¡¡ I have a great desire to hear his voice and see their beautiful blue eyes which are like the sea to me, and that will be the happiest day of my life, I do not lose the hope.!!!
¡ I wish you all the success that you always deserve !
Hi Ali and WELCOME to the forum and you are right about time of year and it was in 2010 and a lot of the girls didn't manage to get to different venues because of being snowed in and thank goodness he made it May this year because it may have been a case of a lot more not being able to go if it had been earlier with all the flooding we had everywhere.
Hope you have a fantastic concert on Sunday and please come back and let us know how it went !!! :)
Sylvia. Your wee Scottish friend.
Hi Ali, the snowed-in concert in Sheffield was December 3 2010, I found it on an old tour list. I'm glad you were able to find a driveable concert location none the less, have a fabulous time! Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
Hi Folks and here I am eventually with my review which I definitely have to write tonight because tomorrow apart from going back up the road, got to see about a few things and a few family messages for will let you know first of all because I have mentioned him on here and some of you have responded to my comments and gotten to know who I'm talking about but my cousin, Tom, who I visited in the care home, died yesterday and I just found out before I went to concert tonight. In amongst the laughter there are always tears, for such is life !!!!
Now onto my review and the show was another belter....absolutely fantastic !!!! :) Set list was exactly the same EXCEPT Michael included "Soul Provider" and put it in the encore. During the show there was a lot of calling out to him and it was really funny for he was not picking up the accent and they were shouting out about sitting on his knee and he was saying sitting on my what ????? Of course that got some bawdy responses and then just as he was going to sing "Nessun Dorma" somebody shouted out "Nessun Dorma" but he stopped and said: "what ??" so of course it was shouted out again and then Michael says: "was that shut the door !!!" OMG father's I nearly went into a fit of giggles and just managed to stop myself in time. Also too there was plenty of laughter and suggestive laughs when Michael mentioned Bristol and someone did shout out something but even I didn't catch it but the audience did and so I presume it was in connection with a term we have here in the UK, which I don't think Michael knows about, for if you add an "s" to Bristol they are a certain part of a woman's anatomy so plenty of laughter in audience on that. Then of course there was all the shout outs for the different songs so I couldn't help myself and shouted for "Soul Provider" and said for him to get it back in the set list and then at the encore when he said this was a song that had been requested and the first few bars started I literally thought my heart was going to stop and truly, for about a second, I thought I was listening to the CD in my car, then I came back to reality and realized he was actually singing it OMG my heart bounced down into my stomach region and back up again. Obviously have to say, as I think anyone would, I should love to think he put it in because I shouted out but I have tweeted him about it and as I said, no matter what, it was fantastic to hear and thanked him for singing it. OMG it was fantastic and no wonder you "old timers" at concerts love to hear it....no wonder, for heart and soul still goes into that one as with all the others too but you know what I mean !!! :) "The Prayer"...well, him and Kelly they took that to heaven tonight and as for "Nessun Dorma" OMG I had goosebumps everywhere and of course two standing ovations which were more than deserved.
