Michael is asking for your ideas
I've been asked to find out what you would like to see on the site from Michael to help you feel more connected as a fan. He is going to try to blog more often from all the places he is going and I believe he is going to try to post some pictures but anything else (please keep it to things really workable and attainable). Post in this thread so I know where to find your responses and can pass them on. Thanks! Gail

Gail, thanks so much for letting us know about this! I am really happy Michael has the time to blog once and awhile! It would be nice if he could comment on some of the photos we have taken or as others have said let us know if he found something really good to do in a city he has gone to in case we ever get there. ( I am sure he doesn't get to do too much in his tour cities with his time crunches!!) or just let us know what he might have liked about a city or country!! Everyone has really good ideas on here. If he did do video blogs, I would rather see it just here instead of you tube to make it more special to us and not everyone!!! Maybe somehow we could have a chance for us to meet him at a concert we may be attending sometime. I am really glad he is listening to his longtime fans and new ones. I am really happy with the forum to get to know some of these dedicated fans worldwide...

THANKS FOR LETTING US KNOW ABOUT THIS I LIKE ALL OF THE SUGGESTIONS I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE VIDEO BLOGS IT IS BETTER THAN READING THE BLOGS IF HE COULD DO THIS OCCASIONALLY IT WOULD BE GREAT I ALSO LIKE THE IDEA OF AN ONLINE CHAT WHERE WE COULD CHAT WITH EACH OTHER HERE ON THE FORUM AS WELL AS POSTING MICHAEL COULD JOIN IN AS WELL (TIME PERMITTING OF COURSE)

Hi again Gail, First of all, I want to thank you for starting this thread. As you know, I've been doing I'd say very well reading the forum and I've done a lot of it. I've been thinking, reading posts from various fans, devoted fans that haven't met Michael yet... My suggestion is this: I think it would be a great idea to have a draw, let'ssay once a month, for a pair of backstage passes to be given away to fans who haven't met Michael yet. The idea with it being once a month is that it would be completely random and no venue would be favored. I'm thinking that fans who would be seeing Michael, for instance in July, could enter their name in a draw to be held at the end of June and they'd get passes for the venue they'd be attending. I figured once a month is not too much to ask for. The thing that may be a little harder to determine would be to make sure the said fan hasn't already had backstage passes. I mean, obviously, Michael isn't ever going to meet everybody but I'm thinking it might make it easier for a lot of them who haven't. It's just a thought... I like the idea for a chance for more fans to meet Michael that never have before. So many die-hard fans have not had the chance to talk to him in person and that would be great if more fans can get the opportunity to somehow meet Michael.

Basically we want the fan club back but this time show more consideration to the foreigners coz we got stitched like kippers last time. Not everyone is rich enough to go running to America at the drop of hat. Prices also need to be realistic in order to take into account the cost of shipping and EBay being readily available.

Hi Gail, thank you so much for letting us know about this. I think it's so lovely of Michael to ask what we would like to see on the site. There are some fab ideas been put forward. I would love to see some comments from Michael via blogs, messages, video messages, anyway he can really with the busy schedule he has. I think everyone would feel better connected that way and it would feel great to see a comment on a photo or post from Michael. The monthly draw for backstage passes would be exciting and make many dreams of meeting Michael come true.

OK, I am sure I am going to repeat some of the ideas...and that's because some of them are great... so here I go:
-Video blog; of course! we want to have videos recorded by him or someone from his team with messages for us.
-Pictures from the tour: Taken by him, with things he liked from the cities, or people, or during travels, curiosities...
-Chat: we all miss those chats we had and the excitement we live being online with him!!
-Michael doing different things: we all known him as musician, golfer... but I will love to see him doing "different things", like buying a CD he wants to listen, a gift for someone...
-Michael speaking on different things: speaking on books he reads, movies, cities, fashion, technology, current news...
-Questions by the fans: answering our questions.
-A capella songs: maybe he could record a part of the songs only with his voice and share it with us, or unreleased previous demos of the songs...
-Greeting in different languages: record his voice sending us a greeting in the main languages of his fans....
And of course, contest, meets and greets... everything will be very welcome!!!

Well..... I was thinking he could come to SUMMERSIDE, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, CANADA and give ME backstage passes!!! hahaha I would DEFINITELY feel more connected as a fan then!!!
Ok.... Gail did say it had to be workable and attainable. I might be asking for a little too much.
I am really glad he asked about what fans would like, and I especially love getting the blogs from him!! Everyone had great ideas! Anything he can give us would be greatly appreciated!!
I would seriously love to see him perform more concerts in the little parts of the world he doesn't normally get to. For example he performed in Halifax, Canada this spring and it was wonderful!!

Hi Gail,
I really appreciate his comments and I would like him to blog more often and post some pictures from his tour. However I'd really love him to be more personal in his posts: writing about him, about what he thinks, what he feels about music... For fans like me, I'm from Spain, it would be very important because here we don't have any news from Michael (there is no promo here!) and we just can be connected with all he is doing through the internet (Thanks to internet!!!).
It would be nice too if he wrote something about the comments we write on the web, that is, telling us what he thinks about what we write about him. It would be such fun!!! but perhaps is too much to ask.
Anyway, Gail, I'm looking forward to tell us how our proposals are doing.
