Miscellany but exceptionally relevant information about, or from Michael on, MB.

Thought I would start this thread for there does appear, at times, to be different relevant articles, tweets, retweets, pictures etc relating to Michael but not really fitting into an already recognized thread nor, each of them individually, being able to be grouped together where a relevant thread could be started and so decided on this "Miscellany" thread.

I hope you agree with its relevance and that you enjoy everything that is put in as well as hoping that many will find interesting tidbits about Michael that can be included and help to make this, whilst a serious sharing of information, a FUN page to be able to visit too and, as is my intention, somewhere that everything which does not have a particular "home" can be placed, so that is all grouped together and can be easily found and located if someone wants to look at.

Here now, so that we can all focus on the main reason for this thread, is a beautiful picture of the "Theme" of the thread.......wonder if MB has ever been called that before ???? LOL.

Believe this one definitely belongs in here for I would say sharing with us that coconut sorbet is his favourite dessert is both miscellaneous and more than extremely relevant to the "THEME" of this website and in particular, to this thread  !! LOL.

Hope everyone enjoys content and feels free to add their very own miscellany !!! :)

Hi Sylvie, yeah I,m gonna try and post more often, I can see the fun you girls have on here and I adore Michael and have done for many years.....I listen to his music almost every day. It,s nice to connect with other people who are also huge fans. Sandra UK

The picture is super isn't it Sandra and have you seen the album Petra has created with some more pics she has found and here is link to it and Michael certainly looks good in a few where he is laughing at the obvious jokes the others must be telling.....just wish could have heard them and wish too could have read Michael's speech where you can see it in pic and will maybe try and zoom in on it...LOL

I think Michael was having a lot of fun Sylvia, you can just tell he was laughing a lot. He looks so adorable in those ones. Would loved to have heard the jokes myself. I tried zooming in on his speech but couldn,t read it. He should have written it in larger print so we could read it....LOL
Sandra

Thanks for that review Kathy and I am so glad you got to meet Michael and especially getting that poster signed...wonderful !!! :)  Also, of course, so glad you had great night and to hear Michael did too.  Thanks a million for review...thanks !!! :)

Just to add hope everyone does see couple of pictures above from event and placed them there deliberately so Kathy's review wouldn't be swamped....not yet, anyway !!!!!! LOL

I thought I would put my review here about tonight's program at the Grammy Museum since Michael didn't sing and this thread is about relevant and important things Michael is involved in. It was a great show and it was loads of fun watching Michael busting up with all the stories being told by the comedians/panelists present who included: Louie Anderson, Harry Basil, Sally Kellerman (of Mash fame) and Brad Garrett.

Upon arrival I realized I DIDN'T bring the cc I used to buy our tickets. I remember clearly reading that you MUST bring the exact cc you used for ticket purchase and no exceptions! Why didn't I remember that BEFORE we left the house??? Luckily Bob had his card and it is the same account so Bob said just give them the card and let's hope it works. Lol...so I gave the will call window person the cc and said 2 tickets for Kathy Rosario please. He looks up my name and there are my tickets...whew...we took our tickets and I could breathe again.

Off to get our place in line. All is well now that I survived that little scare ;) I send out a couple of tweets and post on fb with my excitement while waiting for Michael to appear :) I had no idea what tonight's show would be like!! It is time to finally enter the theatre and I am sooooo happy to be able to sit down after standing in line for 30 minutes :/ It is open seating and we manage to get 4th row center. Not bad at all in a very small intimate theatre...maybe 200 seats? I spot MB and company standing to my left in the wings waiting to take the stage :) The program starts with a rep from the Grammy Museum explaining how the museum for the first time is honoring comedians and Rodney Dangerfield is the first comic they are honoring. He then introduces Michael and I whoop and holler...my usual welcome ;) Michael starts with telling the crowd how he was first contacted by Rodney after he impersonated him on the Jay Leno Show. Their friendship grew and Rodney asked Michael to appear in his movie Back to School...I believe. Michael then went into his own stand up routine doing Rodney and it was hysterical!! Michael then introduces the panelists I named above and they all take their seats. And boy am I happy for Michael sits right in my line of sight!! Perfect....no tall person in front of me!! I take several pics...no flash..but the lighting is bad for the photos ;/ I took several great short vids and I will ask Gail if it is ok to post them here since Michael isn't singing. I will send the vids to her and perhaps she can get an ok for me to post them. There were a couple of more questions and then the show was over. It went so fast with all the laughing!!! The panelists remained on the stage ....but.....Michael scooted right off!!! Soooooo Bob and I scooted right off!! LOL We walked outside as MB disappeared into thin air!! We saw a couple of limos parked out front so we decoded to wait around for a bit. A woman came out who had asked a question during the Q & A part of program and she was quite a character. A BIG fan of Rodney's :) She saw my MB poster and said ...oh do you are waiting for MB. I said yes and then Bob asked if she was in the movie biz because of her question earlier and she said no she was a frustrated child actor and wanna be comedienne...as I say she was a character. She said we are waiting in the right place! A car them pulled up to the curb with a loud honk and it was her ride. As she turns to open the door she says good luck with catching Michael and then when she was about to close the door.she hesitates and says...no..in fact I am sure you will see Michael Bolton. I said thanks and she drove away. Bob and I looked at each other with that knowing look like....did you just "feel" that? I said well....who knows...here goes another Bolton Adventure!! The comics start coming out front now. First Louie...then Kellerman...Garrett...Basil. Bob and I nod as the limos are still here....so we stay in place :) And then....here comes Michael out the door!!! A comic fan gets to Michael first which gives me time to scoot on over with my sore and tired feet...lol I say hi Michael and could you please sign my Scotland poster from your show in Glasgow? I can't waste a minute n case he has to hurry off ;) I said ...oh yes...sure!! I told him he did a great job as host and I really enjoyed the show. He asked how Bob and I were doing and if Bob was still working for LAFD. He is so sweet to remember. We had a nice little chat :) I thanked him for my birthday tweet and then he was done signing so we said our goodbyes and I would be seeing him again!! Well that made my night as this was 1 week exactly from my birthday and Michael had said to make it a week long....and so I did!!! LOL Too much fun. Bob and I walk back to our car and head on home!!! Great finale to a GREAT birthday week!!! Thank you so much Michael! You are the best!!! Now....come on concerts in SoCal :)))))

Michael then introduces the panelists I named above and they all take their seats. Each panelist shares their personal stories about how they met Rodney and lots of funny stories and jokes were told!!! This lasted about an hour. And boy am I happy for Michael sits right in my line of sight!! Perfect....no tall person in front of me!! I take several pics...no flash..but the lighting is bad for the photos ;/ I took several great short vids and I will ask Gail if it is ok to post them here since Michael isn't singing in them. I will send the vids to her and perhaps she can get an ok for me to post them. Michael then said there would be a Q & A time and did anyone have any questions. Well...I guess the crowd was feeling shy as there were no questions and then the comics jumped right in again and started with more stories and jokes...lol Michael then tried a second time and we shy folk rose to the occasion. Bob nudges me and I make my move. A gentlemen asks his question and then I raise my hand just like in the 3rd grade ;) Michael looks at me and says...yes? I smiled and asked Michael if he was going to sing for Rodney tonight? He laughed and said no and then in his Rodney's voice he says he is resting his voice tonight for this dedication. That was funny!!! There were a couple of more questions and then the show was over. It went so fast with all the laughing!!! The panelists remained on the stage ....but.....Michael scooted right off!!! Soooooo Bob and I scooted right off!! LOL

Katia

Kathy,

LOL, I was wondering how did she get this review so large, it's running off the page? I read the first one as your final then I saw what happened. If you can't delete it who cares?! So glad you had a great night, sat close, got pics, met MB, talked to MB, got him to sign your poster.....WOW can't ask for more than that! Very happy for you ;)

It is great to see him at something like this isn't it? The 92Y Interview in New York City was similar. Just hearing & seeing him so close talking and being funny is wonderful. I loved it, and I can tell you did too.

Joy ;)
