Following a request and suggestion from a very dear friend of all of ours on this forum, Sylvie from Canada, I’ve agreed to set up this thread on behalf of both of us and hope that you’ll join in the fun .
Sylvie's idea came from the age old New Year resolution pledges that we’ve all made and have often all broken, throughout the years, and hoped that by trying a "new sauce" on that "old turkey" it could feel easier for us all and give us a chance to be able to "pat ourselves on the back" and proudly say we achieved our goal of following to the end our... "New Month"... resolution instead........ what do you think?
We both agreed that the month of January would be a "freeby" so we can share suggestions if any of our usual active forum members are interested in this project which, we both hope, will turn into something worthwhile and a lot of fun too. So guys, if you’d like to take part, please feel free to share your ideas of what you think would be useful and fun resolutions for all of us to follow each month.
Obviously this January is, apart from a "freeby" month, a trial month too so that Sylvie and I can see your interest in this and figure out what the majority think so that we can start February with a very firm idea of what our 1st Resolution will be. Each one, thereafter, will be clearly displayed before the month begins and will be advertised with an MB calendar as is shown below for our "freeby" month of January. We hope that each month we can all share stories, tips and cheer each other on.
If you’re interested please join in and give us your thoughts and let’s make this great forum even more of a fun place to visit where we can all come together as friends, thanks to our love and admiration for our Michael.

Hey Sylvia and everyone following this thread, I’ve been meaning to put together a little text, following Sylvia’s lead, for Michael’s birthday but got distracted by shiny objects, so I only got around to it last night and finished it this morning. It’s a little silly but I had fun putting it together, which was the whole point of this. :D Hope you enjoy it! Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Dear Michael, I hope you “Hear me” and my little prose “For you”:
It seems it was only “Yesterday”, “Since I fell for you” and your music. “For once in my life”, “At last”, “I found someone”, an extraordinary artist who could “Simply”
make this “Heart of mine” “Completely” “Drift away”
and “Now that I’ve found you”, “Forever isn’t long enough”, but “If I could”, I would tell you “Every day of my life” that “You mean more to me” with the “Voice of my heart”. Now, “You don’t know me”, but I must say that special people like
you only come “Once in a lifetime” and “Every time” you
release a new album, “It’s just a feeling”, but it’s like a “New love” and you don’t know “What you’re doing to me”, because your music is “The one thing” we can agree is “The best” and I want to listen to it “Night and day”!
These days, I’m “Missing you now” and it feels like there “Ain’t no sunshine” ahead until your return.
“This is the way”, “From now on”, that I’ll “Knock on wood” and I’m “Countin’ on you” since now, “This is the time” more than ever to come back. Michael, I “Really wanna know” when you’ll come back to Montreal, because if you “Go the distance”, “I promise you”, with much “Pride”, that you’ll get “All that you deserve”, which is a “hometown hero” welcome and it’ll certainly feel like “Paradise” to me because “The hunger” for your concerts is something that I can say I “Can’t turn it off” and I’m “Ready for you”
! Lol Just please remember, “A heart can only be so strong” so “I wanna hear you say it” that you’ll come back to Montreal, so I can “Smile” “til the end of forever” because ”you’re all that I need” and I’d love you to “Stay” “Eternally” and never “walk away”.

Hey Sylvia, glad you liked it sweetie! lol You know, I haven't counted how many songs I squeezed in there, but I think I managed to place one from every album, except "A swingin' Xmas" or songs from Joy... XD A little over the top but fun and of course I had to plug Montreal, it doesn't hurt, right? Thanks again Sylvia, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Just you wait till you get that call and you will hear; "It's For You" and then from the other end you will hear the words; "If you allow me to call Montreal my home "I'll Be Home For Christmas" but just in case I can't make it "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"" and funnily enough all that you will be able to say is; "Bah, Bah, Bah" !!! lol.

Hi Folks,
As this is a resolution thread and I have made it my resolution to attempt to get an answer to a question and seeing as how this is 29th February, I have asked the important question once again of Michael in the Question and Answers Section that he created on 13th March, on FB and below is a copy of that exact question......now, as I see it, if Michael doesn't give me an answer on FB he could always come into this thread and leave his answer here.....told you all too that I am like a dripping tap; never give up !!!!!!!! ROFL
"Going to ask one question again because this is the day I have the right too as it is 29th February....."Will you marry me, Michael Bolotin ????...... and seeing as how I have a figure like wee Betty's, for my avatar proves it, you can't refuse me....surely not ???? LOL. BTW the gentleman is supposed to reply today as that is part of the deal for the 29th too !!!!!!! ROFL.""

