Hello all, my name is Adam. I'm 34 and from the UK. My Mum brought me up on her own and was a huge MB fan, and as a result I know all the words etc etc. I took her to see him for the first time last Saturday and it was absolutely amazing (for us both!). It is completely not my usual style of music/gig but it was an absolute privilege to see such a fantastic band, listen to great sound, see a great light show, oh, and hear him sing :-)

Hi Adam and welcome to the forum.  I’m so glad to hear both you and your mom had a great time: what a nice son you are! :D Since you seem to be new here, I just want to direct you to our tour review thread:

http://michaelbolton.com/forum/topics/welcome-everyone-to-the-2016-...

There, fans post their reviews, pictures etc, so if you’d like to share with fans, read what other people have to say and check out pictures from other venues, feel free to join. :D Thanks for sharing your good memories with your mom. BTW, may I ask what kind of music you’re into? Just curious. Take care Adam. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

I'm into electronic music. I'm a qualified sound engineer/dj etc but have a real passion for good songs and good show production. Just trying to get tickets for the Royal Albert Hall next Thursday, Mom or not :-)

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Adam

Hi again Adam, That’s the great thing about music today: you don’t have to be locked down into one category of music. You know, when you read comments on videos on YouTube, a lot of youngsters say they love Michael’s music because it’s “real music”. Wow, good luck getting RAH tickets: it’s a known fact that it's Michael’s favorite venue in the whole world. I’m geographically-challenged, but I’m under the impression it’s pretty central as a venue, because fans from all over the world flock there. I must say I’m terribly impressed you want to go again so quickly, with or without your mom. BTW, as Sylvia asked: was this your mom’s first Michael concert? In any case, if it was, chances are it’ll be the first of many. :D Keep being a good son Adam, take care and God bless. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

P.S.: You're very welcome. :D

Hi Sylvie. I've just recieved my tickets for Thursday at the RAH :-) I didn't think Mum could go but we've all shuftyed our plans so we can. Got box tickets for me and Mum at the RAH! And to answer your question it was BIC last weekend.

I have to say I'm overwhelmed at how friendly you all are! It's both lovely and refreshing!

Adam x

Hi again Adam, Michael keeps saying we're the best fans in the world, of course, because he deserves the best. :D Congratulations on your RAH tickets and all I can say is: inhale! lol You and your mom have a great time and please come back with a review. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Sylvie, hope you're well! So Mum and I went to see Michael from a box seat at the the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday. It was truly amazing. My mum said it's one thing ticked off the bucket list and I don't disagree. It was a carbon copy of the Bournemouth gig with the excpetion of Gabrielle doing a duet. The thing that was truly outstanding was the venue. I know you're geographically challenged and I honestly don't want to rub your nose in it but it was a once in a lifetime experience for both me and mum. If you get the opportunity to go to the RAH for any gig, not just Michael, I absolutely encourage you to do so. I actually felt proud of where I'm from for the first time in ages when I was in that building.

Hope you're doing well anyway. Much love from the UK. Adam

Hi again Adam, good to hear from you! I’m doing well thanks and hope you are too.  Well, according to my friend Sylvia’s review, the RAH went beyond expectations on all counts. I invite you to hop on over the link I’ve posted in my first above post. From what Sylvia said, you even got a song off the new album, you lucky ducks! Well, I’m afraid that my RAH experience will have to stick to my  “Live at the RAH” Michael DVD. Another one of my friends posted a video of the duet with Gabrielle on the tour review thread, although we’re technically not supposed to... Michael issued a statement last year that he didn’t want us posting performance videos... on the site anyway... ;D Well anyway, I’m glad you and your mom had such  a wonderful experience Adam and if you feel like sharing more on the tour thread, feel free. Hope you stick around the forum.  Take care and God bless. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Sylvie. I bought myself and my mum the RAH dvd before we went :-) My mum didn't watch it beforehand but then very nearly didn't make it! Thankfully all was well in the end. I just bought mum the Gabrielle album Now and Always: 20 Years of Dreaming just as a final keepsake :-)

Would love to stay on the forum. It's very much a guilty pleasure for me, so don't tell any of my mates :-)

Hope you continue to be well. Chat soon!

Adam

Hey Adam, good to hear from you! You should enjoy the RAH DVD if you haven’t watched it yet: the concert is terrific  and I love the interviews too.  You’re a sweet son Adam, your mom is very fortunate. :D  Hmm, so tell me the names of your mates so I make sure I don’t tell them you’re on here... ;D You know, my friend Jeremy used to feel that way, but he got interested in Michael’s early rock and roll history and started this wonderful thread:

You can find all kinds of vintage articles in there, if you’re into that sort of thing. In any case, if you need help finding something or navigating the site, let me know or just post somewhere: there’s practically always someone to help. Take care Adam. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Adam and thanks for coming in and letting us know you enjoyed concert so much and hope your mum had a fantastic time too which I bet she did if her first time seeing MB and being a fan for so long.

I was at Bournemouth as well and thought it was a wonderful, wonderful show and MB excelled....he gave it his all.

Thanks again for coming in !!! :)
