I have brought this over from Michael's wall on FB to enable those that aren't on FB to hopefully gain access to the video that Ben Roche, Pastry Chef at The Moto Restaurant sent to Michael through Twitter and the first part of the transcript below is Michael's tweet in reply.    Hope you enjoy it for it is quite funny and certainly "food" for thought !!!!! lol.

"Ben Roche, @moto_restaurant, @Homarucanto - I haven't used hairspray in a decade, but those cookies look freaking delicious #ShiptoCT?

Chef Homaro Cantu's mind-blowing restaurant Moto is known for all sorts of off-the-wall dishes. But one of our favorites has to be the Michael Bolton cookie created by Pastry Chef Ben Roche.  Yes, let's say it again -- a Michael Bolton cookie."

Hi Sylvia, what am I missing? A Michael Bolton cookie, how random! I'm guessing the "hairspray" mention has to do with how it looks or I'm having a slow day, but I don't get it... Would you care to enlighten me? Thanks! Take care sweetie and have a great weekend. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Ben Roche who is the Pastry Chef at The Moto Restaurant has introduced this dessert dish to the menu and he has called it The Michael Bolton Cookie and he is explaining in the video exactly what is involved in the dessert dish....... and what it is is a picture of Michael baked onto a cookie and the cookie tastes of violet, orange and gin, the old aviation cocktail and the cookie is placed on top of a plate that has chocolate mousse, raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream because Ben says he wanted to copy the old style of dessert from around 1991 with ingredients that everybody knows and the picture of Michael is from around then too and he goes onto say that the picture of Michael is like the cherry on the top and then he says he is going to demonstrate eating the face of Michael Bolton and he pops the picture into his mouth and then says that it tastes of hairspray and that is why Michael has answered him back about the hairspray !!

As I say it is a tweet but obviously Michael is a little "tickled pink" that the restaurant has introduced this dish with his name and picture that he has brought it over from Twitter onto his wall on FB for everyone to see and I think it is darn nice too and nice of Ben Roche to have made the video and to have sent it to Michael to let him know about the dish !!   It has been sitting on Michael's wall since 4th December and that was why when I spotted it again today when I went into FB I thought that has never come over to the website for those not on FB to see and that is why I brought it over !! :)   Does my little description help Sylvie and now you know you weren't missing anything in the first place !!!!! LOL.

OMG thanks Sylvia! Of all the things a pastry chef can think about, how blinking random is this? lol I'd really like to understand the logic that brought him to do this... Well, I guess I would have gotten it, had I heard the video. Well, I'm glad Michael got a kick out of it! :D Hmm, funny how when I read the ingredients, I wondered why he didn't use rum instead... ;D Well anyway, thanks again for the video and cookie description sweetie, I appreciate it. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

The only thing that I wonder is if in the restaurant and him coming up with this dessert and the cookie is because of the nomination for the Grammy for The Lonely Island Sylvie ......could be connected to that for the picture that he is using looks terribly like, to me, the head shot of one of the ones taken when Michael received his first Grammy and that was in 1991 wasn't it and that is the era for the dish he is trying to recreate.    Possibly, like all of us, they know it is "in the bag"  and as we all know too it will be primarily Michael's participation in the album that will carry it to its Grammy and, therefore, by creating this dish, in honour of, good publicity for the restaurant......Michael is advertising for them in as much as he has it on FB and that is out to the public along with on here........subtle, low cost, advertising  !!!! LOL.
