Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval.
I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like.
Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year.
1- I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me.
For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US.
Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope).
2- Another option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture.
When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us.
3- you can also. Send me your note via snail mail and I’ll put it in a card for you. I’m open to suggests and will do what I can to make this easy for us both.
Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65!
Looking forward to hearing from you, Sally

Hi Judy, How are you girl? I heard Michael's coming to Bethesda sometime next year. if so, hope you can make it. I know if I were still in Baltimore, I'd try to go. Hope you're well. I'm not doing bad for 64. I have the asthma&the arthritis in my left hand but, girl, I still keep busy though retired. Take care. Just wanted to say hi.

Hi Judy, it's been quite a while. Hope you're well. I'm not doing bad @ all despite losses I've had. Did you get to see Michael 6/11/12 when he was in DC. I didn't, of course. Hope you're doing ok. Are you still working or retired? As you know I'm retired 5&a half years now. I'm loving it. Merry Christmas girl&happy new year. :))))

Judy,

I heard Michael was suppose to come to National Harbor MD 6/18/11&now, it's cancelled. Were you gonna go?

Of course, I'm not in CA. How are you? I'm good.

Judy,

So, you're retiring. Awesome. I did 6/.8/04&moved out here. I'm 61 now&you? Now, if you'd rather not divulge, I'm cool with it.

I've had a lot of problems with my hands that I'm leary of going back to work fearing carpel tunnel syndrome coming back asI've had bones removed from the base of my thumbs due to arthritis. I do collect retirement&to be honest, SSDI.

Also, I remember our chat on the train. I'll never forget it as long as I live.

Neat you're in the DC/VA area still. I moved out here 6/19/07. My sister&her husband moved out here in 2003 as he's originally from Riverside CA. it's a long story as to how they met&all.

Love it out here. It has tremendously improved my asthma. Still have it but I'm much better out here. I miss everyone.

happy Holidays.

Robin

Hi Judy and thank you so much for your response! OMG, all I remembered is that it was a Judy that wrote the article but Robin jogged my memory. I remember it being in the first newsletter I ever got in 2000 and your story just touched me. I’ve written 4 articles for the on-line updates myself. It’s a long story but I got in touch with Robin through Gail and asked her if she was that Robin and she said she was. I have a fabulous memory! Lol Robin was able to get in touch with you because I’ve sent her your page. We’re both blind, but I seem to have a bit more ease when it comes to navigating this site so I help her as much as I can. I feel it’s really too bad that some of the “old” fans don’t post more, I think they mostly lurk. Lol I had to laugh when you said you loved being in the midst of MB fanatics… When I first found the old “Michael’s place” message board, I thought I’d found my home planet! Lol I went to the fan reception twice and will never forget the wonderful experience. Oh Judy, since it’s one of mine and Robin’s problems, would you add us as friends? Our screen-reader program doesn’t always cooperate with changing messages, dialog boxes etc, so it’s a bit hard for us to invite friends. Although I can’t complain with the amount I have now can I? :D Take care sweetie, Robin will be thrilled to hear from you! I’ll look forward to chat with you more. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Judy. If you're the one who lives in Virginia, I may have met you. Remember if I'm right that we met at the train tracks going from Stamford Connecticut to Baltimore&you went on to D. C. If I'm right, I asked you if you by any chance was at the Michael Bolton gala&I think it was in 1999 or 2000. I remember the conversations we had on the train&once I broke down listening to one of Michael's arias&you were so comforting. Then, in one of the fan club newsletters, you wrote a story about me. If I'm right,&I hope I am, I no longer live in Baltimore. I moved to L. A. CA 3 years ago. Hope to hear from you.

Hi Judy, I’m trying to help my friend Robin who I think would like to get in touch with you, but doesn’t know her way around the forum yet. She’s a blind Bolton bud from CA but used to live in MD. She’s just trying to find out if you used to live in DC. Come to think of it, I was wondering myself if you weren’t the Judy who wrote an article in the old “Bolton Bulletin” around 2000-01 and mentioned my friend Robin in it. Funny enough, that’s how I first heard of her… Anyway, I realize that you may not visit your page often but that’s fine, respond when you can. Thanks for your time Judy, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
