Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval. I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like. Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year. I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me. For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US. Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture. When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us. It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael. My eldest daughter is getting married in the fall and the cherry on top: my MB concert has been rescheduled for March! Hi Thresa, I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble with the site. I know it’s frustrating when it doesn’t cooperate. On “comment walls”, I think you can fit about 2000 characters and about 4000 in PM’s, which are the ones you write when you click on “send a message”. To get a start on browsing the forum, first go to the main page, check where it says “forum”, there are 2 links there: 1 link says: “add a discussion” and the other says: “view all”, click on "view all". This will take you to the list of topics like “general chat”, “tours, gigs and announcements”, “The music” etc. Then click for instance on “general chat” which will take you to the page with a list of discussion threads. The most popular ones are the top ones on the page, which you should be able to tell by the date of the last reply. So to keep it simple at first, you might want to stick to the first page of thread titles. Then you might want to explore the “tour, gigs...” topic so you click on it and you have a list of thread titles on there too and so on. I suggest you take it one step at a time and if you have any questions, can’t find where you were or searching for something specific, leave me a message and I’ll do my best to help you. :D I know my way around so I like to help. Aside from that, I hope everything is going well for you and your family Thresa. BTW, I hope you’ve been able to read Michael’s book! Hi Thresa, thanks for saying I'm a special person. I have to be reminded. I sometimes have the tendency toput myself down. Michae&I couldn't speak as he was performing but yes, he did hold my hand 3 times as I gave him a gift the first time--2 pictures of me in a double picture frame&a note written to him in Braille&print. The Braille card is a clear-view card so he could read it in print. I'm not putting it out on the forum.I've been doing this rodio 19 years. The first time I saw Michael in concert was 8/12/92. If Michael's dating, I'm unaware of it but who amI, right? :) Yeah, Delta Goodrem sang with him in Henderson, NV. He's just an awesome person. Have you met Michael? I forget. he's such a kind person. Honey, he was awesome. He did 5 songs from the new CD, one from One World One love, one from Sinatra&2 from Vintage as well as the other awesome songs. I gave him a gift. It's 2 pictures of me with Michael on one side of the picture frame. I wrote him a message in Braille as well as in print. The card with the Braille is clear so, he'd be able to read the print behind it on another card. I held his hand 3 times&he kissed my hand. I didn't put it out on the forum. I'm snhy to mention it since the incident 6/8/11. I cried when he&Delta did "Make me feel your Love" or whatever the title is. I'm not popular out there like Kathy, Sylvie, Ashley&tom. People don't comment on my reviews much. Oh! well! it was awesome. did you suffer from Irene&feel the earthquake? God be with you with your loss. xox
