2012 TOUR REVIEW THREAD-PLEASE SHARE YOUR 2012 MB CONCERT ADVENTURES WITH US HERE!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE, Since the 2011 Tour Review Thread is not playing nice and throwing us all back to the beginning lately, Gail asked if I would go ahead and start the 2012 thread. So here it is.. We can all share our excitement for Michael's upcoming touring and events in 2012 and chat and have fun here till the shows start in 2012.

Everyone is welcome to post and share their stories and pictures, videos from concerts and trips to see Michael do what he does best-SING!!!   Michael will be touring in 2012 starting so far with some shows the end of January.  There could be other events sooner too so if anyone attends a great Bolton event/concert, feel free to share your experience here.  I hope to have a review after the Chester, PA show on January 28th along with some other fans that have gotten tickets for that show and  the Atlantic City, NJ show on January 27th as well!  After that there are shows in Australia so far listed for 2012.  Following those shows we have the Concert for MBC and Traveler's Golf Event in June, 2012 and later on the MBC Gala in Sept.. We already have some exciting events to look forward to next year and I know there will be much more to come.

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum.. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as before.

Welcome everyone!!!!!

Your daughter ain't the only one who loves back Street Boys. So do I, Sylvie. I'll probably be in the rafters so to speak--last in line but I should check into this. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

Well, folks. Wish me luck. I know i won't get close but hope I get there in time so the fire Marshals won't send me away. & I can understand but since I use public transportation & if I get turned away, I'd have to wait until 9 or so to get my ride back so, with the grace of God, I'll make it. I'm keeping a positive, that I'll get in even if I were the last person. It's a shopping center&where the tree lighting is in a certain place. It's advized to get there by 4 so, I'm gonna try my best & have my stand&walking shoes on & pray someone will be kind to help me around. I'm a little shy doing this or a little nervous in fact, quite nervous. But if I sit @ home, nothing's gonna happen. I wonder if Kathy, Bob, Ashley & Tom will be there. With all these people, I wouldn't meet up. Wish me lucks BB'S. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

I wish you luck Robin CA and I am sure you will have a great time, just remember to take care but soak up the atmosphere and I am sure it will all work out !! :)   Don't believe Kathy will be there for she will just be coming back from Reno on Sunday and as it is about an 8 hour drive for them, can't see it but maybe she will push herself that extra mile for Michael but I really don't know.   I don't believe Ashley and Tom would be there for I believe they will go straight home from Nevada for I can't see them doing an 8 hour journey and then a journey home from LA just to hear Michael sing a one or two songs.....don't really see that one Robin not even for Tom and Ashley, BUT, there again who am I to say when I don't know for definite !!

I'm quite a bit apprehensive going to the grove though. I wouldn't be going with anyone & it's an outside mall & they'll close the shopping down @ 4 &the event starts @ 7:30. If it were a concert hall or theater, that would be a lot easier. then, if I get rejected because to too many people, I'd have to wait for my ride @ least 2 hours. So, just for 1 or 2 songs, I think Michael would forgive me. I'm thinking on it & the more I think, the more apprehensive I feel. Am I weird or what? I can understand those 5 wouldn't be there coming back from Reno. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton & besides, he'll never know I'm there. If the other girl & I knew one another that's going, it would be cool. I'm extremely nervous doing this alone & I've gone & done a lot alone too. Not to be bragging, understand.

Hey Robin, may your angels watch over you girlfriend, but hope you do meet BB's, you go girl! Take good care of yourself Robin. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada xxx

I wrote a message & it didn't go througyh. I don't know how far 3rd street is from thhe grove drive. I imagine not too far & they probably do have security which I wouldn't expect him/her to stay with me from say 4 to 9:15 or anything. I'm just nervous & Michael may only do a song or 2. It's neat about the tree lighting&dear ole' Santa. Aw! Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

Hi again Robin, well noone is forcing you to go sweetie. I know you want to "see" Michael, but if you're nervous going alone, don't go... Well, whatever you decide, good luck to you my friend. Big hugs, sincerely, love, Sylvie from Canada xxx

Have found the below article in the Reno Gazette about MBC's event tomorrow, 10th November, in the Eldorado Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada and whilst not part of the tour schedule I suppose a concert is involved so hence reason for placing on this thread..................

