Welcome everyone to the 2017 Tour Review Thread!   The upcoming year is going to be exciting with concerts scheduled already for 2017!!  MB has some USA shows starting off the year in January and more shows through early April so far and I’m sure many more to come around the globe as the year unfolds!  Also exciting for 2017 is the February 10th release of Songs of Cinema and I am betting a few more songs from the CD will make it in the tour setlist!  Woo Hoo!  This is the best time to be a fan with MB’s concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2017 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Let the year long concert party begin and I wish concerts for all of you in 2017!! I know many fans are on other social media sites but I do hope we can continue with the exciting tour reviews here in 2017!  You all make the thread fun.

Happy Concert Time again in 2017!!

Hi Thresa and sorry but have just seen your post for haven't been getting notifications from site but hope can go someway to answering your question.

Have to admit not 100% sure on what you mean by "current place to blog" !!  You can go into any of the threads/pages like this one and put in relevant comments etc. if that is what you are thinking of and meaning by "blog" ??  If you mean to place a comment on the blogs which Gail adds to the main page from Michael then you go onto whatever one it is you want to comment on in the main page.  The only other place for blogs is on your own personal page where you can add a blog but you have to be in that page to add it. Just to say no one sees blogs on personal pages unless you let people know you have posted one for there are no notifications released by the site for such blogs.

Hope that helps and hope I've covered what you were referring to but if not please ask again or if anyone else has a clearer understanding of what Thresa is asking then please consider answering because that is all I know and am aware about with blogs but obviously there might be more.

CARMEL, INDIANA

Hi all, My hubby and I got home late last night from the trip to Carmel, IN to see MB!  It was a great trip, even in frigid cold temperatures.  It was minus 2 degrees the morning of the concert.. and that night very cold as well. MB even commented on the cold on stage. LOL

The show was wonderful as usual, we had front row seats just off of center stage too the right this time.  MB was in a great mood and still wearing the velvet jacket with the white dress shirt.. This venue is very pretty and they do different lighting during the show so I think my pics show the jacket better than other venues when the background is mostly black.. MB saw us when he came out and after he sang Stand By Me he looked down when I waved and said Hello Robin.  He joked with the audience a lot about his age and different songs.  He did HAISLWY and said how that was a sad song. Then later after Ain't No Mountain said it was a happy song. I said it was a get up and dance song. He agreed and said he didn't mind that but do it at the stage and the joke  about having people on stage dancing once and it didn't work that well. LOL

After he got back on stage after WAMLAW in the audience, he did How Can We Be Lovers and we were sitting literally at the stage it's so close and a low stage too, we had to chair dance as the folks were not getting up. Which is OK.. At the end of that one I gave him a card for New Years.  I wished him Happy New Year once too and he said it back and smiled.   He then did Steel Bars and went off stage.  We got Georgia and Soul Provider for the encore and thankfully everyone stood and it was so nice standing there at the stage and leaning on it watching him sing only a few feet in front of me for SP..I needed that..LOL  Nothing better.  Also during JP's set when MB is off changing to go into the audience JP came over to me and took my hand and he's never done that before.. He is so sweet.  He usually points and mugs it up for my camera which he also did.. Gotta love JP. Jeff enjoyed hearing him play again and watching Nelson, he is a fan of bass guitar players.  He enjoyed it all actually.  He got a kick out of MB teasing me and all...LOL

After the show I was able to get a photo I took there 2 years ago signed by MB backstage.I was able to wait at the stage and sweet Evan handed me a set list again too for the collection! LOL   MB wrote the message To Robin, Happy New Year 2018 Love Michael B!  He liked the photo I was told too. I caught a few shots similar this time and hope they are as good.  He also one time mugged right into my camera when he came back to front center stage during HCWBL! LOL  He did that to another lady too during Soul Provider.. He was in a funny/happy mood all night and waved to people way up high in the venue too.    There was a lady there also getting a photo signed after the show that was taken back in the 1980's of her with MB I'd say during The Hunger Era.  It was a cool photo and she was thrilled he signed it. I was happy for her.

Jeff and I said hi to Ashley at the stage too as she was taking her mic back to the tech after the show. I think this time I caught a few cute shots of her at this one..

My run of 4 shows in December were all fun and unique...MB is the best and I'm grateful after the rough year I've had with my back and family matters with the loss of Jeff's father to have had these shows...I had 6 this year total and I am grateful for them all.

Oh, Robin. Loved your review girl. I would have love to have touch that velvet jacket. Did he do OTR&R? Neat the contact verbally you had with MB. Thanks. Wonder if folks went to the one tonight. Once again, Thanks for your review and awesome about pictures.

Thanks Robin.. I never touched the jacket but it was gorgeous!!  No OTR&R this time.
