Welcome everyone to the 2014 Tour Review Thread.  The upcoming year is going to be exciting with so many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!! Feel free to share the details of your concert adventures, photos, videos etc.  This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and the MBC Charity Event which will most likely be held later in the year too. Michael has multiple projects in the works so we never know what will happen next!!!! I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2014 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Happy Concert Time in 2014 to all of you!!!

Hi Sylvia, I know Im about a week or so late, but your description of the Pirate Ship was exactly 100% in precision.  The Pirate Ship was actually a Piñata very lightweight, that I purchased in a party store, where I had bought other party fixins, such as Pirate napkins, plates, cups, etc….  I brought to Atlanta, and had all the girls there help me design it.  Lynn brought the photo screen shot from the actual video where MB kisses the Seagull in the video.  We then filled the vessel with Hershey kisses, and M&M peanuts, which were individually packed.  The tea lights were also attached so it could light the way, for the stage when the lights went down. Surprisingly, as I finally got to the Meet & Greet room, Im guessing adjacent to the dressing rooms, I saw the pirate ship there and I was pleased to see that those who were there, were talking about it and enjoying it.  It was a great first meet and greet for me, I think my meeting him out and about throughout my concert yrs, were more personable, Needless to say, I was a little nervous at the M&G and not a real good memory of what all was said. lol, Still waiting to see our photographs from the venue.

Hey Karen! Thanks for coming back in and giving us more details on the ship. You all are so creative and it's adorable...I love it and obviously MB did too!!! LOL.

Hopefully you will be getting your photos soon and the memories will all come right back!  LOL

Thanks again!!

Hey Karen, ditto to what Robin said, thanks for sharing your special time sweetie, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Oh, Karen, Loved the description of the ship. Honey, I felt like I was there. Now. How cool is that? I loved all the attention that you got & it is well deserved girl. Wow!

I don't know about being 100% right Karen for really I don't think my description merits that percentage !!! lol    Thanks a million for coming back in and telling us more about that Pirate Ship....thanks !!! :)   I have to say, in my defence, that I don't know what Hershey kisses look like as we don't get Hershey sweets/candies over here or, at least, I have never seen !!! LOL

Know exactly what you mean about meeting and believe that word could be changed to "fleeting" because it goes that fast ....a blur develops.   Next time you meet him Karen it will be different and I'm pretty sure you'll have another opportunity and soon too...I hope so !!! :)

Sylvia. Your wee Scottish friend.

Great concert last night! Here is the pirate ship on our table. The ship is actually a piñata. It was a great idea Karen had and we had so much fun making it special by adding our little touches. He looked great and sounded wonderful. The venue was beautiful, outdoors but with one major issue. LOTS of steps and no ramp to haul all this stuff down. So we made lots of trips up and down and used muscles we didn't know we had to haul the coolers full of ice and drinks down. It was all worth it though! Of course! It was very warm, but we came prepared with fans :). He came on pretty much on time, I am terrible about remembering songs but I can tell you what he didn't do. No Nessun Dorma, Rock Me :( or Capt Jack. Very hard to get up to the stage because of the setup and there was a concrete slope right in front. Of course we stood on the slope and danced anyway! Can't get us down! Karen was able to hand him a rose during WAMLAW as we were able to predict where he would be coming out and positioned ourselves accordingly lol. The crowd loved him, and he got several standing ovations. Of course he ended with Georgia and the crowd went crazy. Spoke with the band, Jason and Drew talked with us for quite a while and assured us MB wouldn't think about retiring any time soon :) Not that we thought so! Looking forward to our next adventure, hope to hear lots more announcements coming soon.

Lynn

Thanks for sharing Lynn. Cool photo, so I take it the pirate ship was the center of your theme for your table. I am sure MB loved it looking out seeing you all.(Obviously he liked it alot with him taking a pic with it backstage after the show!!).LOL How cool is that! Gail already has it on the blog here.  Bummer about not getting right to the stage and the steps but BB's do what we gotta do!!LOL I had hoped he would sing Jack Sparrow for you all and you would get Rock Me as part of the encore but as he always does Georgia when he is there that makes sense. So glad you all got to chat with the band..Glad to hear MB is not retiring any time soon..I did not think so but good to hear!! :):)

I hope Karen and any of the other ladies will come in and share anything they want to add as well.  Sounds like a rockin fun night was had by all of you!!! Great way to celebrate two birthdays as was posted on Twitter!!!

Thanks for sharing Lynn.

I'm sure the other girls will put their 2 cents worth in lol. But since I only had  a 30 minute trip home I was able to post pretty quickly. The others will prob post over the next couple of days. I think it was so hot they pretty much kept the concert to the basics. Understandable for sure. We were hot and I know they were melting. Both Jason and Drew said they were lightheaded on stage at one point. What our special guy and the band do for us :) We appreciate it for sure tho!!

Lynn

Oh my I wondered how hot it was.. I would have melted myself..Whew...Yes what they do for the fans!! :):)

Thanks Lynn!

A wonderful idea of You, a wonderful gesture!

Thank you for your concert description, Lynn! I think no matter what Michael sings, it is always an experience. Although perhaps their own favorite song is missing!

Also thanks for the nice photo. Who's who? Are you all in this forum?

Petra (Germany)

Always fun to share these experiences! Left to right Terry, Leesa, Annette, Karen and me. I think everyone is here...not 100% on that tho. Glad you enjoyed!

Lynn
