Hi Lue and Sylvia, well first, it's good to know that Michael's early videos are finally on ITunes. Do you think "Jack Sparrow" might have had something to do with that? :D Now Sylvia, the problem with "The essential Michael Bolton" DVD is that it's a Pal video girl, not compatible with our North American players, although I hear it's compatible with some computers and some game-playing systems like PS3, if I'm not mistaken. Your best bet Lue, to find the original video is a VHS called "Michael Bolton, the videos"  that has every video released from "Fool's game" until "Steel bars", if I'm not mistaken. It would seriously be time they'd release our old tapes on DVD! We were discussing that not too long ago... Anyway, good for you getting your ship notice Lue and thanks for the update on ITunes! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Sylvie the Solver to the rescue again - OMG Sylvie thank goodness you saw that I had come in with a load of "rubbish" and you are right, of course, it is PAL - sorry Lue.....I should either just shut-up or say to everybody, double check everything I say cause the chances are .............  !!!! LOL.  Thanks again Sylvie and sorry Lue for totally misleading you - but hey, if you want to come over to Scotland any time you can watch mine !!!!!!!! LOL.

Hi Sylvia, what you’ve said is not rubbish, you had the right info, just not complete info. Lue can decide whether she wants to chance buying a Pal DVD. For example, Gail told me that she was able to watch the Pal DVD included with the “We will remember them” single on her computer. Mine played once and than refused to play again.  I think it’s a case by case  occurrence. That’s unfortunately one of the reasons why I’m hesitant about buying Jen’s DVD’s, I’m sorry Jennifer. You know, now I’m wondering if WIBOMFA is also on the “Decade” VHS… Man it’s been too long since I’ve watched it, although I love it! Of course, this doesn’t help Lue if she’s looking for it on DVD… Well anyway, take care Sylvia. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi all .If you purchase a dvd from another country you can watch it if your dvd player is multi region.I know you can buy one here fairly cheaply but rather than having to buy a new dvd player to watch you can actually programme most dvd players to region free, all you need is a code and your remote. If you type in code for region free dvd player to google you will get many sites that will give you the code for each brand for free .Anyone that needs help send me the make of player and i will try find the code. Its extremly easy as i have done this for a couple of my own .xx

Oooh, you cheeky devil Sharon! Ha Ha!!

I have heard of this before, but didnt realise it was this easy! Wow!! Thank you Sharon for sharing this lovely and really important  bit of information with us all.

Thanks a lot Jennifer and Sharon for information about DVD players - was certainly not aware of any of that and thanks too for your links Jennifer !! :)

Sylvia.   Your wee Scottish friend.

In case anyone is wondering this is not illegal or immoral to do.It simply changes the setting on your dvd from region 1 or 2 to region 0 .= so you can play whatever.

Lol Jenn .I hate not being able to find these little tricks ,like with the iphone ringtones xx

Hi Sharon and Jennifer,  well first of all, I want to thank you for the info and links. Okay, I don’t know if changing the encoding for DVD players and PC computers works the same, but my daughter told me that for computers, you can only do it a limited amount of times per month. Now as far as DVD players go, I’m wondering if this change of code would stay permanent, whether it would make the player glitchy etc. Also, my daughter’s boyfriend has a European multi-region player and apparently, some of my daughter’s North American DVD’s did not play on it. I hate to sound like a stick in the mud when you guys are being so helpful, but I don’t know what to think… Just like a friend of mine mentioned once that one of her DVD’s would not play in a Blue Ray machine, when it’s supposed to. Technology can be wonderful but also tempermental! :D Well thanks for the links anyway and  maybe we’ll try it with an old DVD player if we get brave! Thanks girls and take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Thanks everyone, I/m going to wait for iTunes or an original for sale on Ebay or Amazon.
Just got Gems in the mail this morning. This may be as good as the The One Thing and Only a Woman Like You cds. I can never decide which I like best, only time will tell. Old videos are now on the back burner.
Hi Lue, well aren't you lucky! I was listening to the samples on Amazon this morning and I was thinking that when they picked the title of it, it must have been a toss up between "Gems" and "Pure listening bliss", isn't it? Enjoy it thoroughly sweetie and we'll join in the love fest as soon as we can! Well, I know I don't have to tell you, but h
ave a great weekend, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
