Hi everyone, well this is my first attempt at starting a discussion so hope I’m doing this right... :D . A couple of weeks ago, I asked Gail when she thought would be a proper time to start thinking of what we fans want to do for our Michael’s 60th birthday. She said she was out of ideas, but suggested I’d start a thread asking fans for suggestions. I figure we have exactly 4 months, starting today,  to come up with something fun and get mobilised to achieve it. I’m no organizer, I just thought we could share ideas so let’s put our heads together and see what we can come up with! :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada J

*The 2 most popular suggestions so far are:

- individual donations to michaelboltoncharities.com, mentionning they are made in honor of Michael’s birthday, of any amount you feel comfortable with.

-a collective wall-hanging made from personalized fabric squares sent by fans that will be stitched together. The 4 inch/10 cm squares (with small blank margin) only need have your signature and location but can be crafty as you are able. For

more info, ask here, or PM either me, or Amie Angeli who will be doing the stitching and presenting the finished product to our Michael.

**Note: The final deadline for recieving fabric squares is February 15th, so you don't have much time left. :D

**It would also mean a lot to Michael if fans donate to the Red Cross for victims of hurricane Sandy at:

www.redcross.org/

then E-mail Gail at boltoninfo@aol.com with your name and location, so she can add  them to the MBC donors list.

**If you feel strongly about sending Michael a card or personal gift, you may send it to:

Michael Bolton

c/o Michael Bolton Charities

P.O. Box 936

Branford, CT 06405

U.S.A.

*Note that the deadline for recieving cards and presents is February 20th 2013, whether you send them to either Gail or Michael Bolton Charities.

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd let you know that Amie told me she recieved  squares from Illinois, Indiana and Australia today, so I know some of you should sleep better tonight. :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Hi Sylvie,

I start worrying about the package with our square and others that I sent 19/1/2013. Do you have any information if Amie received it? It is a yellow DHL XS package, sent as a large envelope, as the lady at the post office suggested. It should have arrived by Wednesday to Friday last week ... I hope that I am just impatient and it will arrive the next couple of days. Big hug, Astrid

Hi Astrid, I'll ask Amie to take the time to list the names of the square senders, whose squares she recieved. We're all curious to find out how many she has etc and we'd all feel a lot better if we all knew. :D To my knowledge, she hasn't recieved mine either, though I've sent them 9 days ago. Then again, remember this is a PO box, so she might not get to it every day, so don't panic yet! lol I know how you feel though, because we've all taken great care of our products so of course, we want to know they're safe and sound and noone will be left out. Talk to you soon Astrid, take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc canada

Hi Astrid, Sylvie & all!  I don't know if DHL delivers to PO boxes.  Usually it's through the postal service, and I've been getting envelopes & small packages from numerous countries - Netherlands, Australia, Scotland & more.  I pick up mail once/twice a week, and try to email or post something to the sender when I pick up.  Unless something has come in the past few days (picked up Thurs this past week), which I'll pick up tonight, I think everyone has been acknowledged.  Concerned about the DHL because I know FedEx & UPS cannot deliver to PO boxes - but FedEx & UPS tell shippers that right up front.

Got quite a few "oversize" squares (e.g. his girls & the grandbabies), plus working on a Happy 60th banner, so precise numbers are "kinda squirrel-y" so to speak.  I'd have to go count 'em up.  But so far, it's going to be more than 3 ft by 3 feet!  Think it would be totally cool if we could get enough squares all together to make it 6 ft wide - make his eyes pop!

More tomorrow after I pick up at PO tonight.  Cheers, Amie

That is wonderful news Amie and thanks for coming in and letting us know but on it becoming 6 ft.....are you not forgetting you have to carry it and deliver it to him or have you hired a crane for the purpose !!!! LOL.

The nice thing about fabric is that it folds.  And it doesn't weigh a ton.  I just have to find a box big enough to pack it in - LOL!  Cheers, Amie

Wow, It will need to be put in a BIG BOX!!LOL  I hope this isn't too much to put together after we all bombarded you with squares Amie!!LOL Thanks again for taking on this project on behalf of all of us here.

Robin in MD:)

I hope Michael will display it at his Birthday Concert in York, Pa!  Counting the days till I land in York!

Thank you Amie, for all you input and work on this project.