"In the early 1990s, singer Michael Bolton received a letter from a child with cancer who had wanted to meet the Grammy Award-winning artist.

While Bolton was trying to set up a meeting shortly after, the child passed away.

Ever since then, Bolton has been committed to raising money for The Michael Bolton Charities, which has given about $15 million to nonprofits nationwide.

Bolton’s annual fundraising dinner is in Reno for the first time at the Eldorado Hotel Casino on Saturday, and tickets are still available. The Michael Bolton-Reno connection comes from Warren and Jâlé Trepp of Reno, who have donated about $15 million to The Bolton Charities and will receive lifetime achievement awards.

“(Bolton) is a champion for the less fortunate,” said Nanci Glogauer, co-chair of the event with Chip Bowlby and Christina Caramella. “And we have a big war in Nevada to win.”

Bolton has teamed up with Dave Mason, a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and guitarist for the band Traffic, to raise money for at-risk women and children.

While the event aims to raise money for Bolton’s charities, fellow co-chair Bowlby said he hopes to gross $500,000 locally for the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and the Nevada Military Support Alliance.

“We hope to host this event annually,” said Bowlby, who added that he thinks Reno can be the host for years to come if they can get enough donations. “Reno is a perfect place to host.”

The decision to bring the event to Reno occurred when the Trepps were told about receiving their awards. Together they suggested Reno host the event after it had been held in Connecticut and California.

After Bolton was told that Nevada had 36,000 cases of domestic violence last year and among those cases 17,000 involved children, he committed to Reno.

“That really hit home with Michael,” Bowlby said. “We came together and said, ‘We’re going to bring it here.’”

Event organizers touted the celebrities that will be in attendance, including Bill Champlin, Carol Leifer, Chipper Lowell, Joan Lunden and Lisa Niemi Swayze. Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, who Glogauer said is known for her work helping missing and exploited children, will act as the honorary chair."

Thanks for the article Sylvia. Wow! Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

Thank you for posting this article about MBC, Sylvia. Very wonderful thing MB does to help a very good cause.

Hugs,

Kathy T. :-)

Hey Sylvia,

Great find, Thanks for sharing:)! Wow!

Mary (meg's mom)!

Know this reply will not fall where intended but I am having problems using the "reply" button attached to comments......in fact I can't use for I keep going back to top of page so am literally at top of page to put this comment in !!! lol

Robin CA to let you know I never saw anywhere about Michael only singing one or two songs; that was just my own thoughts and based purely on the number of other performers that are going to be there as well as fitting in the celebration of lighting the tree for I would imagine speeches will go along with that.....so I was only trying to gauge how much could be fitted into a 2 hour window and in that window I can't see Michael being on the stage, for lets say, an hour or so and that was why I plumped for a couple of songs BUT he may sing more !!

Can well understand you wondering what it would be like for you especially if you have never been to such an event because that is how everybody reacts and feels when going to something new unless you are exceptionally overconfident then it is natural to feel apprehension......well, I believe it is natural, because I always feel apprehensive when going to something or somewhere for the first time BUT what you have got to decide is if you really want to go and if giving yourself such worry about what might, or might not happen, is worth it !! I would also think and would hope that you have come across it many times in your life but surely people in CA are compassionate and not as dispassionate as you seem to wonder, in that there is always this question whether someone will help you or not, for I would think you must have been, in your life, in plenty of situations where a little help was needed as I believe the great majority of us have found ourselves in a similar situation in needing help of some kind but, whether I am just lucky in coming from the city of Glasgow which is recognized as having the friendliest people on earth and then coming to an equally friendly little town where everyone and anyone will put out a hand to help someone, maybe I am spoiled and as I say maybe the people in CA would trod on you rather than help you.....I don't know for I have never been to CA but I have been in other parts of the world and have always come across exceptionally friendly people and too compassionate people so why Robin CA shouldn't you meet someone like that at the Grove ??
