Home for Christmas album

According to www.amazon.com Michaels christmas album 'Home for Christmas' is now due for release on december 28th 2010, surely this cant be right can it?

 

Has anyone heard any closer, better dates? I thought it would have been released by now?

PS I meant to also add here that www.amazon.co.uk makes no reference to this album what so ever?? Neither does HMV and www.play.com only has an mp3 download of Michaels 'home for Christmas' but makes now mention of the actual album itself?

 

Confused? Me too!! Home for Christmas? At this rate we'll all have a copy in time for Easter!! Ha Ha!!

Not heard a thing myself.. Why would it come out AFTER Christmas, that makes no sense!! I hoped we'd have heard by now also....

I ordered it here, imported order, in a mega store, and will bring it to me the during January... so bad dates too. =(
Oh, and they told me that I would come from Germany.

Hi Helen, I think it was a fan in Japan who posted a few hours ago that they were going to go to the store and buy it, don’t know if it was only wishful thinking on the fan’s part. Now, since the listings have disappeared from all other or most other music-selling  sites, we’re still waiting to hear anything from management. I hate to say it but it looks to me anyway, as if it’ll be released next year and I mean for Xmas 2011. As I’ve posted already, we haven’t heard anything, we’re already 13 days from Xmas and holliday CD’s have a very short shelf-life. If someone would release a holliday CD at this point, I don’t think it would be wise marketing. What do I know? Personally, I think that Michael has pulled the plug on this project and has decided not to release a christmas album this year.

 

I also think that Michael will take 'The Prayer' and will add it onto another album later on in the year.

 

Sadly it is now far too late now for release for this christmas. I am gutted!!!

 

Tony, if you are looking in on this thread, please ask Michael to report to us whats happening regarding this album?

It looks that way doesn't it Jennifer and I'm not too down about it.

 

I mean, do we really need another Christmas CD? It should be about new music right now to carry on the success and feel of One World One Love. Personally I like the idea of the Duets album or the Blues / Rock album.

Hi Florin, from what Gail has told us, there was confusion at the label concerning the Xmas album, but I really don’t think it’s completely abandoned, only time will tell. There would be a possibility the 2 duets would be on an Helene Fischer CD, wouldn’t there? And I know Mica Paris said in a BBC interview she was doing a Xmas duet with Michael, what ever happened to that? If the songs are indeed recorded, we will hear them eventually. Jennifer said that Michael told her he had recorded “Rock me baby” some time ago and there are plans for the blues album so we’ll hear that one too. And about the duet with Katherine Jenkins, from what I understand, I think it’s the live version from the Xmas show Michael recorded last year that was on Youtube. Well, we do know that the duet with Lara Fabian is supposed to be on the David Foster CD/DVD package. I wonder if they’ll be sold together or separately though… Florin, I am with you as far as the choice to buy or not to buy being with the consumer and that’s perfectly fine. Most of us have figured out the CD won’t be released this year but I do think it’s a shame we didn’t get any explaination.
