2012 TOUR REVIEW THREAD-PLEASE SHARE YOUR 2012 MB CONCERT ADVENTURES WITH US HERE!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE, Since the 2011 Tour Review Thread is not playing nice and throwing us all back to the beginning lately, Gail asked if I would go ahead and start the 2012 thread. So here it is.. We can all share our excitement for Michael's upcoming touring and events in 2012 and chat and have fun here till the shows start in 2012.

Everyone is welcome to post and share their stories and pictures, videos from concerts and trips to see Michael do what he does best-SING!!!   Michael will be touring in 2012 starting so far with some shows the end of January.  There could be other events sooner too so if anyone attends a great Bolton event/concert, feel free to share your experience here.  I hope to have a review after the Chester, PA show on January 28th along with some other fans that have gotten tickets for that show and  the Atlantic City, NJ show on January 27th as well!  After that there are shows in Australia so far listed for 2012.  Following those shows we have the Concert for MBC and Traveler's Golf Event in June, 2012 and later on the MBC Gala in Sept.. We already have some exciting events to look forward to next year and I know there will be much more to come.

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum.. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as before.

CHESTER PA Concert

As in the past, get a cup of coffee or tea, this is a tad long..

 

I posted from my phone yesterday when I was listening to some soundcheck outside in the lobby by the venue. I heard  Love Is Everything, and Pride In The Name of Love, but sadly neither were in the show last night..but that's ok, it was all GREAT!!!!  Ok back to the beginning.

 

The Harrah's Chester Casino was fun, My travel bud and I, as newbies there asked a security guard about the place and he said if we don't have a member playing card get one as they are free money to start playing some with and free dinner at their buffet. That was the start of an amazing day. We lucked into that.. Neither of us gamble or have ever been there before. It was very busy mid-afternoon and parking was not fun, had to wait for someone to leave a parking slot and get it or it would have been gone!!  LOL.My travel bud isn't as much into MB as my BB's are but she enjoyed the show in Cleveland last year and came along again to see it also..I met up with my other BB travel bud and her hubby and two gals that post on yahoogroups  and got to share in their fun time last night as well. Ended up 4 of our seats were together..We didn't even know it!!LOL  She used our "free" money and gambled some and came out ahead, so we both came home with some real cash on THEIR money!!LOL That worked!!!

Before the show started Michael Lington came to the lobby and was talking with the guy at the merchandise table. I went up and chatted with him some about his new CD coming out on Valentine's Day. He is so excited..He's also very proud talking about MB being a part of this CD. I was glad to see him again and he was gracious to pose for a photo with me. I had wanted one before but didn't ask..he had time last night and I appreciate it alot!! I will be getting his new CD when it comes out..I love the first one..

We had 2nd row left side aisle, I had 3rd seat in and my friends and I had the four seats total close to the aisle. My travel friend sat 2nd row a few seats in the on the right side of the aisle and she was not far away and was tickled with second row!!!! My friend's hubby sat a few rows further back.. He didn't mind.. The stage was low and it was short lengthwise. MB came in and went out of the stage area from the steps on the left side, not the back as they maybe didn't have room for his steps down from the back.

We had some ladies that were high rollers or such from the casino in the front row in front of us and they were nice, not too tall so we could see great!!!LOL  

