Just browsing youtube as always and I came across this great video of  Michael with Patti Labelle singing a medley"nothing like the real thing & You're all I need to get by" I sure this must have been posted before, I have seen it too but I never saw this clear version, sounds and looks great.

Two great powerful voices together, definitely worth listening to again!!

Hi Sylvia, there’s a reason for Michael’s expression… I’ve heard him once in an interview say that that night was absolutely incredible for him. He was backstage, trying to learn the songs with Patti, then the Temptations roll in, then Stevie Wonder walks up to him and sings HAISTLWY to him! Lol Just being there I’m sure was just mind-boggling to be amongst all this iconic talent, so he was just praying to get through it and I guess by the end of the song medley, he was just glad he did it. I always questioned why he said he had to learn the songs though, since he said he was such a Marvin Gaye fan… I love that duet and have heard it many times, an oldie but a goodie! It isn't just his expression - in a beaming smile and practically tears of joy - it is his physical reaction - he grabs Patti and kisses her and holds her tight and hugs and kisses her again - he is so evusive and tactile  - he is just so far "over the moon" he cannot contain his exuberance it just "whams" right out of him - it is beautiful to see and I feel there were definitely tears of joy in his heart if not in his eyes .......for him to say that night was absolutely incredible  - for me it was incredible to watch for to see a man show his emotion with such strength is beautiful - he looks, at one point, as though he is going to fall to his knees in sheer appreciation of the joy he got out of it - just another wee, wee reason to say - Michael Bolton you are SPECIAL and when they made you they broke the mould !!  :))
