This is the Gems album that we've all known about for a long time now. Where have you been hiding Eva? Ha Ha!!!

 

Seriously, the official release date of Gems is June 21st 2011. If you go to the home page you will find details on the album and an ofer to purchase it as a bundle.

 

It's exciting isnt it?

Eva, this has a few more  songs on it than the GEMS release and some are a bit different...the Prayer on this one is by Helene Fischer on the other track listing it says Lara Fabian..not sure if this is a mistake in the track listing or what...

Gail, I think the German release is by Helene Fischer. She always sings the "Prayer" in her concerts. (Michael on a big screen.)

Eva, you are right. I checked and this is the German release.  There are 3 Helene Fischer songs on this one for that reason.  I'm told they are going to evenually add this to the MB direct albums on this site as well.

thank you Gail and Eva for your updates.

I am listening to loveline LOL - so I am online to a quite unusual time for me and took time to check this thread. (I missed the first 15 minutes, so I hope MB is still to be aired ...)

Just in case you don't know about "Vivo per lei".
This song was originally sung by the blind italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and the German singer Judy Weiß.
It is a beautiful song about the love for music, how music inspires and empowers.
Andrea Bocelli, a former lawer, jazz pianist (e.g.) and a trained tenor,  was discovered and mentored by Zuccero and the great Luciano Pavarotti. Andrea Bocelli sung at Luciano Pavarotti's funeral - which I watched - and just thinking about it makes me cry ...

OMG Astrid, thank you so much for sharing about this song, it’s gorgeous! You know, in 2004, I attended the MBC gala and there was an auction to have Michael write a song for you and I wished I’d have the money for that and that’s exactly what I would have asked Michael to write the song about… Woaw, that’s all I can say… BTW, thanks for sharing the links, the 2 women have beautiful voices!
