October marks domestic violence awareness month. Being a father of three daughters gives me great empathy for the safety of women and children. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will be a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime, and more than 3 million children witness domestic violence at home every year. Men, including fathers and sons, must be part of the solution. I started my own foundation The Michael Bolton Charities, Inc.to further this mission and I challenge all men to join me in taking Safe Horizon’s #PutTheNailinItvow.
Please take the vow: http://www.putthenailinit.org/

Hi Judy...I just wanted to say that I think we might have had similar experiences. I learned to forgive my parents when I found out what they had lived as children. It helped me accept who I was. I admire Michael Bolton for trying to stop this terrible scourge that destroys families. In today's world there is help for women, children and even men. Thank God for Michael and people who try to help the people caught in that trap. Sincerely, Paulette Cunningham
Good you are taking a stand on domestic violence. My Dad was rough on me growing up. He changed his ways but it was hard to completely trust him. He is in heaven now and I'm grateful for that. It was hard to forgive him but I will never forget. It taught me a lot through the years.
HI Michael,
I'm writing this time, to thank you for all you do for breast cancer awareness which also is in October. Along with domestic violence Awareness As you remember domestic violence affects me as well beast cancer dose in my family as well. my great grandmother past away of it and though was abusive to me, my mom has had it as well .She has been treated successfully, Thank you, for it all Michael. It's just one of many reasons why YOU are so special to me.
Much Love to you,
MaryLynn
Hi Michael....I forgot to tell what real happiness comes from stepping out of Domestic Abuse. After 2 years of therapy I met a wonderful man through a close friend. We joke and call it the 27 yr. blind date but it's a wonderful, beautiful marriage and we've been together for 27 yrs. I have four adult children and eight grandchildren. There is happiness when a woman is on the right track. My husband has always treated me with love and respect. He was brought up with his parents teaching him that you treat people with respect and compassion. It can be scary to leave what you know, just violence but if you leave and get help, the happiness will be your gift. I do plan to take the pledge and wear the purple nail because this cause of Michael Bolton's can be a matter of life and death. Sincerely,Paulette Cunningham
For All you do Michael, to help get the message out, Thank You!!!
Mary (meg's mom)!

See You at The Golden Nugget..12/3/16
I want to thank you Michael, for all you, yourself do to support awareness of domestic violence both professionally and personally to bring attention and awareness to the on going issue of domestic violence. Not just during this month, but all year long. Your concern of this topic means so much to me, personally. With your and others bringing domestic violence to the front of peoples minds maybe one day, this world won't have the need to be reminded that there is such a need for a Domestic Violence Awareness Month to remind us that such a things exist in the world. Thank You, to you Michael especial and all who support this cause.
with much love,
MaryLynn
Fantastic message Michael for Thunderclap yesterday and a terrific challenge to hand out to all men. All of us need to take a stand and somehow, somewhere, sometime domestic violence, from both sexes, needs to be landed a blow; the only blow allowed of obliteration from mankind.