BTW should mention that Carol Vorderman was at the show tonight and that is our TV personality who was on the panel when Michael did "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" programme and she was sitting front row centre. My seat worked fantastically well and in some respects I almost felt closer to him than I had in Cardiff in the front row because talking to girl beside me and she said what they do there for those type of shows is they put in two front rows to stop people going and standing at stage so I basically was in the first official row although the third one and I would say it was closer than in Cardiff. The stage was higher and therefore I was even slightly looking up to him so I was glad I wasn't in the first two rows.....I'm too darn wee !!! LOL
Once again once "WAMLAW" started they all got up and then about half sat back down when it was finished but thank goodness a lot of us stayed standing and those that sat down had to stand back up again and it wasn't until he sang "Georgia" that some sat down.....I didn't !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
At end of show I went to merchandise table and spoke with Kelly and then with Joe and I had gone to table when I got into theatre and showed him I was wearing t-shirt and he was saying fantastic and giving me a high five and I saw a lot of people looking at it and when I sat down a girl behind me said "hello" which I had asked for anyone to do on my FB page who saw me at show and of course she saw t-shirt and if that girl is on here I apologize for not catching your name for I have been having the same trouble as Michael with accents....I am sorry but I thank you very much indeed for saying "hello" and hope you had a wonderful, wonderful concert. When crowd had thinned a little at table I went to talk to Joe because I had something to ask him and then I slipped in about that photo he promised me and he said got it here and he pulled it out from under table and slid it across face down to me so that no one else would see and it is a beautiful press release photo and Michael has signed it with a silver sharpie....sorry folks but that is another one to get framed .........LOL Think I need to build an extension onto my house for you know how people have conservatories, music rooms, games rooms well I need a photo room, so there !!!!!!!!! LOL Pretty sure I will find a wee space for it....LOL
After having left theatre I decided to go by stage door but nothing happening so I waited a little while and then started to feel daft so I walked back down road where tour bus had been and there it was again but not a lot happening and then I started to see people leaving theatre who had obviously had VIP packages and had met Michael and I decided to have one last walk up to stage door and see what was going on and just as I turned to start going up hill here the bus started up and it went up same hill I was going and it stopped outside stage door and the crew were out and they loaded the trailer with all equipment and I spoke to the fellow who works on stage with Milo on the sound...I don't know his name but he has been with Michael for a while and he is not one of the right oldies because he is too young but I have seen pictures of him when they have been out to dinner etc apart from obviously seeing him in Cardiff and Wolverhampton so it was nice talking to him and then they were loading up equipment as I say and I nearly asked about Michael but thought no I had better get down the road so I just started to make my way back down the hill and who walks across my path going by front of Hall toward where the bus had been and also too, once loaded, where the back road would bring it out again, was Drew and when I called on him he stopped and appeared to recognize me because he went "Oh, hi !!" and came toward me smiling (boy didn't I feel good...OMG the ego took a direct hit !!! LOL) so shook his hand and gave him a huge hug again and then just as I was doing that I spotted Ryan and he was kind of walking away because you know the scenario of keeping moving on when someone you are with sees someone they know but you don't and that was what it was like so I called on him and went to him and gave him a huge hug and thanked him for show Just as I stopped hugging Ryan and thanking him for wonderful show this other person passed by and suddenly I realized who it was ....OMG....Drew and Ryan, sorry guys you were well out the picture, for it was Jason and oh holy molly...did he get a hug or DID HE GET A HUG....LOL It was fantastic and we actually stood and spoke for quite a while and then he said about taking a picture if I wanted because he was okay with so then I had to admit that the battery had run out on my camera for I had taken so many darn pictures yesterday and forgot to recharge the batteries and I can tell you during show I nearly screamed when it went....I have managed to get some pictures but not what I would have liked for being so close, but, can't have everything can you. What Jason suggested was that he take a picture and then he would e-mail to me so you may all see Twitter where I have tweeted JP because he sent the picture by e-mail when I was standing beside him but when I got in there was no e-mail from Jason and I sat and thought about it and thought but I saw him send, it wasn't that he said he was going to and didn't and then the penny dropped......I went back over what I had said to him and I gave him wrong e-mail address for in a part of mine there is a dot and I had missed out the dot when I was telling Jason what it was and the picture he took was great BUT thank goodness I decided as well to try and get a selfie of us so I had got my camera out and attempted to take one but as soon as I had the camera went dead again so I didn't know until I got to hotel if photo had turned out at all and here it has and for the way I took it someone again was looking after me because remember I have a camera not a phone so when I take a selfie, unless in a mirror, I don't see what I am taking until I have done and the way I have managed to get the two of us in this picture I cannot believe it and for proof here it is:
Here is one more picture and it is of Michael from tonight and I will add what I have taken to album later on:
Now onto Glasgow and I don't believe that dear sweet, green city will ever be the same again once Kathy Rosario and I hit it !!!!!!!!!!! ROFL Goodnight folks !!!!! :)