MB was in a great mood..Started the show with Soul Provider and his voice was wonderful He came to our side and looked down and smiled at my friend to my left, he knew familiar faces were in the house!!LOL..I don't remember all the songs, MB fog I guess. He did the acoustical guitar set with DOB and To Love Somebody.. He had a lady over on the right side front row that was a loud fan..She screamed out at him she loved him and such and he teased her back some.. After he was done playing the guitar he threw her the pick and she must have squeeled or something and he said, What did you think I was throwing at you?? LOL  I didn't see her reaction but he was laughing.. There were people calling out things to him and he laughed or replied stuff back.. He did announce we could take all the photos we liked and we all clapped!!! He continued by saying we had to get him in the good lighting!!!  Then he did Said I Loved You but I Lied and he was giving people eye contact and smiled and he pointed at me while he was singing this one!!LOL I was not taking a picture at the time or anything so I pointed back. That was a new one!!LOL  The four of us had  a blast together singing along and rocking out...He did Sweet Home Chicago and took off his jacket and my one friend said,"Now the Shirt" and he heard her..she was so embarrassed..she meant it for us even tho her voice carried, he said no it's NOT that kind of show, I'm sure there is one near here but this is not that kind of show!!LOL And he was laughing..OMG we all cracked up..  He really rocked out on Sweet Home Chicago and after that one he tossed the pick near my friend that had the aisle seat that had just teased him about the shirt and she got it!! I was so tickled for her..  He did Hope It's Too Late and he was the only one doing the clock move but he was doing it. I don't know why or anything but Tiffany was not with him, just Cameron. MB really rocked out on Hope It's Too Late and everyone loved it. The band was in great form last night too, they really were going all out!!!

The crowd was really lively and people were taking pics and having fun all night long. People came up the aisle and were snapping away and he was doing a litte posing at times for them...

Then he brought out the gal that Sylvia helped out up this thread with the name, Kelly Levesque! Thanks Sylvia!!!!

She was so pretty and sang beautifully. This was a lovely set in the show and we all really enjoyed it. They sang  Make Me Feel Your Love and it gave me chills..then they did Over The Rainbow-Kathy R. I thought of you!!!! Also done so beautifully...They did The Prayer and we all gave them a standing ovation, it also gave me chills!!! Wow!!!!! Kelly really can sing and their voices blended so well together I think..He also sang as a duet with her How Am I Supposed to Live W/O You and put the mic out to the audience to sing the chorus..It was a fun segment of the show.

MB started out with Jeans, black shirt and black jacket on, he changed into a black suite for the segment with Kelly.  He looked mighty fine all night..Later it was the black t-shirt, jeans and black tennis shoes..

 

I could be missing a song or so in the first half. Someone else that was there help me here...

Second half of course he goes into the audience for WAMLAW. Only had the center aisle to come up and the steps were on the right side..We all stood up and decided we were going to try to go to the stage when he got back up there.  It was good seeing some forum members last night, Eileen and Lee we all sure had fun..  Teamwork getting to the stage!!!LOL  Also nice to meet Diane too. We met at the best place of all-standing at MB's stage!!LOL   I wondered who gave MB the pirate hat and it was Diane!! Way to go, I saw him with it coming up the aisle!!LOL  After MB got on stage we all decided to go up even tho guards were standing there. I got to my spot left of center between MB's monitors and the piano, my friends on either side of me!! YES!!!!!  Well the security started to say they could not let us up yet and to not be as close, then the security lady had her arm in front of me and MB looked down finishing WAMLAW and had a look of concern on his face, I was right in front of him, and then a man from the other side of the stage told security we all could STAY!!!!  They were not pushy or anything but I was praying we would not be made sit down!  Then a rush of people piled in behind us!!LOL  MB smiled down at my direction after we got to stay!!! The die-hard fans on both sides were at the stage...I looked down to the right and Eileen and them were there too!!! 

