida on January 13, 2011!!!!!!!!  I hope Michael is well rested and ready to get back out on the road!

 

Please share your concert experiences, pictures, video links etc. with us here. We love hearing about the concerts and the great times had by the fans.

You all have made these threads fun in the past and I look forward to more adventures and fun this year!!

I look forward to reading everyone's reviews once again and also contributing some of my own in 2011!

Uh oh...off topic traffic police are going to catch me...but here goes ;)  Actually ladies I liked Stefano's rendition. It was a younger type take on the song. Of course our Michael's version is the BEST!!!! I am ducking now....please be gentle....lol

Diane....I haven't been to Best Buy recently, but if I have a reason to go I will take a look!!  There is also a Best Buy here in Manhattan a few blocks from my office....I can take a peek there too!! 

 

Robin, I know that Michael is not treated with much respect anymore as an artist...which is so sad.  As far as these duets are concerned, I'm also not so thrilled with the people he is performing with on his new CD, since I'm not familar with some of them.  I would also like to see some top named artists (American or British) recording a song with him.   But maybe some of those top named artists have lost their "feelings" for Michael.  Also, many people in show business are two faced, and only like to "hang out" with someone when they are big and important.  Then years pass and these so call "friends", are no longer friends...or where ever really friends to begin with?!?  Lots of *** kissing going on in the world of show business and that is no secret.....

So let's wait and see what else comes up in regards to the CD....good things come to those who wait!!   :)

I agree Helena. Good ole' politics of who can get you the furthest!!! At least we dedicated fans will always be here for Michael and at his concerts!!!

I think as your last sentence says here, Helena, we need to wait and see after the album is released.  Michael chose each one of these people himself...each for his own reason.  Notice that most are all artists who are already popular in their own countries and he has seen or heard them as he has traveled.  He chose each one for a certain song..whether it be old or new for a reason and we need to wait to see what that reason is.

 

Do you remember when Santana did a duets album with up and coming artists a few years ago?  It was a tremendous hit and got a number of awards that year. So you just never  know.  I know you all feel Michael isn't as big as he used to be but he still has the respect of the music community and as we know still has a large following...you've heard that from the people singing with him now (Rascal Flatts, etc.).  I think one of the differences is the way radio works now...I don't totally understand it either but you don't hear Richard Marx, Kenny G, Barry Manilow, etc.  They just don't play this type of artist any longer unless....there is something different in what they are doing...I don't pretend to understand it myself. But I think we need to wait until the album is released and we can really judge.

Gail I think you are right, we have to wait and see and I've given up too trying to figure out Radio anymore.. I think MB is a smart guy an he knows what he's doing. This is going to be an amazing album..

Hey all, the next 2 concerts are at Hall at Casino Da Povoa, POVOA de VARZIM , Portugal.

I hope to see some reviews here after the shows.  Have a great time to those folks going!!!
