Welcome everyone to the 2014 Tour Review Thread. The upcoming year is going to be exciting with so many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!! Feel free to share the details of your concert adventures, photos, videos etc. This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and the MBC Charity Event which will most likely be held later in the year too. Michael has multiple projects in the works so we never know what will happen next!!!! I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2014 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!
I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.
Happy Concert Time in 2014 to all of you!!!

From One Bolton Fan to the next, help me spread the word so maybe my 30th birthday wish can happen. I'm writing Michael a quick note and hopefully he'll help my make 30th birthday a memorable one.
Dearest Michael:
I guess I could tell you how I began hearing you for the first time. I first heard you when I was working at Wal-Mart back in 2002. I was working in the layaway department and I heard a voice come on the radio singing the most beautiful song in the world and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I stood there in awe trying to figure out who it was so I ran over to the Electronics Department Manager because I knew she'd know who it was and I said "Laura, who is that?" and she began looking for a physical person and she said "Where?" and I said "No, on the radio. Listen." and she began to listen and then she said, "That's Michael Bolton." I looked at her and said, "Really? Okay, order every CD of his you can get ahold of. Whether it's an old CD or something new he's came out with, I want it." She said, "You're serious?" and I said "Yes, please do." so she ordered every CD she could get ahold of and I started my collection thanks to her. Then back in I think 2011 or 2012 you came over to Madisonville, KY to play at Glema Mahr Center for the Arts and I was sooo excited until I found out that you were going to be singing pretty close to Christmas. Like I've said before in the tweet I sent you that night, being a single parent, it was either spend the money on myself or spend the money on him to get Christmas and naturally, he always wins :) Yes, it killed my soul because I wanted to watch but that tweet I received from you made it all better *which I pack in my wallet to this day* Then, I learned you were going to be in Bowling Green, KY signing your new book. I thought "Oh man, chance number 2 to meet him." So I ordered the book and had it rush shipped to my house. In the meantime, I had talked to my cousin and asked her to take me to BG. I knew how to get there but not to get around BG well enough to know where I was going. The day of your book signing, the book arrived at lunch. But to my disappointment, my cousin told me she couldn't go and started making up a million and one excuses and I found out she ended up going on a date with her now boyfriend to a steakhouse instead of going with me knowing how bad I wanted to go. I guess I can't blame her, if I could get a date I'd go to but I would've been honest about it instead of making up excuses but that's here nor there. Then November 2013, the same Electronics Manager who ordered my CDs for me stopped me in Wal-Mart and said "Joy, I've got to tell you something. Michael is going to be in Paducah singing." When I asked what day and she told me, I said "Not again!" and she said "What is it?" and I explained about it being right after Thanksgiving and spending the money on my son for his Christmas. I thanked her for telling me about it and she said "Maybe next year will be your year." My 30th birthday is May 20th and you'll be playing a concert in Southend Cliffs Pavilion in the UK. I know people are doing YouTube videos asking for dates to prom *which I'm obviously too old for lol* or a video saying "Hey, let me take you to Applebees for a date!" and having great success but I'm simply asking for this. On May 20th, could one of your staff record you singing my favorite song ever "When A Man Loves A Woman." and then post it on your official Facebook page for me to watch? My son would love it too, I also have him hooked on hearing you. So much that last night we were watching Sister Act 2 and at the end, the cast is singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and he looked at me and said "Moma, where is Michael Bolton?" And my parents and myself were so tickled. I absolutely love you to the moon and back and your music too :) and that would definitely make my 30th! Please please please, help a die hard fan who has been trying for over 2 years to see you make my 30th special by just seeing you sing that one song.
With all my love and best wishes,
Joy
Hi Joy B and thanks for sharing your story again. Michael doesn't really read this forum sweetie and quite frankly, not sure how much he reads on FB either. Some fans have been known to get birthday tweets from Michael and to be honest, unless you'd have a friend at the May 20th concert, in my opinion, that's pretty much what you can realistically hope for. I could be wrong and all I can do is wish you luck sweetie, take care Joy. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
I do have a friend that lives in Germany but she doesn't know who Michael Bolton is unfortunately :( And I don't know anyone in the UK at all. I'm going to pray extremely hard for it. Or that he at least makes it around Western KY again this year so maybe I can go watch him in person :) It's like I told Robin, maybe Gail can get it to him and he can get a kick out of the "I'm not asking for a YouTube date" thing :) Although I seriously would do that too if I knew it'd work lol
Thanks girls for all videos & photos. Joy, where there's life, there's hope. Copy&paste it & send it to Gail. Right?
I don't know how to help you Joy, but I loved your message to Michael. What was the song that totally boltonized you back in 2002? You didn't tell us. Wow! Loved your experience&what a way to celebrate your mild stone @ 30 5/20/14. Woo Hoo. Praying for you. Perhaps Gail or someone could help you with that.
I heard "Only A Woman Like You." That is what stopped me dead in my tracks :) Glad it did because I've been hooked ever since. Praying that maybe Gail can get it to him and he can at least read it lol. Maybe he might get a kick out of the whole "I'm not asking for a YouTube date" thing lol ;-)

Welcome Jens. THANKS so much for posting the set list. I like that both of the gals are doing medley's of MB's hits and both doing duets like that! How cool is that. I notice he didn't open with Soul Provider, that one I always love as an opener when he does it. I hope you had a wonderful time!!!

Hey Kathy, I think just Amanda does Missing You Now as part of her medley of his hits. I wish MB would do that one too himself!!!. OMG I love Missing You Now also. That video was one of the first I saw and fell in love with.I hope they do this when my show comes around end of May. Cool! I love Kelly's medley's too, she kills it!

Hi Jens and welcome to the forum. Thank you very much for the setlist and glad to hear you thought it was amazing! Was this your first concert? Can you tell us more about the show like: how did Michael sound, was the audience quiet or vocal, did he sing your favourite song and did you have a special moment during the concert? Also, did Michael say you could take all the pictures your wanted? I'm guessing the Amanda Brown medley was TWLIAA/Missing you now/Back on my feet again. I don't know what I'd give to hear Michael sing that last one live... In any case, thanks very much for coming in and sharing the setlist Jens, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada
