Hi all,
I too, have met Orrin in Connecticut. He is a great guy, always friendly and caring! Last year he sang at Michael's Charity Event. Excellent. Hope he will be singing again this year, out in CA! I am so looking forward to this trip. You bet, I will be getting this release! Thanks for the treads.
Hi Nichole, you'd have a hard time finding Orrin videos on Youtube but here's a link to a page where you can hear samples of songs from his first album released in 2001 called "Freedom". http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/orrinbolton
He was on Oprah with Michael in 1995 singing "Please come home" that Michael wrote, but good luck finding this one also. The CDBaby page should give you a good idea though. His music is different from Michael's and very eclectic but he has a great voice and he's a great songwriter too. Enjoy! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
I think thats one of the clips on one of the videos that I've got here. Well, atleast, one of the videos is labelled as Michael on Oprah. I dont know how many times has Michael been on Oprah?
Hi Sylvie,
I have the Vhs recording of Michael and Orrin on Oprah,
I recorded it, and now I don't have a VHS player that works, Dang it!!
Orrin was a little nervous, but still performed well, even alone. I liked how Michael talked about Orrin in this show.
I don't get to watch Utube my connection is too slow. but most things on there about Michael I have seen on friends computers at times.
I have seen that you are a big fan of Orrin's and I do check out the site of his, but there has been no new update for a long time. so what do you know?
Hey Kellie, I have that tape too. I asked Orrin why he was so nervous on Oprah. He told me that they’d left his guitar in the trunk of the limo and only realized that 5 minutes before he was to go on, when the driver was on his lunch break! Lol Well, obviously, if you’re gonna be on Oprah, you’re gonna be nervous, but I just thought he could have been like:”Look at me, I’m MB’s brother!” type of thing but he wasn’t. Yeah, I’d say I’m a big fan of Orrin’s… :D Well, I’ve kept in touch with him over the years. I write to him all the time and sometimes he responds. Since I first met him in ’02, I knew he was already writing songs for this album, then he had trouble finding producers for it and then he had studio problems etc. Early last year, he was able to record some tracks in Florida, small world huh? Anna Mason takes care of his fan site, which might be taken down, depending on Orrin’s decision and now, his new site is Orrinbolton.com, where you can order all his releases and read his lyrics for now. To tell you the truth, without Jennifer, I wouldn’t have known about the new release and almost had a heart attack when I found out! Lol I just know how much he went through to get here so I couldn’t be happier for him. I guess that’s about all I know. Any more questions, let me know. Take care Kellie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Jennifer, Michael was on Oprah several times. I think he was there in ’91 for a “dreams come true” theme show and he had a short interview and I think he sang “Soul provider and another song. The same year, he was on an Oprah “Behind the scenes” primetime special that’s labeled “Michael Bolton on Harpo” on Youtube. He was also there in ’92 I believe, with Liza Minelli and Tony Bennett for a Xmas special. He was there in ’95, for the”Greatest hits” album and that was hilarious because Oprah had a part in “Can I touch you there”! lol That’s the one with Orrin. The only other time I can remember was a surprise appearance in 2007, on a tribute to Diane Warren and he sang bits of songs. Anyway, all this to say the one you’re looking for is the 1995 one. Maybe you could find it on one of your new old tapes? Good luck with that Jen. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Just got my copy of Orrin't CD and I love it. My favorite is still the one he sang at Gala last year "Don't Let The Last Word Be Goodbye" but the whole thing is great!!
Hey Jennifer, that sounds like something Orrin would say... :D Listen, where on earth did you get snippets? I've checked every page that seemed relevant on his site but didn't find any snippets, where are they? Ah, I'm dying to hear them! Thanks in advance, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
