This should be a very exciting year for all of us with MB’s new book coming out as well as a new CD and possibly his TV show starting later in the year too? We never know with MB as he’s got so many things going on at once!!LOL   We can report here if there are any book signings as well if you all want to. Thank you so much for the link, Sylvia. It is rare being at work this time of night that I can watch an entire interview live. It was a great interview too!! I loved MB's Rodney Dangerfield impersonations and watching again MB's and Pavarotti's dynamic duet. Thanks again!!

Big Hug,

Kathy T. :)

I do too Kathy T.. OMG he's too funny.  I would pay to see an hour of Rodney done by MB!!LOL  Well done interview in that she let him talk...I think I saw the girls down front before it started, I hope the two folks I think was them, really was Lee and Joy..

Was fun watching that.

Have put this on the Miscellany thread but thought no harm done in bringing over here when a lot of people follow this thread and it is to say that the interview Michael did with George Stromboulopoulos will be shown on his Tonight programme on CBC on Monday, at 7.00 p.m.   He does put a lot of videos on his webpage after airing so hopefully we will be able to get a link to this one.

So, now that I'm way behind, I won't be able to listen to the live stream of Lisa's interview & all with Michael? Or what? Just wondering. Perhaps Sylvie sent it to me. I'm still way behind.

Hey Robin, I send you everything girl. I'll check later if the interview is still available from the link I'd sent, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Well, if I heard MB imitating Rodney I'd better have the inhalers ready. When he impersonate him @ a concert, I died laughing. Wow!

Hi all, I know, I know where have I been---- it's been over a week?!!  Well up on that cloud for sure ......but since last Monday Sept. 9th when the NYC event was I had to work every day. (My boss is away so no days off for me!) Finally off Mon. 9/16, but had to baby sit all day.  The only time I've been able to get online is late at night, and I have just been to tired to download my pics, and get into all this. Sorry!! But I got a burst of energy today and I really want to tell you all about it.

So I know a few of you watched the web cast and posted what you saw, Gloria posted a nice long review so I may be repeating a few things here and once again so sorry this is so late girls!

Lee picked me up & we went to the train station which is only 5 minutes from my house. We wanted to get to the venue early to deal with the seat situation.  So we met up with Gloria there, went to talk to the house manager about the seats, she assurred us front row was saved with name tags pinned to the chairs. (Now we are all happy! And Gloria gets to move up from 2nd row to be with us!) We had an hour to find a place to eat so we all just went to a diner for a quick bite. Great to visit and chat although we didn't have to much time. We walked back to the bldg. and were told to get in the "other" line for the premium seating. I think that was for us that had the first few row tickets previously bought or those of us who complained! Had about 15 more minutes before they would let us in to sit so I decided to go to the ladies room so I wouldn't have to worry about it for the next 2 hours. BIG MISTAKE!! I come back and Lee & Gloria are carrying on to me that I missed Michael!  He actually came in the front door and walked right by everyone!! He waved and said hi as he walked in, but he was right there! OMG, are you kidding me???? Oh well, hey I was going to be sitting right in front of him for close to 2 hours........

The opening when Valerie announced him and said she had an important phone call first, that was funny! "Don't call Michael Bolton!" LOL!! Loved it! She was very good, I remembered listening to her every day on the NY radio daytime station 107.1 (I think) while I was at work all day.  She was a #1 DJ for years. Later I went up to her to tell her that, and how we all enjoyed the interview.

You were all correct, I had on a teal green top, Gloria to my right had a red top on, Lee to my left had on a black & blue print top I think?

The show was held in the original room-Kaufmann Hall, so I guess they did get more tickets sold the last days before. My guess is there were about 200 there. We were not allowed to record or take pictures during the interview, which I thought would happen. That would be very distracting to MB & Valerie and basically rude. It's different during a concert. We could take them during the book signing.

I printed out the 92Y page where some of you had typed questions for MB. I was going to show them to Lee & Gloria. (Syliva-when you said you saw me in the front row looking though papers that's what I was doing! And showing them my 8X10 that I was hoping MB might sign later.) I was going to ask him about his new sitcom, what was the status of that? And could he tell us if he was going to be a guest on the Glee show? Sylvie B, had a few questions she wanted me to ask him also. So I was looking over these to remind myself what they were again. I knew when it got to Q&A time and if they called on me, I would probably freeze and forget my questions! Well, they never did ask the audience for questions.  I do now remember at one point during the interview a few girls with white papers walking around looking into the audience. I had no idea what they were doing. Then later Valerie had those papers up on the stage and read the questions from them. We were not given these or explained anything about them. I thought they would just ask us to raise our hands and directly ask MB the questions. So sorry Sylvie I couldn't ask yours or mine for that matter!

The interview was great, yes we here know most all of this stuff anyway. But to be there to see him, listen to him talk, joke, do impressions, it was wonderful. Especially sitting there right in front of him. And a few times he looked right at me as I am sure he did others of us because we were sitting up close. Well, that was the best feeling ever.............sigh!
Took this before it started, shows you how close our seats were!
(Robin CA & Sylvie B-Pic of our view of the stage. Shows
the 2 seats where MB & Valerie would be sitting.)
Lee took this outside the venue before it started. (Joy & Gloria)
