Brainstorming for our Michael's birthday
Hi everyone, well this is my first attempt at starting a discussion so hope I’m doing this right... :D . A couple of weeks ago, I asked Gail when she thought would be a proper time to start thinking of what we fans want to do for our Michael’s 60th birthday. She said she was out of ideas, but suggested I’d start a thread asking fans for suggestions. I figure we have exactly 4 months, starting today, to come up with something fun and get mobilised to achieve it. I’m no organizer, I just thought we could share ideas so let’s put our heads together and see what we can come up with! :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada J
*The 2 most popular suggestions so far are:
- individual donations to michaelboltoncharities.com, mentionning they are made in honor of Michael’s birthday, of any amount you feel comfortable with.
-a collective wall-hanging made from personalized fabric squares sent by fans that will be stitched together. The 4 inch/10 cm squares (with small blank margin) only need have your signature and location but can be crafty as you are able. For
more info, ask here, or PM either me, or Amie Angeli who will be doing the stitching and presenting the finished product to our Michael.
**Note: The final deadline for recieving fabric squares is February 15th, so you don't have much time left. :D
**It would also mean a lot to Michael if fans donate to the Red Cross for victims of hurricane Sandy at:

I am just trying to make sure that these other folks coming in to tell there adventures w/Michael & the band...they may want to have a place on his way hanging with there own "Squares"....so let's keep this out in front for everyone to see:)!

Agree with you Mary and I think there are quite a few people who are going to be sending squares that just haven't said on here and I can tell you one and I hope it makes Michael happy when he sees it and pretty sure it will be lovely and bright on the wall hanging and it is Xiang from China is going to send a piece of Chinese silk with brushwriting on it......now that, in my book, is going worldwide and letting MB know just how far his fan base spreads and I believe we could end with a very, very cosmopolitan wall hanging !! :)

Perhaps Xiang will write Double Happiness on her square? LOL! Hope I remember a few characters so I can read it - long time since I lived in Hong Kong. But I bet it will be beautiful. Chinese calligraphy & brushpainting can be very beautiful. Looking forward to putting all these wonderful squares together. Cheers to all, Amie

Just bought what I hope will be what I need to do my square and get it in the mail right after the Christmas mail deliveries are done. I am sure MB is going to LOVE all the squares from around the world as well as the fans here in the USA..It will really be a nice thing for him to know his fans adore him and always will!!!!

Yep. Around the world in 2 months & 11 days till MB'S birthday. This is so coo. Boltonnut from L. A. CA wholoves life & Michael Bolton :) I love how Xiang's name's written. I wish more folks would post though on all these threads.
