Hi Thresa, in case you haven't heard, this site will be taken down in the near future and there will be no forum or member exchange on the new one. I just wanted to say that you've been a sweet and faithful friend and wanted to thank you for it. I will miss this site and all my friends. I'm still not on Facebook and will resist as long as I can. I just wanted to write a last message, because I don't know when they'll take it down. Take good care of yourself and your family sweetie and God bless. Sending big warm bear hugs, sincerely,, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval. I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like. Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year. I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me. For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US. Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture. When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us. It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael. Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65! Looking forward to hearing from you, Sally
Hi Thresa, good to hear from you sweetie. :D I'm sorry I haven't been in touch lately. I've had a lot going on since last fall and haven't felt terribly social. I'm starting again to reply to longer messages, but I have a lot to catch up on. Glad you're still enjoying the music! Take care Thresa and hope to write soon. Big hugss, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hello Thresa. As of right now Michael doesn't have any confirmed dates until January. If you check the main page on this website...www.michaelbolton.com you will see his news updates that show when you open it. These are his updates and his pictures to his fans. You can also check his facebook at www.facebook.com/mgbings or his twitter at www.twitter.com/mbsings. He updates these as well. Thanks!! Good to hear from you.
Thresa, so good to hear from you! Thanks for your message. This year has been emotionally jammed-packed, but it's all good! I actually hope to get even busier, with my granddaughter as much as I can. My eldest daughter is getting married in the fall and the cherry on top: my MB concert has been rescheduled for March! It's a nice way to spread out the joy... :D I hope all is well with you and your family sweetie and please write more when you have time. Thanks again for your message, take care Thresa. Big hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie :D
Hi Thresa, Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. I'm doing pretty good. I won't be able to see Michael @ the Grammie museum Monday as I already have out-of-town plans. These plans were made a couple months beforehand. There's gonna be a lot of people & it's a black tie event & I don't have a gown--a gown that doesn't fit me. You take care & enjoy your holidays. Thanks for your message.H
Hi Thresa, I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble with the site. I know it’s frustrating when it doesn’t cooperate. On “comment walls”, I think you can fit about 2000 characters and about 4000 in PM’s, which are the ones you write when you click on “send a message”. To get a start on browsing the forum, first go to the main page, check where it says “forum”, there are 2 links there: 1 link says: “add a discussion” and the other says: “view all”, click on "view all". This will take you to the list of topics like “general chat”, “tours, gigs and announcements”, “The music” etc. Then click for instance on “general chat” which will take you to the page with a list of discussion threads. The most popular ones are the top ones on the page, which you should be able to tell by the date of the last reply. So to keep it simple at first, you might want to stick to the first page of thread titles. Then you might want to explore the “tour, gigs...” topic so you click on it and you have a list of thread titles on there too and so on. I suggest you take it one step at a time and if you have any questions, can’t find where you were or searching for something specific, leave me a message and I’ll do my best to help you. :D I know my way around so I like to help. Aside from that, I hope everything is going well for you and your family Thresa. BTW, I hope you’ve been able to read Michael’s book! I listened to mine back in March and I want to read it again to take notes, which is not a bad way to spend a couple of days, listening to Michael talk... :D Anyway, take care Thresa, break a leg with the forum and if you hit a snag, I’m here. Take care sweetie. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
Hi Thresa, I like what you wrote. I'm still learning this forum so, when you have the chance, should you get this message, let me know, ok? Hope you'll get to see Michael next year. :)))) He was awesome in Anaheim. Got to hold his hand.