MB did Steel Bars next and he was really into it I thought.  He was going back and forth and rocking out and we all were dancing and rocking out with him.  Did a major jump at the end!!!LOL  Then next was Time Love and Tenderness and he put the mic down for me to sing the chorus. I always hope he never can really hear me..OMG I cannot sing!!LOL  He was so attentive and held hands with a lot of fans at the stage last night and during a pass by our side he held all our hands and smiled down..He just went down the line..Too cool!!!  So then he thanked everyone and of course we waited for the encore. I was hoping for Pride in the Name of Love as my friend that had been in A City said he did that one there but we had Georgia instead. I won't complain as he sat two feet away from us on the stool in front of the piano..He really gets into the feel of Georgia.I took quite a few pics during that one!!LOL..So after that one and a bunch of pics later the show was over.  He came back over after the bow and held our hands again briefly and we were able to thank him...which was an extra bonus..He held alot of hands on he way to the steps last night to leave the stage. Very, very nice of MB to do that. .He took the time.: So that was another rocking concert experience for me!!  It was a wonderful night with great friends just having a blast..And the extra special thing that happened was two of the friends were seeing MB after. .They are die-hard long time fans and were able to visit with him after the show...We waited for them and we sat and talked for over an hour..just sharing in their excitement and fun and all that goes with getting to chat with MB.. that was icing on the cake for me last night. It truly was to hear them tell about there great time..MB is the best, he cares about his fans and truly does what he can for the fans when he can. THANK YOU MICHAEL for an amazing night more ways than you will ever know.

 

This show was about 1 hour and 45 minutes long. He commented when he came out for Georgia they had already run over by 12 minutes. LOL But he did another song and we were not complaining!!!!

Also, while waiting for them to come out I was able to come home with one of the display posters they had around. The lady was going to throw it away so she gave it to me. It's a nice size and has the photo from OWOL on it..I will add it to the collection. It rode home on the back seat today!!LOL

I got some good pictures of the show and will post them when I can. I have to go thru them yet...

What a wonderful break from the boring winter months here in Maryland!!!!  My travel buddy loved the show and just thinks he's got the best voice and does a wonderful variety of music. This is coming from a non-Bolton fan, but a music fan.. And she would tell me the truth if she didn't like it but she loved it...She enjoyed meeting more of my BB's and being a part of it all last night..It was a fun 24 hours away..now back to reality, work tomorrow  but with a big grin on my face that's for sure!!!!!!!

I look forward to reading the reviews from Eileen and Lee and Diane too. I may have left something out you guys remembered..the MB fog sets in after a while!!!!!  Correct me if I missed anything ladies.  You know how it all runs together after a while!!LOL

Oh boy I have been so very busy lately I hadn't even realised it was time for your concert :)

I loved the review very much

It's hard to describe when you read these reviews because I never felt this way before I went to a Michael Bolton Concert but it kinds of makes you sit at the computer with (I AM SURE) a stupid grin on my face reading these and for a moment I can visualise the concert, Michael's grin etc.

Oh Robin thank you so, so much and I certainly opened up this computer at the right time tonight.....it was my brother's birthday today and him and my nephew were along at me for a little party and they have not long left and I must admit I was sitting earlier on thinking about your review and dying to open my laptop and see if it was here and then wow when I did there it was and what a great one too !!! :)   I didn't half LOL at your comment about Michael and the guitar pick that sounded a real bit of fun including the kid on about the shirt and too so glad you got to meet Michael Lington as you did - great !!! :)    The whole experience sounds absolutely wonderful and I am so glad that you shared it all with us - thanks Robin !!!! :)

OMG Robin...what I can say except that I had on that same silly smile face as Dianna!!!!! You can't help it...WE LOVE MICHAEL!!!! And oh my....the feelings and memories these great reviews bring back is immeasurable!! THANK YOU Robin!!!!! Well.......what can I say about the song list.....Over the Rainbow???? You brought a tear to my eye and even as I type this sentences my vision is blurred!!!! Ahhhhhh.....you made my day and made me hopeful that my day is coming to hear Michael sing OTR!!! PLEASE MICHAEL!!!! I have to send out a plea whenever and wherever!! I loved seeing your "bobble head" Robin in the TLT video!!!!!!! There are few things better than rocking out with Michael!!! OMG!!! I am soooooo happy that you made it to the stage all the way from second row!!!!! ROFL and no one was decapitated!!! Too much fun reading your review and I LOVE all the fun that you and your friends had last night :)  Way to go Robin and the journey continues for more Bolton Adventures in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
