Sylvie, can I show you one of my favorite videos?
Elvis Presley, American Trilogy.
A really nice man!!! A really nice voice!!!
Could you still see at his time?
Petra (Germany)
Hallo Petra, well I understand how you feel about people covering Elvis, I’m the same with Marvin Gaye. Hey, you and Astrid should have a talk: she’s a huge Elvis fan! To answer your question, Michael and Elvis have both performed covers like “Bridge over troubled water”,”You’ve lost that loving feeling” and “Yesterday”, but to my knowledge, Michael has only sung this one:

It’s on a CD called “It’s now or never, tribute to Elvis”, released in 1994 I believe, if you’d like to look it up. :D BTW, I really like Elvis’s version of “Yesterday”, very sweet. Elvis is a big part of my life too:my mom was a huge fan and so is my youngest daughter. I love “American trilogy” and it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m not sure if you’re asking if I’ve seen Elvis, but yes, I remember seeing videos and movies from way back when. I remember seeing the “American trilogy” video and when they unfurl the American flag, it’s very moving... I was raised on Elvis movies too and don’t care how corny they are, I love them! :D My own favourite song is this one:

It reminds me of my mom and a perfect song for this weekend, because it’s Mother’s Day here in North America. :D Thank you very much for sharing Petra, take care sweetie. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
Sylvie if Michael the songs sings from Elvis, that is o.k. for me! Jailhouse rock is cool! And memories makes creeps to me always!
What I meant with seeing: I do not know, since when you are "blind". I wanted to know whether could ever see the beauty of Elvis!
Hey, Sylvie, all the best to the Mother's Day! Let coddle!
Many thanks for the exchange! Till to the next song!!!
Petra (Germany)
Hallo Petra, well actually, I'm legally blind, but I used to be able to see as a child and teenager so yes, I know how handsome Elvis was. :D Thanks for the wishes sweetie and glad you enjoyed the links. Take care and have a great weekend. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
Hi everyone, I just wanted to take a minute and acknowledge the passing of a long-time “friend”, Mr Casey Kasem. He passed away yesterday, June 15 at the age of 82. Casey was a radio DJ, creator of the “American Top 40” countdown, he was a huge part of my teen years and probably my greatest source of music trivia, catering to my unquenchable thirst for it. He will always have a big place in my heart and I’ll always be grateful to him: a huge heartfelt “ thank you” Casey! May the memory of your voice and your achievements live on forever, rest in peace, my friend. By the way, say hi to Dick and Wolfman for me! :D As he used to say: “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars!”. Thanks everyone for indulging me. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Sylvie, that was before my time! But thanks for putting here!
We will have to separate us throughout our lives of many people who had something special for us! I think of you!

Sylvie, I love ear worm songs. The song "Into the Blue" by Kylie Minogue is one. I could listen to it for hours!
How do you like the song?
Petra (Germany)
Hallo again Petra, well I can’t say I’m a huge Kylie Minogue fan, the song is okay, but it’s not my “cup of tea” if you get the expression. Wow, you want to talk about earworms? Listen to this song:
Martin Solveig feat. Dragonette “Hello”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUONl2RPDmM
This is a song that played a lot in 2010 here in Canada. It's by a French DJ and an electro-pop Canadian band. I like to dance when nobody’s watching, lol but I don’t go for the dance pop genre, although I do like this song. Thanks again for sharing Petra, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Sylvie, this song was played often in Germany. And my radio is almost burst! Yes, I also like to dance, but only if no one is watching (ha, ha)!
I go on a search and as soon as I have a new earworm found, I'll get back! I wish you a wonderful weekend!
Petra (Germany)
You have a great weekend too Petra, take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hallo Petra, yes the link I'm sure was before your time and frankly, way before I'd heard him myself. Casey had a very long career from the early 60's to 2009. I listened to him from the late 70's on to when he retired. Just imagine your favorite DJ in Germany, the one you grew up with and that has been on the radio forever: if you knew something happened to him, I'm sure you'd feel bad. Of course, I didn't know him personally, but I still felt like he was a friend. Thank you for your sweet thought Petra, you're very kind, take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
P.S.: I will listen to your song tomorrow, thanks for sharing Petra. :D