Hi Folks,
For this month's resolutions Sylvie and I thought it might be a good idea to introduce a little bit of exercise into our lifes and also to go along with that exercise, for those that wish to lose weight, a diet !! We both feel that as it is now March and therefore spring on the doorstep and with summer coming along behind a few of us may wish to start to get into shape, one way or the other, for those lazy crazy hazy days when a bikini will be our only dress code.....okay, I am dreaming again, but is there really any harm in that ????? LOL. So if anyone has really good diets that we can follow to help us shed those extra pounds that the winter always seems to push onto all the wrong places and any suggestions for exercises that we can easily follow to get the old heart rate going and hopefully find some muscles that we didn't know we had please share with us all !! :)
Below is calendar page for March with, I hope you will agree, a pretty good picture of MB and as this is St. David's Day (patron saint of Wales) may I wish any lurkers or participants who come from that beautiful country of Wales a Happy St. David's Day !! :)

Oh Sylvia, lol I shouldn’t read your posts before coffee! Lol I was reading your post, all about shedding extra pounds and reading about the patron saint of whales? Lol lol lol I’m sorry, I won’t do it again! Lol Well, to share with anyone who’s still following this, I’ve started last week, because I had a bunch of downloads to listen to and file away, getting on my stationary bike, while I listen. I usually get on the bike with an MB CD that would be around 45 minutes long. “One world one love” works perfectly. I personally don’t need an energetic CD, I just need something to focus on. As for losing weight, what I do is keep a journal of what I eat, so that I’m aware of transgressions. I do allow myself comfort foods at times, but if it’s on “paper”, I tend to eat less and less often. My problem area is consistency with exercize so wish me luck! Now it’s your turn to share! :D Well thanks for this month’s post Sylvia, take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
P.S.: Added resolution, coffee before reading your posts! :D
LOL.....did you do an Astrid, Sylvie and splutter your coffee all over your computer ???? lol. Can I just say that it is not "whales" as in the animals it is "Wales" as in the country, there is no "h" in the spelling as in the Prince of Wales....all joking aside it is a beautiful place and a little part of it called Amroth will always hold a dear, dear place in my heart !! :)
I started dieting on 6th January and I managed to lose 6 pounds up until a little while ago and now I am just remaining steady but haven't lost anymore although I want to and need to but I am a comfort eater and I just need some comfort so food is getting piled in but I am going to have a serious talk with myself and get back on that straight and narrow. As for the exercises I am doing pretty well with them ......got back into my little regime and eat your heart Michelle Obama because I am now up to 25 press ups and I am going to aim for the 30 this weekend...now that isn't bad for an old woman of nearly 61...is it ???? LOL. I am going to be up to 61 by the time I hit that 61 !!! lol.
Hey Sylvie, keep the faith don't be dispondent for there are actually millions following us they just don't want to come out into the open....they are keeping it a secret.....what for I have no idea but I just KNOW there are millions out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL. Talk about imagination running wild I believe mine has circled the planet a few times !!!! LOL.

Hey Sylvia, oh I know the right spelling sweetie: I hadn’t had my coffee yet so my brain wasn’t awake! Lol When in doubt, I do check spelling. It just made me focus when you said “beautiful country of Wales” but I got a good laugh out of it! I hear that laughing is like jogging on the inside so got my workout done early! Lol Wow, congratulations on the 6 pounds! I can certainly ration junk but did the diet thing too many times so kudos on your courage girl! Ah you see, there’s your problem: you’re building up muscle, that’s why you’re not losing weight! :D Incidentally, when you say “press ups”, do you mean sit-ups/stomach crunches? To me, press-ups are lifting heavy weights. Hey Sylvia, you should follow your imagination running: you’ll be in shape in no time! Lol Good luck sweetie, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
On stomach crunches I can do about 50 of those but with legs bent up at knees, certainly nowhere near as many with them straight but what I was meaning was possibly what I should have called "push ups", i.e hands and toes touching floor and pushing up and down bending only elbows and keeping back and legs straight as you lower towards floor.....get what I am doing now ????? I am so glad that you gave me an excuse for not losing anymore weight......nothing whatsoever to do with that tub of toffee ice cream I ate last night, nothing to do with at all !!!!!!! LOL

Hey Sylvia, just checking up on you missy. How are you keeping up with the exercizes? I keep reading you saying you're reading in bed and sitting watching MB: I guess you're working on your ocular muscles? :D So far, on my side, I manage the old bike about 4 times a week, but the length of time on it can easily be longer so that's a start. It's getting warmer here so my son offered to start taking walks with me when it gets to be brighter after supper. I love spring! :D Let me know how you're doing sweetie, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