OMG Thresa, so good to hear from you! Wow, you’d like to have my tech skills? It just comes from lots of time on my hands! Lol Yes, I hear the forum looks beautiful. In the past year, I’ve started my very first discussion thread and 2 blogs! Thresa, if you have a few minutes to spare, go to the bottom of my profile page and click on “My creations” blog. I’ve posted pictures of my art work, mostly music boxes I make, but a few other things too. I’m sorry sweetie, I’m not on facebook at all. I’m having enough trouble keeping up with this site and I know I couldn’t keep up with everyone I’d like to stay in touch with, on FB, that’s why I never registered. Speaking of FB, I’m sure you’d be able to post a comment for Michael’s birthday. :D Thresa, it’s a shame you haven’t been able to stay in touch here: fans are putting a wall-hanging together for Michael, sending fabric squares with their names and location on them and my friend Amie will sew them all together, to give to Michael on his birthday! :D I’m sorry if life is getting you down and you feel old sweetie. Hey, I understand lurking: many busy people do. We all support Michael as we can. Have you pre-ordered either Michael’s book or CD sweetie? I’m getting both the hard cover and audio version read by him and can’t wait. It seems we’ve been waiting forever for his CD: lots of good stuff ahead! Well Thresa, this was a very pleasant surprise: I hope you stop by more often so we can chat! Take good care of yourself my friend. Big hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie <3
HiThresa, so good to hear from you sweetie! Oh I’m so sorry to hear you need an operation, but I wish you the best so you can come back soon, I miss you: it’s been so long! :D Well I don’t know how the weather is in AR this time of year, but if you don’t need warmth, I’m sending you a little comfort:
Hey Thresa, do you know that just reading your name in my E-mail alerts puts a smile on my face? :D I read your concerns on the latest blog and hope Gail put your fears to rest. I know you must be pretty busy and might just be lerking on the site, but do hope you're keeping up with the news. Take good care of yourself sweetie and hope to hear from you sometime. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi again Thresa, so good to hear from you sweetie! Well I can imagine what it’s like trying to juggle work and family so I didn’t press you for the rest of your November concert experience, but it’ll be welcome when you have time. I did archive your other messages… :D Wow, you’ve been busy! Oh I’m glad you were able to visit your granddaughter! Oh my goodness, twins? How exciting! Wow, I hadn’t realized your 2 kids were so far apart in age. Aww, Page must be excited to be an auntie of twins too! Seeing the ultrasound must have been so very special to her… Your daughter-in-law must be due soon! Oh boy, sounds like you have much more to tell, life is never boring, is it? On my side, my youngest daughter got married and my eldest moved to Europe for a little while, but she’s visiting this week. She has to reapply for a working holliday so she can go back. She and her sweet boyfriend met on-line and they’re just trying to figure out in which country they’ll live. :D I’ve made a lot of forum friends in the past few months and a friend from Germany just visited me this morning! I love this forum! All right my sweet friend, I have to go but it was wonderful hearing from you. I hope you can write again soon. We can fit about 18 lines of text on wall comments and about 35 or 36 in PM’s if you have more to say! Lol Take good care of yourself Thresa and thanks for writing. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hey Thresa, how are you sweetie? I've just read lower on your page Robin saying she was sorry for your loss, is everything okay? I hope so. Oh I missed you too sweetie, it's such a wonderful surprise when I hear from you! Of course I'd love to hear about your concert, are you kidding? :D OMG, you must be so excited! I hope you hear many new songs, enjoy the concert thoroughly and I'll send positive vibes your way so you get to shake Michael's hand! I'm doing the late night thing because my daughter is visiting from Europe so my days are full. One of my new friends is going to the Rama Ontario show and she's supposed to report back too. One day it'll be my turn too! :D Oh Thresa, did you see Michael on the Emmys? Let me know if you haven't and I'll get you the YouTube link. Ah I hope we can chat soon sweetie and that all is well with you and yours. I gotta go, it's past my bedtime... :D Take care my friend. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Thresa, thanks for saying I'm a special person. I have to be reminded. I sometimes have the tendency toput myself down. Michae&I couldn't speak as he was performing but yes, he did hold my hand 3 times as I gave him a gift the first time--2 pictures of me in a double picture frame&a note written to him in Braille&print. The Braille card is a clear-view card so he could read it in print. I'm not putting it out on the forum.I've been doing this rodio 19 years. The first time I saw Michael in concert was 8/12/92. If Michael's dating, I'm unaware of it but who amI, right? :) Yeah, Delta Goodrem sang with him in Henderson, NV. He's just an awesome person. Have you met Michael? I forget. he's such a kind person. Hope you're well. I'm not bad, really. Watching Doctor Phil. Having a little bit of asthma problems but what do I want for the summer, right? :) Take care. Robin or Boltonnut from L. A. CA
Honey, he was awesome. He did 5 songs from the new CD, one from One World One love, one from Sinatra&2 from Vintage as well as the other awesome songs. I gave him a gift. It's 2 pictures of me with Michael on one side of the picture frame. I wrote him a message in Braille as well as in print. The card with the Braille is clear so, he'd be able to read the print behind it on another card. I held his hand 3 times&he kissed my hand. I didn't put it out on the forum. I'm snhy to mention it since the incident 6/8/11. I cried when he&Delta did "Make me feel your Love" or whatever the title is. I'm not popular out there like Kathy, Sylvie, Ashley&tom. People don't comment on my reviews much. Oh! well! it was awesome. did you suffer from Irene&feel the earthquake? God be with you with your loss. xox
